Towards the end of my grandmother's life, it fell to us to help my father and aunt with her care. But with work, and everyday life, we knew we couldn't give her the level of care she needed on our own.

The team at Alcedo Care Bury made such a difference. They stepped in and gave my grandmother the care, dignity and support she deserved, and it was clear they genuinely cared about her wellbeing.

Having them there took a huge weight off our shoulders. Instead of constantly worrying about whether everything was being done, we were able to spend quality time with her as her family near the end.

New managers = Amazing can't fault them, the change in the last 2 or so months.. theve gone above and beyond along with the carers to try help me and help get more support in place with social workers. late nights, endless phone calls and emails. always there to speak to and always get back to you. Im so happy to be under there care i just wish they was around from the start of my care. Any issues that may of come up were dealt with and sorted and we move on.

As someone who is neurodiverse ,diabetic and suffers with multiple mental health issues I find Alcedo care very confusing .Some staff are lovely and unfortunatly Ive had to stop some staff from attending my call due to gross unprefesional behavour .The office staff a poor at comunication if something changes as they know I cant cope very well with change.However my needs have change so extra training has been given But staff who have attended this still dont seem to have taken this extra training on board. Quiet regularly Im put to the bottom of things in other words Im at the bottom when it comes to priorties which makes me feel very low .They receive a substantial sum for my care and for this I do not feel like Im receiving value for money.

We have been really impressed with everyone we have liaised with, from the initial call and assessment to the wonderful carers and management support. We approached Alcedo Care to provide temporary support following mum's long hospital stay and heart operation. Mum is a retired Care Quality Commission Inspector and has nothing but praise for the experience and care she has received. The excellent, proactive and genuine care for mum and our supporting family has made a stressful transition significantly less so. Thank you.

Alcedo care have provided care to my elderly father suffering with Alzheimer, for nearly twelve months ,starting with a single visit to ensure he had eaten and had a hot drink during the day. as is condition worsened and he eventually became bed ridden ,alcedo care provided 2 carers four times a day to care for his increasing needs up to his passing a few days ago. We as a family can only thank alcedo care for their outstanding service and professionalism from the management staff to the male and female boots on the ground .we have no doubts whatsoever that without alcedo care ,dad would not have survived for as long as he did and most certainly would not have been able to stay in his own home during his illness. After so many bad care experiences the York team have rescued me from a life I couldn't cope with anymore and given me a life full of adventure, care and support. The care is person centred and compassionate. If there's a problem it is fixed. I never thought I would get a meaningful life back but now I have it, and hope for my future again. On the whole good. Some carers more professional than others.

We had a very rocky start last summer. Since changes to management and other staff things have improved significantly. My son now has three regular carers and we have settled into a good routine with them all.

Alcedo looked after my Nan for a few weeks and were brilliant. The girls were lovely and so kind and patient. The whole process was easy and we got an assessment and plan in place quickly. Would recommend Alcedo to anyone needing home care. Thanks

We have carers attending to take care of my granddad, they are very supportive, caring and lovely. Care staff are well trained and communicate well with us as a family. Nothing is too much trouble. The management team are very efficient and supportive of any changes or adaptations.

The care we received from Alcedo Care was excellent and provided the family with the valuable respite that we needed. The staff who visited were lovely and very respectful of my daughter and family.
