I was very impressed with their punctuality even when dealing with multiple road works and deviations, and the way in which they looked for extra tasks to do after helping with my personal care. We started a care arrangement with Home Instead (Oldham & Saddleworth) in March 2023 for my mum and dad.
They had been struggling to cope, but were determined to continue living in their own home for as long as possible. Since then HI have all been a major part of our family and enabled my mum and
dad to stay and live at home in their house for another 3 years.
Every single HI person has been a star.
My mum and dad are so grateful for everything HI have done for them.
For our part, my brother and I cannot thank HI enough for everything they have done for our mum and dad over the last 3 years.
One last thought, when we were looking at care providers in 2023, a few people had commented that HI are "quite expensive". In our experience, you get what you pay for. All the staff are caring, committed and professional, and went above and beyond whenever we needed them to. You will be able to find cheaper. I doubt you wil be able to find better. Overall, cannot recommend HI highly enough.

From my initial phone call to Home Instead, my concerns about having carers attend my father on a daily basis were met with compassion and understanding.


At the first home meeting we were advised on the options available. As we required help in tight deadlines, the company made arrangements for our

care to start promptly.


The carers assigned to my dad are excellent and their personalities suit my dad perfectly. All the staff we have met have been kind, considerate and understanding.


The service we have all received from Home Instead has been excellent so far and I would highly recommend them.


The carers are building a relationship with my dad now and he now appreciates and enjoys his time with them.

Carers are easy to find , good carers are more difficult.
Homecare have proved they are very good carers right from the staff, the service and the management. They deliver over and above what I expected.
They really care about my mother's wellbeing and their communication with me has been exceptional.
I strongly recommend them to other people in the same circumstance as I am with an elderly parent who needs to be looked after.

We have used Home Instead Stirling for many years now and they have always provided kind, patient carers. The care team built up a lovely rapport with both of my parents which they are continuing with my Mum. She loves to see their familiar faces, enjoy their company and have a laugh together. Lunch
is a highlight, which is carefully prepared by them.
The carers work well with the live-in carer and are open to do whatever needs to be done during their break.
The office team provide invaluable support too, finding solutions for last minute needs with kindness and understanding.

I already knew of Home Instead as we had used them before when my Dad was alive and also through my professional role as a Dementia Specialist nurse.So when my husband was very sadly diagnosed with Dementia, it was a no brainer that I would look to Home Instead to provide companionship/respite visits.
My husband was very reluctant at first but now he is in a weekly routine, he enjoys his worker's visits. She always comes with a cheerful , " can do" attitude ( most important when working with people with Dementia) and always with a plan of how they can spend the two hours . He always comes back smiling and says how nice his worker is. That gives me peace of mind, knowing that I can enjoy my free time, knowing that he is having a good time too! I would highly recomnend Home Instead, if you want kindness, compassion and a great standard of care.

Four years ago my father moved from the South up to a flat in Warrington to be nearer to me. He was already suffering with cognitive impairment and we could not have moved him successfully without the amazing help and support of the Home Instead team. The support began with a few lunch time visits and
over the years the help was adapted and grew to more frequent support to ensure Dad was eating, administer medication and provide support. The carers were patient, kind and always go the extra mile to help Dad.
Sadly Dad's dementia has progressed to the point that he has moved to dementia care in a home and Home Instead support him in that move too. Visiting him there to help him settle. I cannot adequately express my appreciation for the help and support over the years but I recommend you wholeheartedly to everyone who may need help.

Carers looked after my sister for nearly 2 years, at first for 2 hours, 3 days a week, then daily for 4 hours. They got to know her well and adapted their care to her needs and preferences, eg going for walks with her, sharing her interest in birds, bringing history videos on their phone for her to
watch, taking her to her weekly choir rehearsal. They shopped with her (or for her if she was unwell), made sure she ate her meals and encouraged her with conversation. They checked her physical health, did her pulmonary exercises with her and took her to see her GP when necessary. When she collapsed out shopping, her carer called an ambulance, accompanied her to A & E and stayed an extra hour there until I could reach the hospital. Central management was equally supportive and sensitive, keeping the team small enough for my sister to become familiar with them, finding solutions to every problem, and providing me with invaluable support during difficult times. I can't praise them too highly

Nearly two years ago when I realised my husband needed professional care on account of his Dementia and Alzheimer's together with other health issues, several friends and colleagues highly recommended HomeInstead. I was not disappointed. Pauline and her colleagues looked after John with such care, compassion
and patience it was inspiring to watch. On several occasions I needed live in care and Maida was fantastic, keeping a watchful eye on him during the night too and cooking him delicious meals. In the end Pauline steered me through the process of getting John assessed and into a local care home, advising on when it was the right time to move him. He is in the care home now but we will always look back on the happy times he had with his team from HomeInstead. All the carers were totally honest and trustworthy and Mentor always did a great job of sourcing carers for me, even at the last minute when I had forgotten I needed help!

My mum was recently diagnosed with early dementia at 88,you know things are changing but don't want to admit as her daughter you can't cope. I was at mums every day doing all the things she couldn't do but I knew I needed a day off .Home instead west Fife and Kinross were recommended to me by a care
home making that call was one of the hardest things I have ever done , the care manager was so lovely and understanding and made an appointment to come out and see us.The meeting went well and the team were so supportive and helpful I knew I had made the right decision. We set up a care plan for 1day a week to have carer come to give mum some companionship and make her a hot meal. Mum was a bit tearful at first and insisted she could manage herself but we are now 4month on and she has got to know the carers and looks forward to her "day off". What I like is new carers are introduced by the care manager, every one of the team have been excellent with mum she is well looked after thank you.

I am continuing to benefit from the professional service I receive from Home Instead staff.
It is a pleasure to welcome the carer into my home . We discuss what has happened since the last visit and what I would like done on the day.
My family also are happy with the service as it frees them up to
take me out to visit friends or go to the local cinema for example.
Looking forward to the Spring weather so my care and I can go out for walk too.

Staff always helpful and ensure all activities are carried out. Detail written on the app very helpful. Polite at all times and informative to family when required. Approachable and no job is too much trouble. Always let you know if they cannot make the allotted time allowing other arrangements to be
made.

Homeinstead has been a great organisation to work with. They have been supporting my dad over last 6 months and adapted to his increasing needs over last 3 months. The office staff and carers are all very friendly and kind. I don't live nearby which means I have to call office sometimes to discuss changes
and everyone always friendly and willing to accommodate. The carers themselves are so kind and supportive to my dad. He has liked every one. Highly recommend this organisation as a homecare support service.
