The registered care manager and the office staff really go the extra mile to support my parents and myself.

My sister-in-law spent a month in hospital at the end of last year. When she came out of hospital she wanted to continue to live on her own. She soon realised that at the age of 83 years old she would need help going forward to remain independent. She was recommended by a friend to contact Home Instead to ask for help. My sister-in-law soon felt at ease with the lovely team of carers who visit and help her stay at home. The team are always professional, cheerful, caring and thoughtful during their visits and put her wishes first.

We have used Home Instead since February this year for my 93 year old mother and we have both been absolutely delighted with the service provided.

The continuity of care is superb. Mum has one primary carer who is absolutely amazing and always arrives on time. If the primary carer is on leave we have another wonderful carer who visits mum; again she is always on time and both ladies are so lovely that mum really looks forward to their visits.

Mum really looks forward to her care visits, nothing is too much trouble and the care mum receives is first class.

Our service from Home Instead has been outstanding. From our regular day carers to arranging Night Sitters at extremely short notice, reacting to my Mums care needs and support during a rapid health change. We cannot fault the staff at Home Instead and highly recommend them.

My sister and I wanted to put in place an extra visit for day each day as we had noticed medication being missed on several occasions. We where told we needed a care review that included Dad which was quickly arranged and even though Dad has been resistant when my sister and I had mentioned it, the reviewer was so good at taking to Dad that its now getting put into place, which will not only help Dad but also be reassurance for my sister and I going forward.

I'm confident that if there are any problems that arrive unexpectedly will be dealt with efficiently and swiftly.

I have always found staff helpful, friendly and hard working, doing whatever job I ask them to do. It would be helpful if I could contacted by the management if staff are unable to come, or would arrive late (due to traffic etc).

I had a total knee replacement on the 21st of November 2025 and have found the service to be first class. The companionship of the carers has helped me a lot as I live alone.

When we signed up to Home Instead, they stepped up at very short notice. The managers met my father to understand fully his requirements. They have been very accommodating, particularly at the beginning when we needed more help. Once things settled down, they have visited my father daily, taking care of all requirements, from personal care, cleaning, preparing meals and providing company for my father. He has found the carers a great help and it has eased my worry. The app that is provided allows me to see daily reports on any issues, as well as see how my father is and what has been done. A great service that I would recommend to anyone.

Leigh especially built a good relationship with my mum and was very good with her. My mum really listened her when giving advice.

Dad was declining in general well-being before we invited Home Instead into dad and our lives, the change in him several months on is remarkable and as his child I really appreciate the support.

I have been surprised that the care plan went so smoothly. Staff are kind and considerate, very efficient and helpful, and it wasn't long before they felt just like family. I would recommend them to everybody.

When care has had to be increased they have responded quickly, ensuring that their care needs have been covered - but building in a flexibility that means this is not overwhelming for them. I drafted in Home Instead to look after my mum in emergency circumstances (during the May bank half term holiday when resources are scarce) and the care manager and carers went over and above to accommodate my request. The level of care has been exceptional, keeping my mum comfortable and clean with dignity, with her burnt broken ankle. The carers are considerate and consistent in their task delivery. Friendly and personable with my parents. Depending on your requirements I would certainly recommend Home Instead

The Care Pros are always kind, friendly, helpful,and willing. They arrive on time, unless there is a genuine reason not to, and then they make every effort to get there as soon as possible. They carry out their tasks with good himour and compassion.

The App keeps everyone informed, including me, and, apart from it being good to know what is going on or how the health of my Mum is, it is an excellent way for everyone involved to be informed of what is happening.

The Office Staff are also very willing to assist in any situation and they do an amazing job of keeping both their Clients and their Staff happy.

This is a well run organization and somehow they have managed to ensure their Staff are all lovely people.

The carer, Dawn is very respectful, caring and treats us with dignity. There is nothing too much and all the requests of myself and my wife are always done in exactly the way we want them down. I am impressed with Dawn's personality, she makes everything I say of interest and value to her. The management have been equally excellent as they deal with every issue that comes up very quickly, including unexpected medical appointments. Our lives have been enriched, and we have more activities, great company and are much happier. We are very well cared for by Home Instead. I have to say that I am delighted with the whole Home Instead (Dartford) team, so kind and helpful, and the quality of their work is excellent.

I cannot rate Home Instead carers highly enough. From the moment they came to our house to organise care for my mum in July 2024, it was clear their focus was on finding the right people to help look after her. We had a number of carers, and they worked as a team in helping mum. What was most lovely about all of the wonderful people we had was the laughter you could hear when they were with mum. My mum was a little bit naughty and had a great sense of humour, so to know that she was having fun was most important to me.

Mum died in January of this year, and I was so touched by the team coming to Mum's funeral. I know that to have 4 carers and one of the supervisors out of the office, or not on shift, but at Mum's funeral would have cost money, but that didn't seem to be important. Thank you so much for that, it really meant a lot.

Home Instead have helped to look after my mum for a number of years now. The two carers who come on a regular basis are outstanding; kind, helpful, reliable and caring. It takes the pressure of me knowing that they are there to help and do what she needs with some of her difficulties.

The admin team are helpful and flexible as needs change.
