All the Homeinstead team do their upmost to ensure my elderly mother receives the best care possible with kindness and empathy, I am always involved in any changes and decision making regarding my mother's care and we are both treated with understanding and respect. This company is the best.

Overall Experience

Carers are all friendly and generally come around their scheduled time of arrival. They carry out the tasks included on their schedule and they also enquire if they can do anything else before leaving.

Overall Experience

Home Instead is the 2nd care agency that I have used for my husband, so I feel that I can compare agencies. Yes, Home Instead is more expensive, but I have found that everything is much more efficient (office), conscientious, caring, and reliable (carer). When my husband is with his carer, I do not

have to worry, I know that he is in safe, caring hands.
Our carer helps us in so many ways as we travel along this most difficult of our journeys. He is a godsend.

Overall Experience

Mum had spent over 3 weeks in hospital and on discharge home was quite weak and her confusion, due to dementia, seemed to have progressed. She needed a slower pace to process speech, along with patience and encouragement from those caring for her to get through the day. I found this quite difficult

to cope with, but the carers from Homeinstead took this in their stride with their usual caring professionalism. It soon became apparent that mum needed an evening visit to help her get ready for bed. This was swiftly put in place by Homeinstead at an agreed time and after a short time mum got used to, and now enjoys, these evening visits. The increase in visits also gives me a greater peace of mind and the hope that we can keep mum living at home, which is her dearest wish. The Carer's log of visits is such a a useful tool as I can instantly get an idea of how mum is after each visit and if there is anything required from me. Both mum and I feel fully supported by Homeinstead.

Overall Experience

Over the last week, we've had to call in Home Instead to give us extra service due to unexpected illness to my stepmother, also my dad's primary caregiver. Everyone I've interacted with has been responsive, proactive and most importantly, treated my father with the affection and care he deserves. At

what has been a difficult time, Sue, Maxine, Carlene and Chris have fully stepped up. Thank you so much for keeping my dad safe.

Overall Experience

We used Home Instead to help with my mum who has been struggling with mobility and mental health. I found all the carers to be amazing. Always helpful, offering assistance with anything and everything. They were very patient with my mum who can be difficult! They demonstrated real professional pride

and were proactive in taking on tasks without being asked.
Thank you to all the team! Sadly my mum is now in a care home after a fall but should her health improve and she comes back to her address then I would definitely use Home Instead

First of all the communication channels are excellent.
Management, administrative and care staff are willing to discuss any situation and act on it.
From our experience they follow this ethos through to dealing with the GP and organisations such as Hospital at Home.
They are prepared to listen to

suggestions regarding the care schedule which can benefit both Home Instead and the client.

Overall Experience

Home Instead were recommended to us over a year ago and we have been using their services ever since. Initially, Mum was not interested in receiving regular visits from people she viewed as 'strangers', however we were keen for here to receive regular visits to fill in when my sisters and I were unable

to visit. Circumstances prevailed which enabled us to introduce 2 visits a week by Home Instead and we recently increased this to 3 visits. Mum's attitude has totally changed over this period and she really enjoys their companionship. The service Home Instead provide is excellent as are the staff who visit, communication is brilliant either via the app or dropping into their office for a quick chat. I would highly recommend their services.

Home Instead have provided safe and supportive care to my mother this has enabled her to remain in her own home. she is helped in the shower and to dress, she values the social interaction with the carers, they listen to her changing needs regarding her pain due to osteoporosis and adapt their care

Excellent service and exemplary care - Can't praise the Home Instead team enough. They have taken excellent care of our Dad over the last year, dealing with interruptions caused by hospital stays and stepping up for extra care when needed. I don't think I can add much more than has already been said. My father was very reluctant client to start with. However the team have worked hard to build trust with my father and have made massive gains. Which has resulted with my father gaining the care he needs.
There has been great communication

and the team have reacted quickly to any little situations that have arisen.
I feel I have been very lucky in finding Home Instead, they have given me the reassurance I needed, as I work away a lot and knowing they are there has taken the pressure off of me.

Excellent service - every staff member I came into contact with was highly professional and very caring. My mum has a range of needs, and before she had to finally go into a care home, she had two years of care with Home Instead and they were incredible. My mun formed really lovely and meaningful friendships

with many of her carers, who without exception would go the extra mile for her. It gave me great peace of mind to know she was so well and reliably looked after.
I can say with some confidence how just good Home Instead are because I am able to compare them to the previous eight years of care with other providers in the local area, some of whom were okay - but all were unreliable (and sometimes they wouldn't turn up at all). Not a problem with Home Instead, who provided well over 1000 hours of care for us without fault.
So yes, you can get cheaper care providers, but you can't get better.

I would like to put in writing my sincere thanks to Cindy and Hayley for all the care and attention they gave me over the past few months while I was unwell. They both carried out any tasks I needed help with willingly and thoroughly..
Hayley was always kind and efficient. Cindy went the 'extra

mile'. She was never judgemental and encouraged me to believe in myself again and helped me regain my confidence.
The staff in the Home Instead office always dealt quickly and efficiently with any of our queries.

Overall Experience

Home Instead have been first class in helping us to care for my step-mum. As we live a long way away the daily reports about each care visit give us a huge amount of comfort. It is clear that my step-mum is really enjoying her visits and her trips out. Everyone is mindful of how she is feeling on the

day and able to adjust her routines accordingly. Home Instead have also been able to step in at short notice for emergency dental treatment when we were unable to get down in time. We could not have asked for more. The carers have enabled my stepmum to live her life to the full and enjoy however long she has left and we couldn't be more grateful.

Home Instead Watford have been providing care and supporting my Mum since March this year. We lost my Dad last year and Mum has suffered so many debilitating falls since then and has now been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I don't live locally so finding Home Instead Watford has been a lifeline for both

of us; the understanding and empathy from the office team and carers has been exceptional who always consider my Mum's opinions and feelings. Despite her reluctance to have care she is now having regular calls and really likes the ladies especially her drive outs or sometimes a coffee stop, it gives her a sense of independence. The team have all been such a great source of support and I feel that they genuinely care for Mum. We have had a few problems with her health too and both the ladies in the office and carers have gone out of their way to ensure Mum has the medical support she needs as well as safe home. I can't recommend HIW highly enough.

Home Instead have cared for my father for over a year. Not having entered into the carers world and the anxiety my family had over starting it, it worked out well for Dad and he really enjoyed seeing his carer each morning.
If there were any issues, they were dealt with swiftly and professionally.

I would recommend the company to others .

Home Instead Watford have been providing care for my Mum for the last couple of years. Initially she only needed a carer visit a couple of times a week, but more recently we have increased this to daily. They have been there to offer companionship, help her prepare an evening meal, and help her with

any other daily tasks that she finds difficult. All of the carers that she has met have been lovely, very friendly and eager to help. And the office team have also been very helpful and flexible as Mum's needs have changed over time, in terms of both amending her care plan and suggesting ways that Mum can be better supported. The visits have definitely enhanced Mum's life over the last couple of years, and have enabled her to stay at home for longer than would otherwise have been possible. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Home Instead to anyone else needing to arrange care for themselves or loved ones.
