Overall Experience

We have recently started using Home Instead Ivybridge to help care for our 92 year old mother living alone many miles away from the rest of the family.From the first we were impressed by the understanding and empathy expressed by the Director, Manager, and other administrative staff. The visiting carers

have been wonderfully supportive,kind,helpful,calm and considerate.
The whole team responded immediately and professionally to a subsequent fall our mother had at home by providing seamless cover and support throughout including taking her to A&E,staying with her there for many hours wait for tests and to see a Dr and then returning her safely home ensuring she was settled for the night. We felt as reassured and confident of their care as if we ourselves had been with her. They provided immense relief in a very stressful situation and we cannot thank them enough.

Overall Experience

My Sister and I have been delighted with our choice of using Homestead At Tavistock to look after our Dad a widower who his wish was to live out his life at home. As we lived away Homestead provided a solution.
The team at Homestead were a deliight to work with, very professional but also very friendly,

helpful and would always find time to have conversations with Dad.
Dad at first, like a lot of people he was reluctant to have help, but he quickly came round and enjoyed the carers company. We will forever be grateful to the team at
Homestead, it was an absolute pleasure to work with such lovely people.

Overall Experience

I contacted Home Instead after failing to find any convenient residential respite care options for my mother who lives with us. She is adamant that we should not restrict our lives as her support needs increase.
I was impressed with this service from the start - web site, initial contact, Rachel's

care assessment consultation in our home also taking in mum's life history and interests, the free return visit to introduce the selected carers so mum would know them before they attended and choice of suitable times for a care visit, and the app that allows me to log in and check the care record for each visit (with mum's consent). This whole process has been very reassuring for both mum and I. The recent care visits during a short trip away went well and mum was very happy with her carers. We've already booked again for a future planned holiday.
Home Instead deserve their Outstanding CQC assessment result. I highly recommend their very holistic and personalised services.

Overall Experience

Absolute excellent 5 star service, friendly, kind and always with a smile. My mum was a little nervous before we engaged Home Instead, but they have proved to be outstanding and Mum looks forward to their visits, as they have time to have a chat as well as showering/washing Mum. I would highly recommend

them to anyone thinking about getting some extra help for their loved ones.

Overall Experience

Home Instead North Devon & Exmoor has supported our mother (93 years) in her home since September 2023.
As a family we're impressed by the consistently high quality of care our mother receives from all professionals in her care team. The overall standard of care, (personal care or housework), is excellent,

and the care team include new tasks as we identify them, reliably carrying out whatever jobs need to be done to keep our mother safe in her home.
Since my last review in 2023, our mother has more regular support from her small care team, all of whom she has grown fond of, & all of whom show her kindness and respect when they visit.
This is the most important thing for us too, knowing any carer visiting on any given day will treat our mother with kindness and respect.
All office staff, everyone I speak to or correspond with is professional & supportive, always willing to help out at short notice. We're grateful to all at Home Instead ND&Exmoor, we 100% recommend the service.

Mum had decided not to come on an extended family holiday with us. She is 92 and rightly decided flying would be too much for her. Me and my two siblings were worried about leaving her for a week with no visitors (she still lives alone) so decided to get a carer from Home Instead to come and visit for

an hour each day when we were away. The three different carers scheduled to come in were all personally introduced to Mum beforehand and thoroughly briefed. I think Mum really enjoyed having them come round each day. They were very flexible and were there to assist with anything Mum wanted them to do or just to chat! I would 100% recommend Home Instead to anyone wanting temporary care and if the time comes for Mum to need full time care we will certainly be using them.

We started having carers in January of this year. They have totally changed our lives. My husband looks forward to his carers coming. He is always meticulously looked after. They have encouraged him to attend clubs and days out giving him a new lease on life. They are always happy and cheerful

and nothing is too much trouble. They also help me in the house. I honestly do not know what we would fo without them. Thank you so so much

Overall Experience

Great carers and back office. The company provides an excellent service which adapts to a person's changing needs. The carers are considerate, kind, good humoured and reliable. Perhaps there could have been more of a proactive overview as it is hard to understand the subtleties of a person's needs

amongst multiple carers. Overall I would thoroughly recommend the company and am deeply appreciative of their care for my mum.

I cannot praise homeinstead highly enough.The staff and the service my husband has had has been amazing.I would definitely recommend the company should anyone ask me.
About three months ago my husband was only requiring three visits a week for personnel care,but unfortunately now his needs are more

which means we could not continue with the company.

Overall Experience

I find the service provided by the care professionals to be excellent. They turn up on time and are kind, supportive and friendly.
I also find the office staff supportive and are helpful, and react to any requests positively.

Whilst this is not a service we particularly wanted it is necessary. The people who come provide a positive helpful and friendly service. We like the fact the same people attend as part of a small team. When there have been unexpected changes due to sickness we have been notified in advance.

I look forward to my Wednesdays 2 hours having a lovely long soak in the bath. I am treated with dignity and respect and feel so comfortable with my lovely ladies. Usually we find something to laugh about and are always keen to help me if I have a problem. I do recommend Home Instead as in no way can

Overall Experience

Mum was able to continue to live at home for those extra few months with the help of Home Instead. I cannot fault the care and compassion showed by everyone from the admin staff to the visiting carers. They were professional in their approach and when mum was not at home on a couple of occasions they

made every effort to ensure she was safe and well. Mum thoroughly enjoyed her visits and we will always be grateful for the help Home Instead provided.
