from the first telephone call, through to the initial introduction visit and all care visits since then, I have been impressed with the professionalism and compassion everyone has shown my Mum.
Mum has 3 visits a week, each lasting an hour. She has the same carers every week which is so important for her continuity of care and they all try to encourage her to partake in activities she used to enjoy. Despite Mum's sometimes reluctance to engage, they encourage her with care and empathy and soon have her chatting about her family and days gone by.
They are an excellent company and I would highly recommend them.

All team members are introduced to their clients by another team member before doing a solo visit. Home Instead always keeps me informed of any issues that might crop up when visiting my parents-in-law and they are happy for me to keep in touch with them too. We are then able to address any possible problems together. If there are any alterations to the schedule, due to circumstances beyond their control, my parents-in-law always receive a telephone call to update them of the problem. The carers were amazing and it put my mind at ease knowing that someone was visiting and making sure Mum was okay. If I had any queries I felt able to ring them for a chat and they had the time to talk to me and support me in any way they could. The carers, helped my mother get up from bed in the morning, they bathed and dressed her and provided/cooked meals. They did shopping, got her ready for bed and provided companionship when she needed it most.
The carer's professionalism and kindness shown to my mother gave me peace of mind knowing that when they were there she was being well looked after.

good that she sees the same people and has built up a relationship with them. They have been proactive in helping her organise medical appointments and dealing with admin, as well as providing companionship and taking care of domestic duties. Thank you also for helping organise respite care - it wouldn’t have happened without the Manager and her team going the extra mile and dealing with so many processes and date changes. I hope she enjoys her a few weeks away but I think she will miss seeing her ladies. She has definitely changed from someone who was initially very reluctant to engage with receiving care at home, to really valuing your services.
