Have only recently used Home Instead so difficult to give a comprehensive review but the staff we have dealt with, one manager and one care worker, have been very good. Hope to gain more experience of the service in the future.

The care management team are great at keep you informed about all aspects of the care, including the timesheets (schedule of visits) and the invoices that detail the exact times of visits. Any issues raised by the carers are brought to your attention, such as the need for a doctors visit. The care
managers arrange for a doctor or other support when needed.
The carers who visit my aunt are very thorough and attentive, which is a challenge because my aunt is quite deaf. I feel confident that they provide a friendly and reliable service.

Home Instead provided exceptional care for my Mum over a very challenging year. All the carers were kind, professional and treated her with dignity, respect and a healthy dose of humor. The management staff were excellent too and I would recommend Home Instead 100%.

Home Instead cared for my father for the last few months of his life. My brothers and I were becoming increasingly worried about our father's ability to care for himself as he was living on his own and we all lived far away.
I contacted Home Instead and knew I had made the right choice straight away
at the initial meeting. The staff were very well organised and very thorough at information gathering asking lots of questions and taking a lot of notes. .I could see straight away that they were very committed and took their work very seriuously.
After an initial assessment period of a few weeks I was really pleased to learn that Home Instead had decided my father needed visits twice every day. It really put my mind at rest to know he was being visited regularly and we had access to twice daily reports of what was happening with my father.
They were also a godsend when my father passed away sorting out what needed to be done. I don't know how we would have coped without them.

My family and I are beyond grateful to the Home Instead caregivers and office staff for the dedicated, professional way that they looked after my parents in their bungalow over a period of six years - making it possible for them both to, ultimately, pass away in their comfortable home (albeit just over
two years apart).


The kindness of the caregivers knew no bounds, and someone was always available in the office to respond to, and support us with, any changing situations (especially health-wise) that elderly people almost inevitably experience.


I can honestly say that we could not have coped without the Home Instead team from a practical point of view but, additionally, the friendship they gave Mum and Dad (for example - playing Scrabble, helping with crosswords, chatting together) ensured that daily life for my parents was varied and interesting.


I would have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead to anyone looking for professional, caring, in-home support.

I cannot stress enough how wonderful Home Instead have been and the reassurance they brought to my mum and our family. After sadly experiencing poor care with previous companies and seeing the negative effect that had on my mum, finally having a company that truly care about your loved one was life
changing. My mum transformed, it was a joy to see how much she adored her carers and they felt the same. It was important for us that Mum had the same carers, who really got to know her and her routine and I was very pleased to hear that it was just as important to the Home Instead staff. I didn't need to worry anymore about how Mum would be treated, safe in the knowledge that she was receiving the best possible care and I could step away. In my opinion Home Instead are the gold standard of care and I only wish that we had them from the start. The carers became like family to us. Home Instead genuinely care about their clients and nothing is too much trouble. We are so grateful to them all.

Cannot fault home instead. My mums carers were all outstanding & actually cared.we used them for at least 4 years, possibly longer. Not only are the hands on carers brilliant but the office staff really do go above & beyond to help & support with healthcare communication & general advice
on care & future steps. Can't praise them highly enough

Knowing that my Mum was supported in her own home by such compassionate and dedicated carers made an enormous difference to us all. Your staff consistently

Home Instead is the 2nd care agency that I have used for my husband, so I feel that I can compare agencies. Yes, Home Instead is more expensive, but I have found that everything is much more efficient (office), conscientious, caring, and reliable (carer). When my husband is with his carer, I do not
have to worry, I know that he is in safe, caring hands.

Mum had spent over 3 weeks in hospital and on discharge home was quite weak and her confusion, due to dementia, seemed to have progressed. She needed a slower pace to process speech, along with patience and encouragement from those caring for her to get through the day. I found this quite difficult
to cope with, but the carers from Homeinstead took this in their stride with their usual caring professionalism. It soon became apparent that mum needed an evening visit to help her get ready for bed. This was swiftly put in place by Homeinstead at an agreed time and after a short time mum got used to, and now enjoys, these evening visits. The increase in visits also gives me a greater peace of mind and the hope that we can keep mum living at home, which is her dearest wish. The Carer's log of visits is such a a useful tool as I can instantly get an idea of how mum is after each visit and if there is anything required from me. Both mum and I feel fully supported by Homeinstead.

We used Home Instead to help with my mum who has been struggling with mobility and mental health. I found all the carers to be amazing. Always helpful, offering assistance with anything and everything. They were very patient with my mum who can be difficult! They demonstrated real professional pride
and were proactive in taking on tasks without being asked.
Thank you to all the team! Sadly my mum is now in a care home after a fall but should her health improve and she comes back to her address then I would definitely use Home Instead
