The team of Caregivers attending my Mum daily have been a breath of fresh air. Very professional courteous and warm towards the residents.
Nothing has been too much for them to do. They've assisted with laundry, putting the rubbish out, walking (mum) up and down the stairs. For me, the main thing is they were creating a community spirit within the scheme (mum lives in) which was sadly lacking.
They are well thought of by the residents (everyone) who have enjoyed having them around for their chats and assistance.

My wife and I are my relative's attorneys under lasting powers of attorneys. We have been using the services of Home Instead for nearly 18 months to care for our cousin, who lives alone. She has Alzheimer's and her short-term memory is almost non-existent. She has received top quality care from Home Instead. They visit for 3 hours each day and have been invaluable in our cousin being able to remain in her own home. They are kind, thoughtful and attentive, always putting her needs first. They are also flexible and will go the extra mile when required. I cannot recommend Home Instead highly enough.
Review submitted from a Postal Card by B A (Daughter-in-law of Client) on Thursday 15 February 2018. Relates to January 2018.
Home Instead could not provide the amount of care that we needed as the care needs increased. Our carer was fantastic but it was a shame that the carers weren't all of her calibre.

Home Instead proved to be the reliable, friendly efficient, caring help we needed.
Always with a brightness of attitude, the helper used humour and life experience to enrich my mother's now limited life routines and lack of desire to move much.
As mum recovered, Home Instead helped her be independent most of time.
Review submitted from a Website Submission by Nicole K (Daughter of Client) on Friday 2 February 2018. Relates to January 2018.
The care provided for my Father was of the highest possible quality. My family were relieved to find a local agency who understands the intricacies of supporting those with Alzheimer's. The care provided was always professional and done with the utmost respect for my Father's wellbeing and dignity. He got along well with his carers and looked forward to their frequent visits. It's done wonders to his outlook on life.

A wonderful company with the most caring, nurturing and empathetic people you could imagine. They supported my father, who had Alzheimer's, and enabled him to continue living at home which was always his greatest hope. The carers were all lovely, arrived on time, and the office staff were very accommodating at all times. Thank you all for the support and peace of mind you gave to me and my family over the past several months.

Home Instead (Wandsworth, Lambeth & Dulwich) have been helping my mother look after my father for some six months now, and we have been consistently impressed by and grateful for how well they go about their work, and the comfort and reassurance they represent for my parents. They've been both professional and personal throughout our dealings with them, and both management and staff are always responsive and reliable.
Review submitted from a Postal Card by Pauline E (Daughter of Client) on Tuesday 13 June 2017. Relates to June 2017.
Home Instead provided homecare to my mother for 4 years. During that time his needs changed as she became more unwell with dementia and physical challenges.
Home Instead visited with the family to ensure the appropriate care was provided throughout. They provided efficient and responsive administrative support but most importantly they sought to provide consistent carers who provided excellent care to my mum. I have nothing but respect for those who cared for mum with such patience and compassion.
Review submitted from a Postal Card by P I (Brother-in-law of Client) on Friday 19 May 2017. Relates to April 2017.
We needed 24-hour care for a terminal cancer patient. Six carers were assigned. All were considerate and attentive. Three were exceptional in using their initiative and solving issues as they arose with the patient's deterioration and difficulties. It was a genuine team effort and we were sufficiently satisfied to be able to return to our home outside the UK after a one week cycle.
One minor concern was referred to the supervisor and addressed satisfactorily by her and the team. The carers also made sure that a weak District Nurse finished her duties properly.
Review submitted from a Postal Card by Kathryn J (Wife of Client) on Monday 24 April 2017. Relates to April 2017.
The people caring for my husband with frontal, temporal dementia have been intelligent, knowledgeable, kind, sensitive, attentive, thorough, pleasant, fun and professional. They come four times a day for one hour each time. I had hoped for a care of a high standard and have received it. The carers are checked intermittently by management who are flexible and friendly in caring for the needs of all concerned. We have been able to keep him happier and safe in his own surroundings.

I am writing on behalf of my family to thank you and all the wonderful staff at Home Instead for all the help and support you have given me over the last years in caring for my mother. You made me feel I had made the right decision and I was confident that you would provide all the help I needed at such short notice. I will always be grateful for that telephone conversation. I would like to commend all the carers who looked after mum during those last two weeks but especially the carer with much kindness and expertise inspired me with confidence. I also highly commend mum's regular carers, who looked after her so brilliantly. They are a great credit to Home Instead. Finally, I would like to pay tribute to the lady and gentleman who man the telephones and who are always so helpful and obliging. In sincere appreciation and thanks.

We have been delighted with the services provided by Home Instead for our elderly mother and recommend them most highly. The team is highly professional flexible and trustworthy, all the factors that are crucial when organising care for our vulnerable loved ones.

Because all staff are caring and helpful.
I personally feel that I have gained more friends since I joined "Home Instead". I look forward to my care's visit and feel very happy as we enjoy each others company so much in the places we wish to visit and the topics we discuss.
My carer is very helpful and is first class in keeping my house sparkling.
What more can I require? My family and I feel that my carer is part of my family.

My meetings with my carer have always been nice, fun with good conversation, but most of all totally competent. I always feel happy and at ease after our meetings.
We have become good friends which I value very much.

The quality care given to me by your staff in care was superb. I was clearly understood and the service was thoroughly explained. My privacy was kept and confidentiality was respected. I would strongly recommend this agency to other care users.

I trust Home Instead Senior Care. My mother has had the same carers for at least 4 years and she knows their faces. When I have my 3 hours off each day I know mum is safe with the carer. I rely on them all.

We came to Home Instead when my uncle was living alone in his flat, and becoming less able to cope on his own. The carer that Home Instead provided was just the perfect person to support my uncle. Over the months, his dementia became worse and eventually, my uncle had to move from his flat into a home. The carer continued visiting my uncle on a weekly basis and this contributed greatly to his quality of life.

Can I just say that there is a lady carer who is most caring, helpful, kind and understanding carer that I have ever had experience of. The way she works with my parents is a wonder. She is really a great big part of the family now, and I have to say, I would not know what we would do without her. She is absolutely worth her weight in gold and does so much to keep my parents in the best health, understanding their needs and helping us to guide the family through the difficult diagnoses that have recently been given to both of my parents. It has been a tough time for us all, and with her being a fourth member of the family team that includes me, my sister and brother-in-law we have been able to navigate through the issues of the diagnoses and the resulting practical implications that they have created. She is more than a carer for my parents, she is a friend and confidant, and support to my parent's needs, both practical and personal. An absolute gem!

Home Instead provide and excellent service. My mum's carers take time to sit down and chat with her about things that interest her. It is very reassuring for the family to know that our mother is so well looked after.

Home Instead is very worthwhile they are punctual, they always clean up after themselves and they leave a very tidy kitchen, can't ask for anymore than that. My daughter always comments on how tidy the carers leave the kitchen.

A very good agency. I have been with them 4 years and am very satisfied indeed. They observe all the protocols and both carers and office staff are excellent. Personally outstanding, my carer is kind, caring, effective and flexible. She really meets my needs!

A real comfort to know that all aspects of my mother's well-being are considered. You almost forget that this is a commercial enterprise because care and consideration are so much at the forefront of what they do. My mother "loves them all" and I'm not surprised! Flexible in all aspects I cannot recommend them highly enough.

The carer who has cared for my 83-year-old mother following a fall in January 2015 has been kind, generous and considerate with mum. She has been cheerful and cooked her excellent food whilst providing her with excellent personal care. She has been sensitive when need be, and above all supported us all through this challenging time.
Review submitted from a Website Submission by Catrin W (Daughter of Client) on Tuesday 3 January 2017. Relates to July 2016.
From the beginning, we were impressed by Home Instead staff, who were kind, friendly and willing to work with us to ensure my father in laws care was personalised. Communicating with the office was easy and requests for changes or extra help responded to efficiently. Having a small dedicated team caring for my father in law, was just what he needed and accepting carers allowed him to live at home alone for over a year. We found Home Instead Senior Care (Wandsworth, Lambeth & Dulwich) via a new recommendation and we have no problems in recommending them to others seeking personalised care for a loved one.

When I think back to this time last year & how worried I was that I would never be able to provide adequate care for my mum at home well...I never dreamed that she could be so well cared for by such lovely people.
I really don't know how I would have coped without the wonderful support of the management Both ladies are extremely capable & always seem to do far more that I would ever expect of them. I am incredibly grateful for their kindness & compassion. The care that they provide for mum is more than I could ever hope for.
I think your branch of Home Instead Senior Care (Wandsworth, Lambeth & Dulwich) is wonderful & I'm extremely glad I found you.

My experience has been that they are both professional and caring. On vital element is that the carers remain in place over a long period without constant changes in personnel. Home Instead have provided this. Previous agencies did not.

All the carers who have coped with us/me have been absolutely fabulous - kind, caring and efficient. Particularly the one who was the main carer for my Alzheimer's husband. He became very fond of my husband and looked after him brilliantly.

My wife's carer provides companionship and affection. She is skilled in ways to occupy her and maintain her interest. The carer is professional in her attitudes, tactful in knowing when to take or relinquish control and unfailingly sympathetic. She is respected and liked by me and my adult children. The agency itself is meticulous in its dealings with me and always does what it says it will.

My carer is wonderful, he's very helpful and always brings me a paper. We have a good chat and he takes me for a walk in the garden where we chat about life and everything. We always have fun and a laugh.

The carers at Home Instead have meant the world to my parents - my father needed help with my mother's care and very reluctantly agreed for a carer. Initially, he was suspicious and upset at the intrusion into his home, but quickly realised what a difference it made to his quality of life.
Over the past three years, my parents' home-care has increased from once a day to 24-hour care. Changes & transitions were handled wonderfully smoothly by Home Instead and from the very start, their main carer has been the most delightful person you could ever have looking after your loved ones:
Each carer brings their own personality into the house and my parents’ faces light up when they see each one walk through the door. I don’t know what we would have done without all the wonderful staff from Home Instead.

I am very satisfied with Home Instead Senior Care and their carers. They are always on time and if they are going to be late, they let me know. They are polite and treat me with respect. I have had a difficult time over the last few years with my very long term friend having to go into a care home. One carer was particularly helpful when she found him on the floor after a stroke.

When at almost 93 years of age, I was stricken with a heart problem which restricted my mobility and confined me to my home. I felt mentally shattered, my home became increasingly untidy and very run down. The quality of my life was in free fall. Then, a near miracle occurred. A carer was appointed, who with the strength of her personality, her experience and her work ethic, made my home sparkle with the orderliness which only properly maintained housework can bring about, but to me, the important thing is that I have regained my zest for life and my physical appearance now reflects the joy of a life anew!

My mum was looked after by carers from Home Instead Senior Care for a period of 10 months. During this time she had three falls and broke her hip, and later her kneecap. On the final occasion the carer found mum and stayed with her until the ambulance arrived. Mum has dementia. Mum received the best possible care from the carers at all times, without them she couldn't have spent another year in her home.

To the delight of our clients, their relatives and the care community, she has demonstrated that, with quality care and support, they can continue to lead happy, fulfilled lives within the familiar environment of their own homes. To ensure that our clients feel comfortable and secure each CAREGiver is personally matched and then introduced to each other by Ann Marie
Job Title: Care Co ordinator
Since joining Home Instead, I have gained a significant amount of experience in all aspects of the care industry, especially in carer recruitment and retention. I work in Tony and Ann Marie's team as a Care Co-Ordinator, supporting Ann Marie to ensure that our clients receive the best care possible, and quality carers are recruited, reference-checked and trained to the highest standards. I make sure all our clients are well-matched with their carers so they have regular care from the same person, allowing for positive relationships to grow. The close and constant liaison with both clients and caregivers is a hugely important part of my role and this personal contact is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job.
Job Title: Director
My family have always been very involved in the care industry and I have been brought up with an appreciation of the positive effects that good care has on people’s lives. My parents between them have over 65 years’ experience running residential homes and providing support to the elderly, and I really wanted to follow in their footsteps and specialise in providing quality care to senior citizens and those with physical and learning disabilities. Having been hospitalised after an accident some years ago, I required several months of home care and it was during this period that I realised the huge effect well trained, caring, compassionate and considerate carers can have on one’s emotional wellbeing, independence and quality of life. As a result of my experience I ensure that all our CAREGivers are highly trained, compassionate individuals whose focus is on delivering quality, dependable, personalised care to every one of our clients, every single day
Job Title: Office Administrator
After ten years of working in IT Procurement, I decided on a change of career and am delighted to now be working as part of the Home Instead Senior Care Team, learning from the care experiences of Tony and Anne Marie, and using this experience to help our customers
My role is to keep all aspects of administration in order and to ensure that our policies and procedures are fully compliant with the Care Quality Commission guidelines and best practices.
I also monitor the carer’s shifts ensuring they are on time and ringing clients and their families to let them know of any changes. I work hard to make sure that our customer’s enquiries are dealt with quickly and efficiently, keeping them fully updated on any matters related to them or their loved ones at all times.
