Home Instead have provided us with excellent help, from housework, to dog walking, cooking and companionship for my mum when we are away. Nothing is too much bother. Staff are always willing to help and listen to our needs, and keen to improve the service in whatever way they can.

Home Instead has been providing daily care visits for my father for several years now and without them he would not be able to remain living comfortably in his own home. The carers have become more like family to us and are friendly and efficient. They provide personal care needs, administer medication, prepare meals and ensure household jobs like laundry, making beds and emptying bins are completed. Communication with management is easy and enables us to adjust to ever changing care requirements, such as helping with showering and transport to and from health appointments. The minimum one hour visit allows for interactions between my father and carers to be unrushed and meaningful. My father's mobility is poor and he rarely leaves the house, so he really values seeing a friendly face (who isn't family!) and chatting about topics of interest.

Home lnstead have been very honest and transparent in their dealings with my Dad. He is a very reluctant client and they have managed to win his trust. I am very grateful for the peace of mind this has given my family. The staff have spotted things that needed medical attention before we did, leading to a better outcome for my Dad. My Dad has benefited from Home lnstead's careful matching of staff to client, and their costing and scheduling model makes for a more humanising service.

The carer assigned to my Mum was great and the team were in regular contact with me (and my Mum) throughout the 2 weeks to check all was going ok. Couldn't recommend Home Instead more highly. Like another reviewer here I was also concerned about my mum and her ability to manage things as she's 85, has poor memory and sight. She was also lonely & I live 200 miles away. It took many months for her to get used to the idea of someone coming in to help but she loves the companion that Home Instead have sent. I don't have to worry so much and her companion can help with things that mum can't do, as well as keeping her company once a week. It was all arranged very efficiently and the service is just great all round.

The team at Home Instead have given great support to my Mum since they started visiting her in May this year. Initially they visited her at home and she has become friends with the two ladies who visited her. They continued to visit when she had respite care in a local care home and she was so pleased to see a familiar face at least once a day. They certainly helped relieve Mums anxieties. My Mum has now made the decision to remain in a care home and I am continuing with the companionship visits because of the friendships she has developed. I would highly recommend this company.

Home Instead (Mid Cornwall) truly deserve their recent Outstanding award from the CQC. Having dealt with a number of care agencies , I can honestly say this team are in a league of their own. My 93yr old aunt lives in our family home so, as much as Home Instead care for my aunt, we all needed to be comfortable with the care givers coming in to our home - and we are! The office team do a great job in responding to any changes we need to make. They are thorough in their record keeping and ensuring that all care givers know of changes to medications or tasks. The care givers are all genuinely caring people who work hard on every visit to make my aunt feel comfortable and safe. They always arrive at the time agreed, follow the routines in detail and above all offer dignity, respect and compassion. We particularly appreciate that we have a core team of carers, each one introduced on a shadow visit before coming alone. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

Hand on heart, I don't know as a family what we would have done without HI Chester. From that first call to Jayne, they shifted into action at a very urgent, stressful and emotional time. They were very professional, experienced, caring and supportive. Their hands on care was of the highest standard, and I have already recommended them to friends and family. No request was too much - they moved mountains for us - and I feel very lucky that our experience has softened a heartbreaking journey.
