Home Instead supported my father during his illness and then supported my mother during her dementia. Initially with visits then live in care and since mid April providing visits to her at the carehome where she now lives. Without Home Instead she could not have maintained life in her own home for so
long. It wasn't simply care, Home Instead provided her with stimulation and supported her taking part in a range of activities. When I was clearing her room after she moved I found a piece of paper on which she had written "I am so grateful to Home Instead. They have made my life worth living. XX"
Home Instead continue to provide companionship visits to assist with the transition to the care home and they have been invaluable in this process.

My wife had a serious stroke in May 2020. She is largely immobilised on her left side and also has some cognitive impairment (memory loss, heightened anxiety etc). Care arrangements provided by our local authority on her discharge from hospital soon proved insufficient and unsatisfactory so after researching
other providers on the CQC website we chose Home Instead. Very soon their service fully justified their 5-star CQC rating. Management were quick to grasp my wife's requirements and provide a highly suitable team of caregivers. They monitor the team closely, give us regular feedback opportunities, and respond promptly to any requests for adjustment or problems such as team members being delayed by transport difficulties etc. Team members are highly capable and responsive to my wife's needs and patient in dealing with her moods and have developed a strongly supportive relationship with her. We could not reasonably ask for anything more!

My wife's cousin, who is now 90 years old , has had severe Alzheimer's for nearly 10 years. Home Instead initially provided several daily care visits to her, which has progressed to 24/7 live in care over the last 3 years , and which is continuing.

We receive detailed daily online reports from

the carers, which gives us peace of mind, knowing that she is being cared for in her own home of long standing, and vitally has the care and companionship she needs ,so is content and cheerful.

Throughout this time, her individual carers and the office staff and management at Wandsworth could not have been be more kind, efficient, helpful and caring, both to my wife's cousin and to her family, which we all greatly appreciate.

Our carer is kind, caring, calm, very practical and hard working. She has a good sense of humour and I look forward to her visits she is a good listener and I am able to discuss many issues with her. My wife likes her and they have a nice easiness with each other. An excellent carer.

I would like to say a big thank you to Home Instead for all their help in allowing my dad to stay living at home for the last 2 years after mum sadly passed away. The live in carer showed great kindness and care towards dad. Always very patient, providing healthy and appetising meals, doing all the
laundry and making sure dad always looked well-kempt. Always going the extra mile and they developed a wonderful relationship. She took dad out regularly in his wheel chair to the shops, restaurants and special places he liked to visit giving him the quality of life he deserved and wanted at the age of 92. The back room office team were also fantastic. Always there 24/7, very helpful, very organised. Service with a smile - dad could not have been in better hands. Thank you Home Instead,

Since starting to use Home Instead a year ago I have been really impressed with the excellent service they offer. The carers are supportive, patient, and most importantly very kind. They really do care about the work, and it can be very demanding. The office staff are all very helpful, efficient,
and easily contacted - very good lines of communication. My 90 year old Mother's quality of life has been hugely improved from such a dreadful, chaotic time - in and out of hospital after falling over, to a calm, caring and well organised life at home.

Home Instead has provided care over many months for my husband who has advanced Alzheimer's. They were flexible in dealing with necessary changes and excellent in their care and understanding of the challenges of dementia. I couldn't have managed without their friendly support.

Home Instead have provided an amazing service at a very difficult time and have exceeded expectations at all times. I am caring for my 94 year old Mother in her home and their assistance has made this possible. Every aspect of the service has been fantastic, both the office team and the carers, communications
are clear and considerate and the carers are supportive, understanding and give my mother love and respect. The whole experience has been a revelation, that there are gentle caring people available to us to help in this journey. I cannot recommend Home Instead highly enough.

The regular carer that I have is delightful, cheerful and always willing to put my well-being first.
As a retired teacher, she has a rather special gift which is empathy. I find this very motivating and unselfish.
The office is helpful and efficient too.

I had a mobility problem when I had a leg muscular spasm for over 3 months. I was sent a carer by the local council through the 'Hospital at Home' team. After two weeks the council asked me to look for a permanent carer (which I can fund myself). My son then went online to look for one. He spent time
looking at reports of other users before contacting the manager from Home Instead. She came to see me and after the interview, she matched me with a carer. I can only say that I am very lucky with the carer matched to me. She is considerate, efficient, and cheerful while providing everything from personal care (which includes bathing and dressing) to dealing with a variety of small household tasks (e.g. loading the washing machine, tidying the kitchen and doing some small shopping). I now welcome and enjoy the company of my carer twice a week for continuous care.
I want to thank everyone at Home Instead, Senior Care, (Wandsworth).

I want to thank everyone at Home Instead Southfields for all your help and support in looking after my uncle. I have worked with several care agencies, in Sussex and in London and I think Home Instead is exceptional. You care about your clients and that is evident in everything you do, from your recruitment
process, finding the right carer for the client, the positive can-do attitude and kindness of the carers even in the most difficult circumstances and in the helpful advice and support provided by the office team.

We engaged Home Instead for my fiercely independent mother when she was in her early 90's. I was going away and wanted help to ensure that she was taking her asthma medication. By the time I came back from holiday the carer (the same carer for each visit) was helping Mum shower and dress, loading the
washing machine, doing some shopping, and tidying the kitchen. Mum enjoyed her company. They started going out for coffee and cake. As mum became frailer we gradually extended the hours until she had a team of carers coming in 3 times a day 7 days a week. The team was constant and they were all so kind and caring. Mum had dementia which progressed rapidly. She needed more support so 5 months ago we asked Home Instead to provide 24-hour "live-in" care. Two lovely carers rotated so they got to understand Mum and her needs. They did everything for her, including personal care, with care and compassion. The communication from the Home Instead team with me was always excellent.

My mum in her late 90’s started to have Home Instead, Wandsworth branch, to come into her home to give her a shower, help her dress, give her breakfast, make her bed, tidy the kitchen, and settle her down with a coffee and the morning newspaper until we could take over. This carried on for years. She
had the same team of lovely girls, who were very caring, kind and patient. She used to say “they are like part of my family”. When mum reached 100, we felt we could not leave her on her own if we were away. The same team of girls would come in and look after her and give her 24-hour care, which meant they would live with her, give her meals, sleep in her house and be a companion. They did light housework and the laundry. This carried on for a couple of years. When mum reached 102, she needed more support and once again we asked Home Instead for help. Over the last few months, mum has had 24-hr “live-care”. Home Instead are wonderful, catering for all her needs, with compassion.

I have been extremely happy with Home Instead service which has been efficient, compassionate, professional and reassuring. The team worked really positively and reactively during a difficult time, with strong communication and faultless support. From the back office to the 'on the ground' team, it's
been really great to be able to work with everyone there, even during the most challenging bits, when the sympathy and candour of the team was outstanding, really kept me going!

My family have always been very involved in the care industry and I have been brought up with an appreciation of the positive effects that good care has on people’s lives. My parents between them have over 65 years’ experience running residential homes and providing support to the elderly, and I really wanted to follow in their footsteps and specialise in providing quality care to senior citizens and those with physical and learning disabilities. Having been hospitalised after an accident some years ago, I required several months of home care and it was during this period that I realised the huge effect well trained, caring, compassionate and considerate carers can have on one’s emotional wellbeing, independence and quality of life. As a result of my experience I ensure that all our CAREGivers are highly trained, compassionate individuals whose focus is on delivering quality, dependable, personalised care to every one of our clients, every single day
