Home Instead (Banbridge, Newry & Mourne) provided a first class service for not only our Dad but our family circle. We found the entire team from the manager, Office admin staff and carers very professional, caring, compassionate and extremely efficient in every aspect. On the initial introduction
management called to Dads home to assess him and to see what POC suited Dad best. The plan was then implemented and a team of 4/5 carers were allocated to Dad. As this team were always on rotation Dad got to know them very well and the carers got to know Dads daily routine and what his likes/dislikes were.


The Company use an app which was updated after every visit which was excellent as it kept us up to date with personal care, diet etc at all times.


We are so thankful to have had this team looking after Dad and any future clients will be very lucky to have them caring for their loved one.

All staff were very professional and treated my family member with dignity and respect. I felt very comfortable leaving family member in their care, as I knew he was receiving the best care in his own home. All the girls went above and beyond their job role. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Home Instead.

My mum had weekly visits for the past 5 years to offer support and companionship whilst living alone with dementia. The team are very professional and accommodating. The care professionals visiting are compassionate and supportive and always very reliable which provided a lot of reassurance to both
my mother and family.
I would highly recommend Home Instead for peace of mind and a caring reliable service.

Home Instead has been a lifesaver to myself as I care for my 100 year old mother. The staff are excellent in their approach, friendly, professional and thorough. Staff are obviously carefully chosen by management. They arrive punctually, help Mum with her midday meal, tidy up, dust, wash dishes or hoover
floors. They get mum dressed for bed and engage in meaningful conversations, which is very beneficial for my aged parent. A very worthwhile company indeed, thank you.

The entire team at Home Instead help to provide first class care and support to not only our mum, but our family as a whole. They have been assisting us for around 18 months now and we could not operate without them / the primary care team are a core of 4-5 people who put our mum completely at ease,
and she takes great comfort from their visits. Nothing we ask for is a problem, even at short notice and we could not recommend them highly enough to anyone else thinking of getting assistance of this kind. The notes from their visits to our mum act as a great barometer for my brother and I, and the app is a fantastic facility for us to get updates on how she is on any given day.

Always on time with a caring and cheerful attitude. The carer carries out morning personal care, prepares lunch in advance and does some cleaning. Nothing is too much bother! My parents look forward to seeing her every day. I highly recommend Home Instead!

The girls coming out from Home Instead have been lovely and very good with Mum who suffers from Alzheimer’s. They have even helped give me some tips and advice on different aspects of mum's care that I wouldn’t have known before so their experience and knowledge are great!

The care professional listened to the request I made regarding my mothers's care and made positive suggestions and gave good advice. At times in the past, any changes have been slow to take place. But overall I have had a very good experience with Home Instead.

As a family, we are very pleased with the package of care for our mother. We find all the staff extremely caring and supportive of our mother and ourselves. The carriers take time to talk to Mum and discuss her interests and theirs to help widen her world beyond her house.

My parents and laterally my dad have been receiving visits from the Home Instead team for a few years now. I could not be happier with the level of service provided by the office team but in particular, the two individuals who call and spend time with my dad. The level of care they show to him is outstanding
and I am so very grateful to them. The updates on the app are fantastic and offer a real insight into the care and respect they show him. I have recommended Home Instead to many friends and will continue to do so.

Home Instead support has enabled my parents to remain at home together at home despite their increasing frailty. My mum was always anxious about home visits; she has dementia and didn’t want anyone coming to her home as she was too independent. She then agreed to a visit from Home Instead and met with the director, who then allocated a companion to her for home visits, shopping, going to the park and doing everything
my mum would like to do. She just has so much fun; she loves her carer calling now.
Initially, Home Instead drew up quite an extensive care plan for my mum's life; her childhood, her work career, and her passion for her dogs, so her carer can relate to all aspects of my mum’s life. They’ve been to a restaurant for Mum’s birthday, go to the park with Mum's dog and sometimes just sit at home and chat. The time they spend together is now invaluable to Mum as it allows her to maintain her independence, albeit with a bit of help, from her new friend. A wonderful organisation; my mum and family couldn’t be happier.

Home Instead became my care provider 13 months ago when the NHS trust were unable to provide me with the home care they assessed was necessary. The carers are all warm, friendly people with caring as their main focus. The house they spend with me daily have become a looked forward to experience. Bending
down, stretching and heavy lifting are difficult for me and the carers are more willing to help. They are there for me when being washed but are never intrusive. If I did not have them life would be difficult.

Our situation was a challenging one for the Home Instead in that both parents required 24-hour live-in care, and for the last 12 months, my mother was confined to bed. Having that 24-hour care enabled us to move Mum and Dad back home from residential care, where they had really not settled. It took
a little while for all parties involved to find a pattern and for my mum's medication to be adjusted to her dementia. However, the Home Instead carers were unstinting in their care and patience, and the management team worked hard to adjust to the logistical challenges. We did purchase additional supplemental care, which was vital in covering difficult periods. Overall, we found that the care Mum and Dad received was excellent, and in the case of the final combination of carers, exceptional. It allowed Mum and Dad to return to their own home and live out their remaining months with dignity, something which was hugely important to them and for which we are eternally grateful.

I first met with the Managing Director of Home Instead Banbridge in April 2021, this was to discuss "Live In" 24/7 Care for my Sister, who had a Stroke.
I came away from our meeting, very relaxed knowing that everything possible would be done, for us as a family to ensure that my sister would have
the best care possible and most importantly she would feel happy and secure in her home, meaning I could relax and deal with other duties.
I cannot thank all the Team involved and the "LIve In" Carers for their care/dedication to my sister.
Working closely with the managing director and her team, was a pleasure for me, I was more than happy to leave everything in their control.
I asked myself many times and since just how "Home Instead" managed to keep all "Care" covered, 24/7 hours, when we were all still dealing with "Covid" sickness and other day to day problems, however, the care and dedication/support continued.

Home Instead provided day and night care for my housebound mother, aged 101, to supplement family care. The CareGivers assisted with dressing, toileting, preparing meals, giving medication and providing excellent company.

My mother already had the maximum care she was allowed under the NHS but this was in the form of 15 minute meal time visits.
We involved Home Instead to provide additional companionship visits in the afternoons.
This was a great success, the carer was excellent, and dealing with the company throughout
the time we were using their services was a great experience, as they listened to what my mother’s needs were and were able to tailor the care appropriately.
All of the managers and staff were easy to contact by email or telephone to discuss the care. I would definitely recommend their services.
We were able to keep my mother at home until the time of her death, which is what she would have wanted.

I look forward to the days that my carer is coming. It is nice to get out of the house for a pleasant walk and also the time in the car. My carer is extremely kind and a good communicator. And an advantage in her favour is a very good sense of humour which in my book gains popularity points.
