Always courteous and they start by listening. No hint of trying to sell you a service. Warm, friendly and enthusiastic staff, and a feeling that they are both aware of your circumstances and actually care about outcomes and changes as situations change over time. Pro-active at informing ahead of a change in carer (even for a single visit) and always attempting to think of the service user and their needs and potential concerns as the main focus. My elderly Mother was initially reluctant to receive help (as so many are). This reluctance lasted about 5 minutes into the first visit when all barriers were broken down with a smile, a cuppa and on this occasion a foot massage! I am unable to find a negative to add some balance to this review but would encourage anyone who would like a verbal testimonial to contact me at any time.
The company have looked after my wife for 6 months. They have been excellent in providing support and I would recommend them to other people who require support.
Thank you for looking after both of my parents for the past year and enabling us to keep them at home for much longer than we could have hoped for. We had a great team of carers who looked after them with sensitivity and understanding. I would highly recommend the team at Wandsworth to anyone needing help for their family members.
Home Instead could not provide the amount of care that we needed as the care needs increased. Our carer was fantastic but it was a shame that the carers weren't all of her calibre.
All the carers were so kind and thoughtful with my mother. They truly cared about making life good for her. The office staff were always very helpful and responded to all our questions and requests. I would definitely recommend Home Instead.
The care given to my father who was dying of cancer was absolutely excellent.
The team of carers were caring, empathetic, gentle, proactive and highly efficient. This was invaluable to my family during such a difficult time.
The team of Caregivers attending my Mum daily have been a breath of fresh air. Very professional courteous and warm towards the residents.
Nothing has been too much for them to do. They've assisted with laundry, putting the rubbish out, walking (mum) up and down the stairs. For me, the main thing is they were creating a community spirit within the scheme (mum lives in) which was sadly lacking.
They are well thought of by the residents (everyone) who have enjoyed having them around for their chats and assistance.
Always with a brightness of attitude, the helper used humour and life experience to enrich my mother's now limited life routines and lack of desire to move much.
As mum recovered, Home Instead helped her be independent most of time.
The care provided for my Father was of the highest possible quality. My family were relieved to find a local agency who understands the intricacies of supporting those with Alzheimer's. The care provided was always professional and done with the utmost respect for my Father's wellbeing and dignity. He got along well with his carers and looked forward to their frequent visits. It's done wonders to his outlook on life.
A wonderful company with the most caring, nurturing and empathetic people you could imagine. They supported my father, who had Alzheimer's, and enabled him to continue living at home which was always his greatest hope. The carers were all lovely, arrived on time, and the office staff were very accommodating at all times. Thank you all for the support and peace of mind you gave to me and my family over the past several months.
Home Instead (Wandsworth, Lambeth & Dulwich) have been helping my mother look after my father for some six months now, and we have been consistently impressed by and grateful for how well they go about their work, and the comfort and reassurance they represent for my parents. They've been both professional and personal throughout our dealings with them, and both management and staff are always responsive and reliable.
Home Instead visited with the family to ensure the appropriate care was provided throughout. They provided efficient and responsive administrative support but most importantly they sought to provide consistent carers who provided excellent care to my mum. I have nothing but respect for those who cared for mum with such patience and compassion.
We needed 24-hour care for a terminal cancer patient. Six carers were assigned. All were considerate and attentive. Three were exceptional in using their initiative and solving issues as they arose with the patient's deterioration and difficulties. It was a genuine team effort and we were sufficiently satisfied to be able to return to our home outside the UK after a one week cycle.
One minor concern was referred to the supervisor and addressed satisfactorily by her and the team. The carers also made sure that a weak District Nurse finished her duties properly.
The people caring for my husband with frontal, temporal dementia have been intelligent, knowledgeable, kind, sensitive, attentive, thorough, pleasant, fun and professional. They come four times a day for one hour each time. I had hoped for a care of a high standard and have received it. The carers are checked intermittently by management who are flexible and friendly in caring for the needs of all concerned. We have been able to keep him happier and safe in his own surroundings.
I am writing on behalf of my family to thank you and all the wonderful staff at Home Instead for all the help and support you have given me over the last years in caring for my mother. You made me feel I had made the right decision and I was confident that you would provide all the help I needed at such short notice. I will always be grateful for that telephone conversation. I would like to commend all the carers who looked after mum during those last two weeks but especially the carer with much kindness and expertise inspired me with confidence. I also highly commend mum's regular carers, who looked after her so brilliantly. They are a great credit to Home Instead. Finally, I would like to pay tribute to the lady and gentleman who man the telephones and who are always so helpful and obliging. In sincere appreciation and thanks.
Home Instead carers have helped brighten up our mothers days with enjoyable companionship as well as attending to her general well being.
I personally feel that I have gained more friends since I joined "Home Instead". I look forward to my care's visit and feel very happy as we enjoy each others company so much in the places we wish to visit and the topics we discuss.
My carer is very helpful and is first class in keeping my house sparkling.
What more can I require? My family and I feel that my carer is part of my family.
The quality care given to me by your staff in care was superb. I was clearly understood and the service was thoroughly explained. My privacy was kept and confidentiality was respected. I would strongly recommend this agency to other care users.
I trust Home Instead Senior Care. My mother has had the same carers for at least 4 years and she knows their faces. When I have my 3 hours off each day I know mum is safe with the carer. I rely on them all.
We have become good friends which I value very much.

Meet the Team (9)
My family have always been very involved in the care industry and I have been brought up with an appreciation of the positive effects that good care has on people’s lives. My parents between them have over 65 years’ experience running residential homes and providing support to the elderly, and I really wanted to follow in their footsteps and specialise in providing quality care to senior citizens and those with physical and learning disabilities. Having been hospitalised after an accident some years ago, I required several months of home care and it was during this period that I realised the huge effect well trained, caring, compassionate and considerate carers can have on one’s emotional wellbeing, independence and quality of life. As a result of my experience I ensure that all our CAREGivers are highly trained, compassionate individuals whose focus is on delivering quality, dependable, personalised care to every one of our clients, every single day
