The team at Home Instead Fife have been awesome over the last 18 months or so in helping look after my aging parents (92 and 93) at their retirement flat in St Andrews, especially now that my Mother is losing her mental faculties and my Father his mobility. It is their heartfelt desire they remain together in their own home for as long as is possible, and the current two visits a day by the kind and patient Home Instead team have been key to allowing this to happen safely. As myself and my sister live some distance away it is very helpful to see on the App the summaries uploaded swiftly after each visit - giving us the confidence that my parents are well looked after and allowing us to better plan our visits and support.

The carers provided by Home Instead (East Fife) have been helping me with my mother, who is no longer able to manage at home. She had an accident and they have stepped in to help with her personal care, light housework and been a bright and friendly face to chat to. I am very grateful for the service provided by the capable staff and found them through a local advertisement, but it has all worked out very well. They have taken into consideration my mother's routine and fitted around it, for which my brother and I are very happy.

Great communication and feedback from all staff, which supports the care and wellbeing of the service user. The service is flexible and has provided additional cover and increased services on request. The service users finds the carers/companions friendly, respectful, patient and helpful. The service user looks forward to seeing the carers/companions. It feels like the care and wellbeing of the service user is a team effort between the service, family and service user.

We have two regular carers who help Mum get washed and dressed in the morning and chat with her. Mum's got middle stage Alzheimers and a range of other health conditions. The carers are super at helping her to come out of being anxious or down and by the time they're leaving she's happy and smiling despite often having been in the depths of depression just an hour earlier. She enjoys their company and having them to talk to has improved her quality of life. They've also improved my quality of life because I know Mum's being looked well so I don't worry about her and I get some very welcome respite from caring.

Home Instead (East Fife) came to assist me with my dad in December last year, partly due to my mum being in a care home with advanced vascular dementia and dad finding it difficult to deal with her diagnosis, and living on his own. The Home Instead (East Fife) team have been absolutely amazing in supporting dad (with help at home and companionship), and myself as I work full time and on shifts. Our healthcare professional has been outstanding with dad, a friendly face to look forward to seeing, going shopping together, gardening or just sitting and talking with a cup of tea and cake! She has also helped and supported me immensely in the background, knowing that my dad is being supported twice a week while I'm at work, until I am on my days off and we can go and visit mum together. I would highly recommend this outstanding team for their dedication and care to our loved ones. Thank you.

We found Home Instead through the Council. They have been great at supporting us all in helping Mum to remain safely in her own home. The carers who attend are all very kind and helpful, and are reliable about passing on any relevant information. Mum has formed a good bond with one of the carers in particular, but seems to get along with them all.

All the staff, have been very responsive and the 6 month reviews are really useful to ensure mum is continuing to get the care she needs.

The care professionals with Home Instead are like family. They are willing, friendly, kind and efficient and always professional. If I had any doubts before they have certainly calmed my nerves and have made me at ease with the care provided. Nothing is too much trouble. Not forgetting the talented team in the office who are always at the end of the phone.

The family feel comfortable and assured that the level of service meets our current needs and if there were changes to the level of care required or concerns these would be discussed in a timely fashion.

My dad receives care twice a week, and I am genuinely delighted with the service. He enjoys attending and gets exactly what he needs. The care team demonstrates real compassion and commitment. What has impressed me most is how they have adapted to his evolving needs. Rather than maintaining a fixed approach, they have genuinely responded to feedback and service preferences, adjusting their delivery accordingly. This flexibility shows they are genuinely listening and invested in providing the right support. I feel confident that my dad is in capable, caring hands.

My mum was recently diagnosed with early dementia at 88,you know things are changing but don't want to admit as her daughter you can't cope. I was at mums every day doing all the things she couldn't do but I knew I needed a day off .Home instead west Fife and Kinross were recommended to me by a care home making that call was one of the hardest things I have ever done , the care manager was so lovely and understanding and made an appointment to come out and see us.The meeting went well and the team were so supportive and helpful I knew I had made the right decision. We set up a care plan for 1day a week to have carer come to give mum some companionship and make her a hot meal. Mum was a bit tearful at first and insisted she could manage herself but we are now 4month on and she has got to know the carers and looks forward to her "day off". What I like is new carers are introduced by the care manager, every one of the team have been excellent with mum she is well looked after thank you.

The service is expensive but the service reflects the cost.

The care and friendship provided, in particular by A, was exceptional and I would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead to others.

It is a huge relief to know that we can go away for periods and leave my mother-in-law in the care of such an excellent carer.

My mum at 89 was very reluctant to receive any additional support despite significant and deteriorating mobility issues. The Home Instead West Fife team have been extremely patient and understanding in giving her the confidence to accept their help whilst allowing her to maintain a feeling of independence which is so important to her. They are an amazing team who not only listen but genuinely understand the fears and anxieties of their clients. They also truly understand the difficulties of elderly care from the family's perspective. I would not hesitate to recommend Rachel and her team and feel very lucky to have them in our area.

We use Home Instead on a regular basis for a couple of hours a week but occasionally for longer. The staff are always professional and courteous. They have tried to provide interesting activities for my husband. Senior staff always come along to introduce new staff members and find replacements where needed.

All of the staff at Home Instead have made a huge difference to the lives of my parents. Initially we were looking for care for my Dad who had Dementia and was becoming more of a worry for my mum to manage on her own. The carers not only supported my Dad but were also there to help my Mum who was his main carer. They supported with medication, housework, meals and companionship. Since my Dad was taken into hospital as his condition worsened, they have continued to provide valuable support to my Mum who enjoys their visits every day, their help with her own medication and jobs around the house that she now finds difficult herself. All staff take this role very seriously and thorough checks are in place to ensure medication is administered appropriately. The girls who visit always have time to chat and are genuinely interested in supporting Mum. I would highly recommend this company and their carers if you are looking for support for yourself or a family member in their own home.

We recently travelled to Fife to attend our sons wedding, I was concerned that on the day of the wedding after carrying out my husbands care needs, showering and dressing etc, that I would have neither the time, or energy, to have time to spend on getting myself ready on such an important day to us. I contacted Home Instead and was quickly reassured that they could provide help. After an assessment of my husbands needs we were allocated a carer. On the day of the wedding a lovely young lady arrived at our Hotel, she was friendly, caring and efficient. Knowing that my husband was in good hands I was able to have a relaxing morning being pampered and getting myself wedding ready! I cannot recommend Home Instead highly enough, they made such a difference to our day. Thank you so much for making our special day!!
