Home Instead (West Fife & Kinross) have matched mum with really great carers. They go above and beyond to support mum with her needs and she looks forward to their visits.
All the staff, have been very responsive and the 6 month reviews are really useful to ensure mum is continuing to get the care
she needs.

Easily organised rest bite Care for elderly friend to enable daily visits whilst I was on holiday for 2 weeks. This ensured someone visited each day offered hot drink, food and company for an hour each day.
We decided to continue this several days,a week, to support ongoing care needs.
All staff very
caring and respectful of my friends needs.

My dad receives care twice a week, and I am genuinely delighted with the service. He enjoys attending and gets exactly what he needs. The care team demonstrates real compassion and commitment. What has impressed me most is how they have adapted to his evolving needs. Rather than maintaining a fixed
approach, they have genuinely responded to feedback and service preferences, adjusting their delivery accordingly. This flexibility shows they are genuinely listening and invested in providing the right support. I feel confident that my dad is in capable, caring hands.

My mum was recently diagnosed with early dementia at 88,you know things are changing but don't want to admit as her daughter you can't cope. I was at mums every day doing all the things she couldn't do but I knew I needed a day off .Home instead west Fife and Kinross were recommended to me by a care
home making that call was one of the hardest things I have ever done , the care manager was so lovely and understanding and made an appointment to come out and see us.The meeting went well and the team were so supportive and helpful I knew I had made the right decision. We set up a care plan for 1day a week to have carer come to give mum some companionship and make her a hot meal. Mum was a bit tearful at first and insisted she could manage herself but we are now 4month on and she has got to know the carers and looks forward to her "day off". What I like is new carers are introduced by the care manager, every one of the team have been excellent with mum she is well looked after thank you.

The carers have been reliable, friendly, flexible and helpful. They have developed a good relationship with mum who found the personal care element initially quite difficult to accept. It is easy to make adjustments to the package of care, as the office staff are efficient and thorough. They have been
very good at offering mum the support she needs in a supportive and gentle way.
The service is expensive but the service reflects the cost.

Home Instead helped care for my father at home for 2 years from January 2024 until December 2025 when we reluctantly had to transfer him to a full time nursing home.
My dads care requirements increased throughout that period and Home Instead responded to his increasing needs and provided stability
and continuity with the individuals who cared for my father.
The care and friendship provided, in particular by A, was exceptional and I would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead to others.

Outstanding care for my mother-in-law while my wife and I were on respite leave. My mother-in-law was so happy with the service that she received that asked specifically that we compliment the carer (Keira) and organisation on the excellent quality of the service they provided.
It is a huge relief
to know that we can go away for periods and leave my mother-in-law in the care of such an excellent carer.

My mum at 89 was very reluctant to receive any additional support despite significant and deteriorating mobility issues. The Home Instead West Fife team have been extremely patient and understanding in giving her the confidence to accept their help whilst allowing her to maintain a feeling of independence
which is so important to her. They are an amazing team who not only listen but genuinely understand the fears and anxieties of their clients. They also truly understand the difficulties of elderly care from the family's perspective. I would not hesitate to recommend Rachel and her team and feel very lucky to have them in our area.

We use Home Instead on a regular basis for a couple of hours a week but occasionally for longer. The staff are always professional and courteous. They have tried to provide interesting activities for my husband. Senior staff always come along to introduce new staff members and find replacements where
needed.

All of the staff at Home Instead have made a huge difference to the lives of my parents. Initially we were looking for care for my Dad who had Dementia and was becoming more of a worry for my mum to manage on her own. The carers not only supported my Dad but were also there to help my Mum who was his
main carer. They supported with medication, housework, meals and companionship. Since my Dad was taken into hospital as his condition worsened, they have continued to provide valuable support to my Mum who enjoys their visits every day, their help with her own medication and jobs around the house that she now finds difficult herself. All staff take this role very seriously and thorough checks are in place to ensure medication is administered appropriately. The girls who visit always have time to chat and are genuinely interested in supporting Mum. I would highly recommend this company and their carers if you are looking for support for yourself or a family member in their own home.

We recently travelled to Fife to attend our sons wedding, I was concerned that on the day of the wedding after carrying out my husbands care needs, showering and dressing etc, that I would have neither the time, or energy, to have time to spend on getting myself ready on such an important day to us.
I contacted Home Instead and was quickly reassured that they could provide help. After an assessment of my husbands needs we were allocated a carer. On the day of the wedding a lovely young lady arrived at our Hotel, she was friendly, caring and efficient. Knowing that my husband was in good hands I was able to have a relaxing morning being pampered and getting myself wedding ready! I cannot recommend Home Instead highly enough, they made such a difference to our day. Thank you so much for making our special day!!

Staff and the Home Care Team provided excellent support and assistance when Dad had to go into hospital and ensured that everything was in place for him on his return. They really did go above and beyond to ensure continuity for Dad and even went to visit him in hospital.


We (the family) are so

grateful for this support. Without this, Dad would have to go into a Care Home.

Mum's wish is to stay at home so having had Home Instead recommended to us, we met up to discuss mum's needs. Wow! From the first meeting we have been blown away by the level of care that is provided for mum - started within a week of meeting. It's very clear that Every Single Person at Home Instead
West Fife & Kinross cares. Mum's team are incredible - just completely lovely in the way they talk to mum and look after her every need, with kindness, compassion, empathy and fun. Each member of mum's team has been matched with her and when we meet them at mum's, it's like having a friend round - we can't believe how lucky we are! It's so reassuring for us, as we don't live near mum so can't be there everyday. Knowing that she is clean, safe, comfortable and has stimulating company a few hours every day has been a weight off our shoulders. We cannot recommend Home Instead West Fife & Kinross highly enough.They really do go above and beyond the call of duty, thank you so much.

I received a very positive response from Home Instead when my sister needed support on her discharge from hospital.
After a helpful assessment visit, the care, which she required, was provided very promptly and it was also possible to increase the service, on a temporary basis, when circumstances
changed at short notice.
We found that all members of staff were friendly, informed and efficient in meeting my sister's needs, giving her, and the family, welcome reassurance as she adjusted to being back at home.

Mum has really enjoyed having her carer visit each week. Trips out for a cup of tea, staying in and chatting with her company and also help shopping. Its been highlight of her week.


Something she really looks forward to. My step father has felt the benefit of having this for Mum.

Homeinstead provide support one hour per day on four days per week to take my 90 year old father shopping, do some cleaning, cook some meals and make sure he is well. The carers are all lovely to mum. As a family we are very happy with the level of care mum gets. Mum was a bit reluctant to get help showering but the carers helped her to accept the care and she now looks forward to their visits. They have all been so friendly to her.
