I cannot recommend Home Instead enough, the care and consideration they have show not only for my mom's needs but also for me has been outstanding. We Initially used Home Instead for weekend live in care for Mum but as her dementia progressed, we went to full time live in care. I cannot sing their praises enough! Our whole experience from start to finish was absolutely amazing. The communication between our family and the two managers was second to none. They always bent over backwards to meet mums needs and nothing was too much trouble. They matched the carers with mums needs and personality and always closely monitored any changes to her condition. They were always at the end of the phone if needed and very quick to respond to messages. Mum thrived with home insteads care and continues to live happily and safely in her own home. I can't recommend this company enough. They go above and beyond to ensure your loved one is safe and happy

We have used Home Instead now for 9 years, first with my Father in law and now with my Mother in law. As a care provider we acknoweledge they are not the cheapest but we also feel quality is value for money, not just for us but the local authority/health funders. In that time I think we have had 2 hospital admissions. We like the fact that staff are well trained and well supported and communication processes between us as a family, HI and all the other professionals involved in Mums care is excellent. We feel HI staff care and are compassionate and its not "just a job". Yes turnover of staff can be high in this sector however we feel HI probably have one of the lowest turnovers and when new staff are required they are introduced first and supported effectively before delivering care. Effective home care is about collaboration between all parties and HI are an important partner in maintaining our Mums quality of life,

Overall, we are quite satisfied with the care my brother is receiving, however, we have had to remind office staff that information keeps getting lost somehow. My brother enjoys the visits and his flat is kept clean with bedding changed regularly. The carers don't read instructions for preparing frozen foods, and we have had to mention it several times.

My mother loves the visits from Home Instead. Whenever I am with her she says, 'I'm so lucky to have them!' They are kind, she loves the company (and the Scrabble!). They always go the extra mile. Being able to stay in her own home is a huge deal for her and Home Instead make that possible. From my point of view, it removes the worry I used to have that she wasn't coping on her own.

I have been delighted with the service provided by Home Instead for my brother.
He is in his late seventies, has suffered cognitive decline & lost his much loved wife & carer last year. Our goal was to allow him to stay in his home and have freedom to do what he wants, when he wants.
HI spent much time at our initial meeting gathering information, his physical & mental challenges, his preferences & dislikes and then risk assessed the flat. A potential carer match was found quickly and trialled. This went very well. She attends for just 1 hour per day at teatime to tidy & provide him with a meal, a batch of which that we order weekly.
From our family perspective, we are comforted in the knowledge that he is a) Ok and b) eating well. The daily online reports that Deborah provides are very useful.
The Home Instead Team have been able to provide consistent support to my mother since they started in March this year, and this has meant she has had a regular team with familiar faces and the opportunity to build up some really positive relationships. The management team are easy to contact when issues arise and the carers are very skilled at what they do.

Living, as I do, over 50 miles away I can check the carer's notes written after each visit for peace of mind. Communication is very good, appraising me of any changes. Also carer's will take Mother to appointments and have even visited Mother in hospital so she sees a friendly face.
Mum is very happy with the care and the carers. She has become fond of them. I know she enjoys the chat but I would like to see more activity. She needs exercise and fresh air so it would be good if she was taken out even to the garden or the park which is nearer than they supermarket.

The Care Pros are always kind, friendly, helpful,and willing. They arrive on time, unless there is a genuine reason not to, and then they make every effort to get there as soon as possible. They carry out their tasks with good himour and compassion.
The App keeps everyone informed, including me, and, apart from it being good to know what is going on or how the health of my Mum is, it is an excellent way for everyone involved to be informed of what is happening.
The Office Staff are also very willing to assist in any situation and they do an amazing job of keeping both their Clients and their Staff happy.
