The best thing was being able to read the carers notes and keeping updated on how things were going. All round excellent care, and a highly recommend care company.

Very poor communication-emails not replied to & the app is one way communication from the carer, would be better if could be added to by the client/family. Gerry was very friendly on the initial visit but follwing my Dad being admitted to hospital long term her lack of response to my email cancelling the carers was downright rude i was just blocked from using the app- no acknowledgement at all or concern for my Dads health.When i previously emailed the reply was blunt & i had to request receipt of the email to check it had been received. The carers that visited my Dad were lovely & tried to what we requested -some tasks were not completed due to my Dad refusing but we were assured they would be eventually.

An excellent professional service, to assist my friend who had become weak and unfit after a prolonged hospital Stea. He was taken on daily walks, and very quickly recovered his Fitness and well-being improved tremendously. He very much enjoyed the intelligent conversation of the team during these walks.

From my first call to Home Instead, Huddersfield, they were friendly and professional and after a visit to meet me and mum they soon recruited a team of carers to meet her needs. The care professionals quickly formed warm yet professional relationships with mum and were kind, skilled and supportive during their visits. We knew we were in safe hands. Mum's needs changed very rapidly from the beginning of March, when Home Instead started providing her care, until her death in May. During that time the managers were incredibly responsive to her needs, and to mine, and the changes that needed to be made, were done so efficiently and effectively. The team of care professionals who looked after mum during this time were equally impressive and I was very glad that it was them who cared for mum in her final days. Mum died at home in her own bed which is what she wanted. I feel sure this would not have been possible without the excellent care and support we received from Home Instead.

My dad attends the Companionship Cafe organised by Home Instead, It happens monthly, and dad loves it. I went with him in April as I was visiting, and I was so impressed with the location, the staff, the refreshments, and the entertainment. Dad comments every time how much he enjoys it, and it's lovely that there is something different every time.

I'm really pleased that dad can get out of the house and go somewhere safe and entertaining.

I met my mum's carer Gina this week whilst I'm looking after my mum. Gina has been great with my mum- she is really hardworking and very attentive to my mum's needs. It's lovely to see that my mum is already fond of her and great to hear my mum laugh when she is with her. It's really reassuring to know my mum is in a safe pair of hands. Thank you

We couldn't be happier with the care that we have received since moving to Home Instead Bradford & West Leeds. From the minute we contacted them and went through our requirements it was very obvious that they were going to be totally different to what we had been receiving elsewhere. The management team have been brilliant, and so have the carers. A great relationship has been built up already and adapting the visits as requirements have changed has been seamless. The Home Instead team have been kind and caring and full of support for my Dad. Change is difficult for him, but both the fabulous carer and the support/leadership team have gone the extra mile to help Dad and have kept in close contact with me. As I am not living locally, the whole team have stepped in to provide companionship and support in between the visits that we can make, allowing him to remain safely in his own home.

I have been a client of Home Instead for three years now. I experienced a bleed on the brain ten years ago which resulted in an inability to use my left arm and hand as well as limited mobility. Consequently, I require assistance with washing, dressing, preparing food and taking medication. I have been very happy with the service provided by Home Instead which put together a detailed and flexible care plan which is constantly updated to adapt to any changing circumstances, and which is sensitive to both my dignity and needs. They provided me with a regular carer who is highly skilled and who has always treated me, despite my ever changing moods with respect, humour, and understanding. When she takes her holidays, Home Instead have always ensured that I meet her substitute beforehand in order to reduce any potential anxiety. The company also responds very quickly to any queries and concerns. I therefore have no hesitation in recommending this highly professional care service to others.

From the very beginning I knew I could trust Gerry and the team to look after mum. They visit mum every day and communicate with me via the app to share updates about the care visits. I know the carers to be a blend of professionalism, kindness and common sense. They understand mum's needs, respect her, and step in when there's a crisis. Every time I've needed to ask a question, share concerns or ask for support, Gerry and Sally have been there on the end of the phone. They were able to match mum with carers that are most suited to her disposition. With the app it is reassuring to see how mum is each day, if she's eaten and how her mood is. I've met most of the staff and all of them have been very patient and kind. This means if I go away for a few days I can relax knowing they will be there, and also keep me informed if needed. I have nothing but praise for the team and have total confidence in them. Thank you for everything you do!!!

A flexible, caring team! Home Instead quickly increased visits to my mum after a stay in hospital. The care professionals often went above and beyond the care plan to deal with arising needs. The care professionals always made sure she was reassured as well as providing care. Excellent!

Home Instead has cared for Mum for over 2 years in a morning and evening visit. It was our first experience of recruiting an agency and we were anxious to get it right. We wanted regular, female carers: We got them. We wanted to be kept well informed: not only does the app give us a detailed report about each visit but we also got calls from the carers if there were immediate concerns about Mum. We were very hands on with requests and instructions and all carers responded really well to this. All carers have been empathetic, friendly and thoughtful. The only negative is Home Instead charges are quite steep which is why we have to switch but we would stay with them if we could.

My elderly father started his care journey January this year. I still provide the majority of care but now I am able to have a break and feel supported, we work in partnership, I have peace of mind and know he is in good hands when I am not there. I can't recommend Home Instead enough. I had phoned other providers but I didn't feel they were as interested or helpful and they didn't seem as able to provide the same small group of carers, which is important in relationship building. Everything from the holistic initial assessment to the care visits and review appointment to check all needs are met / there are any new or emerging needs that need planning for, has been outstanding. My father was hesitant to receiving home care, at first, but now he looks forward to the home visits, so much so that we have increased them. He loves choosing his meal at tea time and a cuppa and a chat. Home Instead really do care and provide high quality individualised care.
