Overall Experience

They took amazing care of my grandmother. She was very comfortable with her caretaker. Great manager and so easy to communicate with. Always willing to help and answer questions. I could not think of a better option.

Overall Experience

From my first contact via email with Home Instead, they responded quickly with full details of costs and what they offer. An appointment was made with Grace and she met with me and my dad to discuss his needs and explained their whole service and process of setting up a care package. Grace is professional

and friendly and put my dad at ease.
Carers come into dad's home twice a week currently and support with cleaning, making sure he is up and has eaten, and talking to him. He has found this especially helpful on mornings when he is struggling to start the day and possibly also feeling low. The carers he has met to date have been kind, caring and he appreciates the time they spend with him talking about the love of his life, his late wife. I find the app very useful as I can see how his morning has been and what the carers have done that day. The whole service provided by Home Instead is excellent and has helped me support dad with his Alzheimers and day to day living in his own home.

I found the care provided was very efficient, caring and understanding of my husband needs. The person who cared for my husband was lovely very helpful and my husband enjoyed been looked after by her. I would certainly use Homecare again, and would recommend the service

Overall Experience

My mother has vascular dementia.
She has good days and bad days. On a bad day, she will ask you the same question every 30 seconds but with the help of Home Instead, I've managed to keep her in her own home until the ripe old age of 94 when she is now in need of 24 hour nursing care.
Chelsea and

her team have given us a first class service which has facilitated this to happen over the last 9 years.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank them and say I can highly recommend their services to anybody in a similar situation.

Overall Experience

Used Home Instead for the first time to look after my husband with Parkinson's and dementia. Had tried 3 different care homes previously, for respite, which didn't work for him. Our carer was superb and our overall experience was outstanding. Without a doubt, I'll use them again. From the first

phone call to the office, the initial assessment and introduction to the potential carer, all went so well and was dealt with professionally, empathetically and with real understanding. Everyone showed sincere care and knowledge of our situation.
I was concerned on my return ( having experienced how my husband had found the homes he'd been in ) how I would find him. However, he was happy and in a far better place both physically and psychologically. He had really enjoyed having our lovely carer around. She'd been excellent company, engaged him in activities, dealt with him in a sensitive manner and kept him so well looked after. I was thrilled ! My home was clean & neat too !

Overall Experience

I am one of three daughters caring for our mother who has dementia, it got to the point where we needed help if she was to stay in her own house where she is happiest, but we were concerned she wouldn't like strangers coming into her home.
It was the best thing we did contacting home instead and it's

worked out so much better than we could of ever imagined, they don't just turn up and do the basics, they are so kind and patient with her they are genuinely interested in her and her needs and she actually looks forward to them coming.
I cannot praise them highly enough

Overall Experience

Mum received home care a couple of hours a day for six months from Home instead, before moving out of the area.
The staff were always so lovely & treated her with dignity & respect. During the months they cared for her many of them became good friends. Not living nearby made choosing the right care

company so crucial for me. The app provided me with the confidence I needed, enabling me to check daily she was getting the support she needed & she was well.
The office support staff were responsive & compassionate as well as going out of their way to help, particularly in the last few weeks when moving dates kept changing.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Home Instead to anyone needing home care for a loved one.

Overall Experience

I am very happy to say that the carers who look after me are very, very good. They do my light household jobs because I cannot manage household chores anymore. Nothing is too much trouble, so I couldn't manage without help.

Our first care company supplied many different carers of various abilities, so when the radio advertised care for dementia sufferers, as my wife changed. The change to having 3 primary carers working to set routines improved care dramatically.
You supply care professionals who really care, work to

sound duties, using gentle persuasion, with patience and some style.

Overall Experience

My Mum broke her hip 3 years ago and went downhill form there. Eventually diagnosed with dementia we found she needed help at home. Especially with dressing and getting ready for bed and catheter care.
Home Instead visited twice a day and the care my Mum received from their bank of carers was professional

and caring.
Later we added a 2 hour companion visit where the carer took Mum out to parks, cafes, shops etc. Mum really enjoyed these visits.
When Mum had problems her team of carers dealt with them and kept us informed
As a family we found the apps daily reports brilliant as we knew what sort of day Mum was having and when she needed our additional support.
Mum has now had to go to a Care Home but I know she was very grateful for the support Home Instead gave her and we as a family very much appreciated the support of Home Instead provided and would highly recommend them

Overall Experience

The entire team at Home Instead Ilkley have been utterly amazing in their response this week, to support Mum (88, with dementia), who was discharged (unsafely) by the local NHS hospital after emergency hip surgery. I raised an enquiry for homecare at 7a.m on a Monday morning, a lady called me back at

11.15a.m and could have come out to assess on the Wednesday, which I put back to Friday morning after it became clear Mum would not be discharged until the following Monday. They immediately put in place 4 calls a day and then within 24 hours, also put in place overnight waking nights, as Mum was terribly disturbed and unsettled.
Being over 200 miles away they have been incredibly responsive, attentive, and assuring and, in a two-care homecare system, I have to say that you get what you pay for, if you have, or choose, to pay.

Home Instead have provided companionship services to my Wife, who has Alzheimer's, for over two years. The service has been dependable and the team are friendly and caring. They have coped well with the progression of the disease and my Wife has benefited from the time spent with the Carers. Home

Overall Experience

From our first contact, on a January Sunday, when we needed to set up urgent care for my 98 year old Father, Home Instead have provided a thoroughly efficient, responsive, sensitive and supportive service at every level.
My Father had been reluctant to accept support at home, but in 6 months of getting

to know the friendly and supportive team around him, now admits that he couldn't manage without them. Not only do the Care Pros look after his daily physical needs, but, with family at a distance, they provide valuable and friendly social contact and Dad enjoys chatting and joking with them. The App notes for every visit ensure I get an accurate picture of how Dad is feeling every day as well as knowing that all his needs are being met. We have been especially impressed with Home Instead's professional and responsive guidance and support around a number of emergency hospital admissions. I would recommend to anyone looking for care at home for an elderly relative. Excellent!
