Overall Experience

As a family, we couldn't be happier with our mum's carers: Home Instead. All of the staff are really lovely people and approach each visit with enthusiasm and creativity in the care they give.
Mum lives with dementia and is nearly 90. She isn't always easy but the carers are all very sensitive to

her changeable moods and approach her accordingly. They always manage to leave her in a better mood than they found her in. They are all experts in getting her to do things she should do but is putting off, such as showering, wearing clean clothes and eating nutritious food. All of this is achieved by patient persuasion and comes out of experience with mum over the last year. In many ways they are much better at it than we are.
They are presently trying to get her out more and carers are actively exploring ways to get her interested in the outside world again.
Mum is vulnerable but we have no qualms in entrusting her care to Home Instead. They definitely enhance her life.

Overall Experience

It was with some reluctance that I admitted I needed help, a decision I do not regret.
I lay in bed in the morning, waiting for a cheery greeting and being allowed to do what personal care I can manage and with dignity. My morning waits for that cheery voice I would miss. The carers are thoughtful

of my needs and now would hate not to have them. Thank you to all of you.

The team at Folkestone were very supportive to us as a family and the care shown to Mum over the last couple of years has been wonderful. They've shown kindness and compassion throughout mums care and as a family my brother and I felt assured our Mum was getting the best care. Alongside us we all worked

Overall Experience

My sister and I had taken care of both Mum and Dad for many years ourselves. After Dad had passed away and Mum grew more dependant on us for help, we took the decision to look for a care agency to assist us. I did as much research as possible online and asked friends of whom to use. We chose Home Instead,

the best choice we could have made. Right from the first meeting through to Mums passing several years later, they were absolutely brilliant. From the girls in the office who were available for advice, to the wonderful carers, Jo, Gill, Sue and Evie, I cannot recommend them high enough for their professionalism and kind hearts. As Mums Dementia grew more advanced, we arranged for the care team to call in more often. It was a great comfort to us knowing Mum was in safe hands at the times we could not be there. Mum grew very fond of them all and we were so pleased that the carers could attend the funeral. Thank you Home Instead, you are a credit to your profession.

Overall Experience

I have been using Home Instead for just over 6 months for my mum. I would describe the whole service as excellent and well above expectations. The carers are kind, patient and dedicated. They carry out their work with intelligence and attention to detail. The service gives me much needed peace of

mind, as I live far from my mum. The office staff are also exceptionally helpful. I can't speak too highly of Home Instead. It's a thoroughly caring and professional service.

Overall Experience

My sister and I can't thank Home Instead enough for the help and support they have given to our Dad.
His visitor Diane has been exceptional with the company she has provided, her help with household and garden tasks and taking Dad out for visits to garden centres, cafes and shops. Dianes reports of

her visits to Dad are very comprehensive and informative, and a great help to us.
Home Instead have also been very flexible in arranging additional visits when required.

Overall Experience

It's never easy to entrust someone else with your parent's care, especially when dementia is involved. But the support we've received has been such a comfort to our whole family. The caregivers provide a simple but truly meaningful service - a hot meal at lunchtime, washing up, a bit of ironing and

laundry, emptying the bin - and, most importantly, gentle companionship.
These small daily tasks make a big difference for my parent, who is living with mixed dementia. The familiarity and routine help bring calm to the day, and the carers are always respectful, patient, and kind. They treat my parent like a person, not a task, and that means the world to us.
We're so pleased with this dependable support for our father.

Thank you so much to Kishore, Sharmila, Carina and all of the lovely, friendly staff at Home Instead Folkestone Kent.
They provided care for our lovely Mum Joan for more than seven years, they not only provided the personal care that she needed but also were like extended family, singing along with

Mum to her old favourites and always going the extra mile with no rush even when the girls were over their scheduled time.
A special thank you to Michelle and Debbie who were with Mum from the start.
Also a special thank you to Sophie and Corrine who were with Mum in her final hours when family couldn't be.
There were problems with a member of our family who decided to interfere during the last 18 months of Mum's care, but Kishore, Sharmila, Carina and the team managed this situation very professionally and tactfully even though the family member was often making things difficult for the carers.
Thank you so much again for looking after our lovely Mum x

I have only very recently started having help frm Home Instead but am very impressed indeed with the kid and supportive emails I have had which show so much understanding of my personal problems. I have not ye met my support worker many times but have made a good start with her and find her very

quick to understand my problems . Extremely impressed with flexiable arrangements made to help with my problem of sometimes needing to cancel visits at short notice. I have tried several other firms and they could learn a great deal from Home Instead especially two firms whom I will not name. I have been amazed at the kindness and understanding shown about various matters, compared with the lack of tolerance and downright rudeness I have suffered in the fairly recent past from the nameless companies. If anyone is less than happy with the company giving them or their loved one care I would strongly suggest they try Home Instead if they are in the Thanet area.

Overall Experience

Home Instead have provided an exemplary service to both my Mum and to me, providing increasing care and support as her health deteriorated. As well as being committed, kind, friendly and caring to Mum, they have been proactive in contacting other care professionals, collecting medication etc to ease

the burden on me. The office did all they could to enable Mum to have a team of 4 carers that she could trust and know her needs, and this made a huge difference to her. The communication was faultless and the whole team are so professional and supportive.
I am so grateful for the excellent care they gave Mum and would 100% recommend them to anyone else seeking home care.

Overall Experience

The Carers provided by Home Instead have been of the highest quality, not only in the services provided, (personal care, housework, laundry, cooking meals etc) but also in their kind, considerate and respectful manners in which they carried out their duties. For four and a half years, they have given

me the chance to be a daughter, rather than a carer, for a pair of 90+ year olds who were able to stay in their own home for longer than we thought they would be able. So, thank you very much Home Instead for being there when I couldn't and becoming 'part of our family'. I would have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead, either for a few hours a week or as a full live-in service. Thank you again.

Excellent service. Coudn't be happier. I love my care professionals, and they are single-handedly keeping me out of a care home.
I have 5 special carers in particular.
I love all of Home Instead; they are always there to help and care.

Carers are always punctual,respectful and allow my mum to maintain as much independence as possible. The carers are all familiar to her. We know exactly who is visiting in advance ,which allows me to write their name on my Mums whiteboard even though its the same,regular carers.

I cannot fault this company, since my sister in law started to have them come in daily for 2 hours a week, they have been excellent with her care, and she looks forward to their visits. They have taken her to appointments we just can't make, which has taken the strain off of us immensely. I cannot recommend

this company enough.

I have recently written to the Maidstone Home Instead Team to pass on my sincere thanks to all those who looked after my father in the last months of his life.

I believe that the care he received at home was excellent, with all carers showing compassion and patience whilst delivering the care he

required, enabling him to continue his independent life at home. He resisted having any help, but once the pattern of care was established, whenever I asked if he would like me to step down the hours or stop the visits he would say "well, let's get to the end of the month and see". It was clear he was very happy with the support.

Their care made a difficult time bearable for both my father and my sister and I. Keep up the good work, and know that all you do, makes such a difference.

I had a fantastic experience with Homeinstead. They really care about their clients making sure they are matched perfectly to the clients needs. I had full 24 hour care for 6
Days. My husbands carer arrived on time and gave my husband the very best care. She left at the end leaving my home tidy

and clean and husband content. This is the second time i have used Homeinstead and i will definitely use them again. To be able to have a break from my role as carer for my husband is a true gift for which i am extremely grateful.

Overall Experience

The manager is very quick to respond to any questions or concerns and resolves matters swiftly. The majority of the carers assigned have been a good match for my father.
The app is really useful and helps me feel involved in my dad's day to day care.
