Overall Experience

Home Instead (Rotherham) provided really good companionship to my father Bill who had Alzheimer's and thus they also gave support to my mum, Bill's wife and primary career. In addition to being friendly, Home Instead's companions showed a genuine interest in my dad, talking to him about his earlier

life and interests. Everyone at Home Instead (Rotherham) were very kind and helpful: not only the companions but also office staff and management. The companions were reliable and always on time which was important to my mum as it meant that she was able to get the scheduled bus for shopping and other appointments. Sadly, my dad's condition deteriorated and he went into a nursing home, then hospital before passing away in another nursing home last week but we all appreciate the companionship and care provided by Home Instead (Rotherham) over Oct and Nov 2025. Thank you.

Overall Experience

I couldn't recommend Home Instead more highly, they have been looking after Dad for nearly two years since his Dementia diagnosis. We live 5 hours away so without their support we would be unable to ensure that he is kept safe and has a good quality of life.

Dad has a small team of Healthcare Professionals

who visit him daily, they provide a structure for his life including taking him shopping, trips out for coffee and cake, friendship lunches etc, or just being there for coffee and a chat if that's all he wants.

For us as a family we have been supported by the Operations Manager every step of the way. Personally, I cannot express my gratitude for her continued support in what have been challenging times. Her expertise and knowledge are second to none.

Finally, it would be remise of me not to mention the team as a whole who are professional, supportive, kind and caring whenever I call.

Overall Experience

Great reliable service given with confidence at all times.
Carer normally visit for one hour twice a week and have good experience and know my personal and safety needs and requirements at all times.

Overall Experience

Care provided for my father has been excellent, going above and beyond when he got admitted to hospital and a stroke unit they visited even though it was out of their area. Good friends have been made and they got my father talking more. It wasn't only the care that was excellent, the companionship

and nothing was too much trouble.
Thank you so much for the care you provided before by father passed away. The support after has been great too!

Home Instead provides an excellent service. We have a consistent carer who is always punctual and never lets us down. Home Instead answered that our requirements were all met and a lovely carer was carefully interacted to our dad. We have now used the service for two years and cannot recommend Home

Instead enough.

Overall Experience

Home Instead have been providing morning care for my wife for some considerable time at this point. The carers perform a wide variety of tasks for my wife including washing, dressing and even occasional laundry . Home Instead were even able to provide round the clock care over a weekend when I had to

spend a weekend in London.

Overall Experience

There have been several serious safeguarding issues. The back door has been left unlocked overnight on more than one occasion. A carer returned to mum's after the visit was complete and mum was asleep, entering the property, not informing anyone and not switching on the lights. Mum woke to see a figure

with a head torch in her room who hadn't announced herself. Mum was very frightened. Nobody informed us of the incident until mum let us know the next day. We have never received a satisfactory explanation for what happened. Mum's back door was left open overnight with the key safe open and the key in it. I wasn't informed by Home Instead and read it on a care app nearly 4 hours later. I phoned the office and was fobbed off. I wasn't informed of the outcome of any meeting until I asked, and they sent the carer who had put mum at risk back in that evening. I requested that the carer did not go in again. I had to move to another company. Very disappointing. It seems to be profit not people!

I can't praise the care staff enough, they have been wonderful with my dad. Always on time, very caring, kind and hard working and I know I can trust them to make sure he is OK which is such a relief. They have been a huge help to all of us, taking some of the burden of caring for my dad from my mum

and putting my mind at ease knowing that someone is there to help. Both my mum and dad are really happy with them, they enjoy their company and appreciate their care and kindness. My contact with the office has always been excellent and very professional and they have responded very quickly to any queries or concerns. Very happy with the service provided.

Overall Experience

Our experience so far has been very good. We particularly like the fact that there isn't too many different carers supporting Mum.
We also like how responsive the team is to our suggestions & any changes.
The system helps us keep on track of what happens at each visit. Our main concern is Mum's well

being & keeping her nourished.
