Strong communication and duty of care. I am pleased to say that my mother feels at ease and comfortable around her carer and the companionship does help her to stay grounded and alert. The service takes time to understand the individual needs of service users and that also gives relatives reassurance.

Home Instead have been fantastic in supporting my mum for the last 4 years. The ladies who called each evening to make her a meal were helpful and friendly. Home Instead provided reliable companionship and welfare support for my father during a very difficult period. The carers attended regular welfare visits, accompanied him to hospital appointments, and were always courteous and professional. I also appreciated their proactive efforts to help identify potential council funding when his care needs increased. While the service has clearly defined boundaries on what it can provide, the support they offered within those boundaries was dependable and gave me reassurance when I was unable to be there myself. My Dad continues to be very happy with the service he receives from his Home Instead carers. Although he rarely has very many specific tasks for them to do, he always seems pleased to see them and, if nothing else, they provide an additional contact for him during the week when family are not necessarily able to drop by. Overall, very pleased.
It is a privilege to care for such a lovely man and also be a support to the family.

Home Instead have been providing care and support for my uncle over a number of months. He had previously had poor experiences with some of his previous carers, leaving him very anxious due to inconsistent visiting times , multiple new people etc. Home Instead are a breath of fresh air. The care team are immensely caring, kind , consistent and proactive. Moving to this team has made life so much easier for both of us. He is much happier and I can breathe a sigh of relief when I'm at work knowing that all his needs are being met with positive engagement. They make him laugh and he really enjoys the interaction . I can't recommend them enough. They go above and beyond. Everyone I have spoken with ( office team, carers) have always listened and responded in a positive way and always with my uncle at the front and centre. We've been using Home Instead for a little over a month, and are very impressed. The team have been so helpful and patient, and they are making an huge difference in my great aunt's quality of life. Arranging care when you've never done this kind of thing before is overwhelming, and it comes at a time when life is already very difficult and worrying for everyone involved. Everyone I have spoken to in the office has been lovely, and the care team have been superb at giving my great-aunt the dignity and independence she needs whilst making sure she is safe and supported. Very pleased with the service they provide.
