Overall Experience

since my son joined the care it has massively helped our family as a whole, restbite for myself and his brother is something we have needed for our family to thrive.
my son has enjoyed his days out with the staff and also has been happy to go out with them on arrival and with him being non verbal

is massive for him to go happily shows he is really enjoying his time out with the staff. this also gives him a change of face from myself and his brother which he needs.

the staff are really engaging and have trialed different days out with my son, and braved settings i would struggle to take him myself.

Currently getting care for my partners Nan and they've been amazing from the first initial meet up about what care requirements she needs to now having the carer coming in weekly to help her. I can't thank the team enough for all they've done so far and would recommend them to anyone who is needed care

Overall Experience

My experience with Alcedo is mainly good. Mum gets treated really well the carers that she gets are great if we ever have a problem the office are all great and sort out our problem. There are one or two carers that Mum loves and really looks forward to them coming as it brightens up her day.

Overall Experience

I have been receiving support from Alcedo carers for almost a year now. They support my young som who has physical and mental disabilities with access to the community as well as home support. Receiving support from Alcedo has massively improved his quality of life with developing personal relationships

and engaging in activities outside of school. The carers they have been sending have gone above and beyond to ensure that my son is happy and active. The office staff have been extremely supportive and understanding with the allocation of his hours. I do not know what we would do without them.

Overall Experience

Friendly carer, interacted well with mum. Asked her what she wanted and where she would like her medication. Mum supported through a shower, also helped her to dress and come downstairs, made tea and toast. Cheerful manner, emptyed bathroom bin.

Overall Experience

Would not recommend this agency to anyone looking for care. They do not do what they claim on their website, they treat the family of the service users with no respect, they ignore phone calls, emails and all other forms of communication. The staff provided do not have the specific training for the

needs of the service user and they employ anyone with half a transferable skill and stick them onto complex packages without further training. They don't follow policies and procedures and more worryingly don't have policies for a lot of things that should be standard. The management lack health and social care experience, office staff are practically children and don't listen to word you say. That seems to a be a running theme throughout the agency. Not listening. They can't even get the users disabilities on their care plans right and claim to have no idea about major needs of their clients.
And they will lie to cover themselves when you pull them on their failings! Shocking quality.

Overall Experience

I commissioned weekly one hour visits for my mother, sadly diagnosed with Aphasia leaving her completely non-verbal. I can honestly say that the needs of my mother have been met in full, with anything I ask for provided without question. I have now increased the visits to twice weekly which again

was supported immediately and with the the team ensuring that my mothers needs were met at both calls and attempting to ensure continuity of care giver each time. I have been extremely impressed with both the responses from the commissioning team and the carers who are looking after my mother. My mother has had carers now for several months, after some reluctance from my mother she now looks forward to their visit and whilst she cannot communicate with the carers she certainly enjoys the interactions they have. The experience to-date is extremely positive I would certainly recommend Alcedo to anyone looking for complex/dementia type care in the home.

My sister and I are delighted with the care provided by the team at Alcedo for our mother.
Mum is 94 and lives independently but with some mobility issues.
The carers attend promptly morning and late evening. They engage with Mum and are always friendly, caring and supportive, they have a little clean

around too, even though that is beyond our expectations.
I have recommended them to a friend of ours whose mum is in a similar situation and he is also extremely impressed with their services.
I cannot recommend them highly enough for the attention to detail, and great peace of mind it gives us knowing mum is under their care when we are not available.

Overall Experience

I was recommended to Alcedo Care by client relatives I know well. The care from start to finish has been excellent. The lady who undertook the initial assessment was brilliant. She knew her role inside and out and knew what was required for Mum's needs. We initially started with a morning call to help

with breakfast and tablets but this has now increased to a lunchtime call.
The care staff have been excellent, and I cannot fault them. They arrive when they say going to and are professional throughout. Mum has taken a particular liking to two of them who are really patient with Mum. They make sure she eats her breakfast and make her a hot lunch. Mum forgets to eat unless prompted. They sit with her and chat, giving Mum some company whilst making sure she eats and drinks.
Many thanks to all the staff who have allowed me to retake the role of a son again, safe in the knowledge she is being professionally cared for.

My husband has complex needs so was initially anxious about a new care package. Have only had carers for a few weeks but must say we are extremely happy with the care and attention given. I don't live near my mum so needed carers to keep an eye on her, Alcedo has provided the care and necessary confidence in looking after my mum that I needed. Although Mum doesn't need a lot of care at present we know she will in the future with her life-limiting illness, the companionship and care they

Overall Experience

I do not live in the UK and I rely on the detailed, twice daily reports filled out by the Alcedo team to monitor the wellness of my father. The carers, and our primary contact, are so thoughtful and kind to my father (who can be tricky) and they make sure that my sister and I are aware of everything

that he does, or needs.
After he fell in September I spent some time here to keep an eye on his healing and so was lucky enough to watch the team at work: the care is amazing and he has formed a really strong bond with many of the carers.
I would be more than happy to recommend Alcedo Southport to anyone: they really do actually 'care' about their clients.

Can't thank the staff enough for the support they are providing for my elderly parents. My mum has built up a great rapport with her carer and looks forward to her visits each week.
