My father had dementia. He moved to the area 2 and a half years ago and we began with a low level of support initially. His care requirements increased as his dementia took hold - Home Instead were excellent at discussing with me his changing needs over time. By the time he moved into residential care Home Instead were visiting twice a day every day of the week, ensuring he was fed, showered, had company and trips out. I was hugely grateful for the care taken with my father. We have subsequently recommended Home Instead to friends who have found themselves to be in a similar position.

When my dad came out of hospital, Home Instead supported me in a world I did not know. They set up service quickly and supported my dads transition home. Thank you to all the lovely carers that made my dad's time more manageable.

Home Instead provided a vital service for my ailing mother until she died in August. The management team was extremely flexible and I was reassured that care visits could be could altered and/or increased as required. We moved from one daily visit to two, then three, then a carer staying overnight, every night. We were not let down once. All the carers were kind, thoughtful and helpful, calling me if at all concerned. They gave Mum as much dignity as possible as she went downhill. Every visit was recorded online so that we all knew what had happened. My mother and I became very fond of them and I know they were very fond of my mother, which was touching. They are really good people and completely trustworthy. Our combined efforts allowed Mum to stay at home and she died peacefully in her sleep. I thoroughly recommend Home Instead.

There are cheaper service providers out there, but when the care of an elderly and vulnerable person is being trusted to strangers, you want to be sure that you are getting the best service possible. I am happy to say that we got that and I would definitely recommend Home Instead

Home Instead were perfect for my mum and dad, and then just for dad when we lost mum. They helped him so much through the first weeks of his grieving process as they weren't just dad's carers, they become his friends and he so looked forward to seeing them. His physical care was brilliant and the carers and management always went above and beyond with relating issues to the doctors etc. We cannot recommend them enough.

After initial reluctance to accept that care was needed, Dad soon settled and accepted the visits from his team, having some laughs along the way. All carers showed Dad kindness and dignity, which is everything I wished for him. Management liased well with me to smooth out the occasional problems .

The live in carer that I had for nine days after a hip replacement was excellent. She was very kind and supportive. Nothing was too much trouble. She has enabled me to manage without support as I continue my recovery.

I was recommended Home Instead by a friend. My dad has now been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. My sister and I needed the reassurance that dad was up, dressed and had eaten breakfast and now he has care twice a day at tea time, this was started almost instantly. My wife has dementia and is unable to make herself understood. After a period in hospital she was brought home with a care plan requiring 3, hourly visits by 2 carers each day. This had to be arranged at short notice but the company stepped up admirably. I cannot fault the care my wife has received from every member of the team from the team leader down. I think it is recognised that our funds are limited and every effort is made to ensure that costs are kept to a minimum. I have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead to anyone in the unfortunate position of requiring care as I am confident they will receive excellent, empathetic treatment from all staff involved.

I couldn't recommend home instead enough. My grandmother was diagnosed with vascular dementia Alzheimer's however wanted to stay in her home and remain independent. With the support from the team we were able to fulfill her wishes. The whole team from admin to carers were kind, supportive and patient. Nothing was ever too much trouble and always kept us up to date and raised concerns if they needed to. We wanted to send a huge thank you to each and every one of you who have played a part in her care. We are very sad not to have you around now she has gone into a care home for round the clock care.

We've been using Home Instead for a little over a month, and are very impressed. The team have been so helpful and patient, and they are making an huge difference in my great aunt's quality of life. Arranging care when you've never done this kind of thing before is overwhelming, and it comes at a time when life is already very difficult and worrying for everyone involved. Everyone I have spoken to in the office has been lovely, and the care team have been superb at giving my great-aunt the dignity and independence she needs whilst making sure she is safe and supported.
