My Mum lives on her own, with the three of us kids and her only sister all living many miles away - she doesn't need to be in a care home but she does need some additional support and (even more importantly) a bit of companionship.
We first started to employ Home Instead a year ago, after Mum had an emergency op and was really discombobulated by that, and they were fantastic. We had a hiatus at the end of last year and the start of this year when it was all systems go to get Mum moved into accommodation which better suited her needs; now that she's settled, we've got Home Instead back in to continue that companionship.
What's really great is that they're very responsive to any questions, requests or suggestions, and the app is a brilliant way of us seeing home reports after each visit. Highly recommended!

Home Instead Dorchester provided care visits to my Aunt and Uncle until he passed away in January 2025. They continued to look after my Aunt until June this year. Their staff have been kind, caring and many of them created a strong bond with my Aunt and Uncle. They were quick to inform me, close friends and family, the doctor's surgery etc when they had concerns about my Aunt and Uncle's health or general well being. The office staff were pro active and helpful adapting and increasing the care over time as needed. Thank you to you all for being great carers!

I find the company very professional. The care staff I have are always on time and you get at least one full hour never less. The carer has a very kind manner around my husband and is aware of his needs and temperament. Office staff always check that service meets our needs and keep us informed re holidays etc and if we need replacement carer. I have always wanted the same care staff and they have supplied this for us. Aware in future I will need more help and confident they will meet our needs.

Very kind helpful carers. Reliable. Punctual. A regular team provides care for my mother which is key for her stability and routine. Office staff always helpful and willing to be as flexible as possible.
Home Instead provide a PA for our young adult child who is autistic with ADHD. A small team of PAs have been introduced to provide consistent availability. All of them have been excellent: friendly, flexible and pro-active in finding out what activities would be most helpful for each session. We have found that the adult-to-adult support provided has enabled things previously unachievable.
Home Instead helped my grandma move back into her home after trying a care home for several months.
She didn't get along with her care home at all, she lost weight and was very unhappy.
We couldn't bear seeing her like this, so my wife got in touch with Home Instead to arrange home care for my grandma, and the difference since she returned home has been eye opening.
My grandma is much happier, is eating properly, and has regained her joy.
Our family will forever be grateful to Home Instead and their superb carers for facilitating this and for looking after my grandma so warmly.
Home Instead have been supporting my Father now with twice weekly personal care for 5 months. The care he has received from both carers has been outstanding. They are both professional and caring and he looks forward to their visits. One of our requests when starting our journey into home care was that the Home Instead would keep to the same regular carers, which they have done so without fail. Kelly and Alma are wonderful carers and I would highly recommend them to others who require assistance as home.
My experience with this team was brilliant.
I have found the care service professional and efficient. It is daunting trying to manage my mother's care from a distance and my experience of the manager and the care professionals is very positive and supportive and they are always available if I have any issues. Any problems are dealt with promptly and I don't feel that I am dealing with all of this on my own. They have a good knowledge of working with dementia so are patient and understanding to my mother. I would recommend this service to others.

A brilliant, highly recommended Care Company - gold star. My mother-in-law has been looked after for quite a few months and has been treated like a family member. Suffering from dementia she has been cared for with dignity, patience, encouragement and love. Nothing has been too much for any of her carers and so myself and the rest of Mum's family want to say a big thankyou to all 3 who looked after her. I can't rate highly enough the care we have received for my father from Home Instead and the team. We had a pretty harrowing time for about 6 months with the failing health of my father and I certainly couldn't have survived without the support from ALL the lovely ladies who were by my side throughout. And when things got tough at the end, they went over and above looking after my lovely dad with time, dignity and respect.
