Mum and Dad were receiving care from Home Instead off and on from early 2023 to October 2025. Everyone in the team was professional and caring. The Carers were always punctual and reliable and they really seemed to care about my parents. Nothing was too much trouble. If I needed to speak to anyone in
the office about anything it was easy to do. The team there were also extremely helpful. If I needed to increase hours from time to time it was always easy to arrange and straightforward.
I can thoroughly recommend Home Instead and I'm so grateful to them for their support with both my parents.

I am extremely happy with the level of service. They got everything set up really quickly for my mother, and it gives me great peace of mind.
My mother's quality of life has improved with their support. Would happily recommend.

Until recently, Mum was pretty independent and only had a couple of visits a week. After a back injury she has needed much more personal care.
Previously, I would have described their service as good, but not necessarily special. But since Mum's accident, I have been so impressed with the whole
team, how they geared up so quickly and efficiently to ensure she could remain in her own home and the level of service and care has really been outstanding.
Reply from Helen Brown, Franchise Owner at Home Instead (Portsmouth)Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such thoughtful feedback.
We're really pleased that, during what must have been a worrying time following your Mum's injury, you felt supported by the whole team and saw how quickly everyone responded to her changing needs. Being able to adapt around our clients and help them remain safely and comfortably in their own homes is something we care deeply about.
When we first began visiting, your Mum valued her independence and our support was intentionally light-touch. Even in those early stages, our focus is always on building trust and providing reassurance in a way that feels respectful and empowering.
It means a great deal to hear that the level of care has felt outstanding. I'll be sure to share your comments with the team - they will truly appreciate them.

After an 18 month battle with cancer, my father deteriorated very quickly just after Christmas and after a short stay in hospital it was clear he was going to need some assistance at home. The team quickly jumped into action and came to visit us the morning after I had got him home. During that day
it became apparent that the sort of care I had initially reached out about wasn't going to enough and the team were able to completely adapt and provide us with excellent urgent palliative care the following day. My father very sadly passed away peacefully at home a day later but having the home instead team on rotation during the day and all through the night gave us peace of mind and comfort. It gave us the space as his family to be able to just sit with him and spend time with him in his final days knowing there was a professional on hand to help with any more functional care needs. I couldn't recommend the team enough - so competent at what they do but also incredibly kind.
Reply from Bob Nicholson, Owner at Home Instead (Basingstoke)Thank you Emma, your kind words are very much appreciated. We were so sorry that your father did not have longer at home, but we're pleased to have been able to provide him with support over that brief period.

My review is in the context of being a new, relatively light customer of Home Care provider services.
My father has 2 visits a week from one care professional. She has been a positive presence on every visit, engaging him in conversation and getting him to exercise a bit more - he has responded very
well. She is always willing to step outside her immediate brief and eg engage with my mother as well, or help with a delivery at the door.
Set up was easy (I'm the bill payer / adminstrator), though a lot of pages of paperwork as it covers all types of services.
There is an app where the carer shares feedback on every visits which is helpful.

The Home Instead carers have been wonderful for my father in the last 4 months . Although I speak to him everyday it's lovely to know that the carers are going in for an hour twice a day .He loves company and to know that someone is seeing him twice a day is such a help to me . If there is a problem
they always contact me ( usually if he is out !) and it. Is all very reassuring . He went into a home for a month for some rehab but was very keen to return home and Home Instead has enabled him to do this . Thank you .

We as a family, have found this service to be an effective alternative to a care home. It means that our relative can continue to live independently whilst being supported with various areas of her life, such as meals, washing, some cleaning, medication and socialising. The staff have effectively managed
her needs and are skilled at negotiating with and supporting her.

My Mum has been using Homeinstead for 5 years and they have been excellent. Sadly she has had to stop using them because of reaching the threshold of paying for her care.
The care and companionship they provide is wonderful and my Mum had about 5/ 6 regular carer's that built a close relationship
with her. Homeinstead are very good as well at communicating any problems around the house that needed attention too.
I would thoroughly recommend Homeinstead to friends/ family.

All seems to be well, the app is always positive and Colin appears to be happy with the visits.
Help is at hand when I need to phone the office which reassures me .
The carers are informed of any requests I ask from the office so that is helpful.

Experience has generally been good, apart from choosing a carer who was my next door neighbour for a short period. I've had about four regular carers of whom three have been very good. Apart from varying skills, the ability to provide intelligent conversation is important - more important than an impeccably
made bed. My worst bugbear is the office changing the day of the week that a carer comes without much notice. One has to do the washing before the carer can do the ironing rather than after.

The care provided by Home Insted is exemplary apart from the change of carers for a specific day!
They did try to introduce me to new carers as they did for the first one but the replacement was not as good!

We couldn't be happier with the care that Home Instead provides for our 95-year-old dad, who lives alone and has dementia. The carers are absolutely wonderful - gentle, patient, and genuinely caring. They visit every day and take the time to ensure Dad is comfortable, safe, and able to stay living independently
in spite of his health issues.
The team is proactive and observant, often picking up on small things that my brother and I (who live far away) can then follow up on. It's such a comfort knowing that Dad is in good hands. Communication is excellent - the manager is always responsive by email and follows through on everything promptly.
Home Instead has made a huge difference for Dad and for us as a family. We're truly grateful for their professionalism, compassion, and consistency. Highly recommended!

So happy with this company. The carers are very friendly and my brother is well looked after by them. If I have any concerns I contact the office and speak with caring people who know who my brother is and not just a person on their books. Also appreciate the fact if they have any concerns they contact
me. Would definitely recommend this company for their care and compassion. Anything I'm concerned about they put right and have Len's best interest at heart

For roughly 4 years we used Home Instead Farnborough for my mother's care. Having had a few falls I had to put her in a respite home while I arranged for her house to be fitted with hand rails etc.. Fortunately, when it was time to move her back home I hit the jackpot with Home Instead and their carers.
From
initial 2 visits a day, then 3 and finally 4 they were absolute stars with no missed visits whatsoever. My mother, my sister and I were very impressed and the regular carers pretty much became my mother's friends and she looked forward to her visits.
At the end of March this year my mother had a nasty fall in the evening and had activated her falls alarm. I was about an hours drive away but one of the office staff drove over to assist. Sadly my mother ended up in hospital, never to return home. The carers still visited her around lunchtime each day until she passed away.
They always brought a smile to my mother's face and I cannot thank the carers and the office staff enough.
Reply from Lauren Fridge, Business Development Manager at Home Instead (Farnborough, Farnham & Fleet)Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt review. It means the world to our whole team to know that we were able to make a difference to your mother's life and provide reassurance to you and your sister over the years. Our Care Professionals and office team truly cared for her and often spoke fondly of their visits - it was a privilege to support her at home and later in hospital. We're so sorry for your loss, but it brought us comfort to be able to say our goodbye's at her service. We are deeply grateful for your kind words. I'll make sure your message is shared with everyone involved in your mother's care, as it will mean a great deal to them too. With warmest regards Lauren

Home Instead, Basingstoke, was completely professional from my first contact with them. They arranged my visits very quickly and I was able to tailor the help to my needs. The staff who have been providing my care have been efficient, friendly and extremely hard-working. They have made a tremendous
difference to my life when I was experiencing great difficulties in completing even simple tasks. I would thoroughly recommend them.
Reply from Bob Nicholson, Owner at Home Instead (Basingstoke)Val, thank you for your lovely review. It was a great pleasure supporting you through your recovery and I will pass your kind words on to the rest of the team.
