It really has helped a lot having the carers supporting us, I can't think of anything that needs to make the service better. They all have a sense of humour which is what we need nowadays and they always treat us with respect.

My mum has been a client of Home Instead for several years now. My mum has Alzheimer's and their daily visits are a big part of why she is still able to live at home and be as independent as possible - for far longer than any of us, including the consultant who diagnosed her, predicted. We saw with our dad how fast people go downhill when in care homes, and my sister and I were determined that this would not be the case with mum. Home Instead have been fantastic. What's also helpful is that you can increase and decrease hours (with reasonable notice), depending on mum's needs (post surgery, for example, we upped the hours during her recovery). Most importantly, Mum's carers are absolutely lovely - they treat her with great respect and kindness and have developed strong relationships with her. They go above and beyond, and have helped to avert numerous scam scenarios, with rogue traders coming to her door. They continue to be invaluable and we are very grateful.

I booked last minute home care for my parents while I was away, and the carer who supported them was excellent. She helped with daily household tasks, prepared meals, washed clothes, and kept the house clean and comfortable. She also assisted with emails and appointments, which made things much easier for them. My mum especially appreciated her company, describing her as kind, patient, and reassuring. I received regular updates throughout my holiday, which gave me real peace of mind knowing they were being well looked after. Considering this was arranged at short notice, I was very impressed with how smoothly everything was organised and how flexible the carer was in meeting their needs. Overall, the care provided was reliable, thoughtful, and genuinely supportive, and I'm very grateful for everything she did.

I have received the services of several carers, mainly female. My current main carer is excellent in all aspects of her work and care. She has a great personality and sense of humour. She always checks that I have everything I need before leaving my home.

Home Instead helped my grandma move back into her home after trying a care home for several months.

Home Instead have been supporting my Father now with twice weekly personal care for 5 months. The care he has received from both carers has been outstanding. They are both professional and caring and he looks forward to their visits. One of our requests when starting our journey into home care was that the Home Instead would keep to the same regular carers, which they have done so without fail. Your service is very good as usual but there have been difficulties in having too many new people introduced with no follow up to their induction. In the future, I hope not to have too many introductions.

HomeInstead have been looking after my husband who has Alzheimer's for 3 years, offering companionship for him - and me - and helping with some light cleaning duties in the house while with us. My Dad continues to be very happy with the service he receives from his Home Instead carers. The only reason we stopped using the service was because my mum had to go into residential care. She misses her 'ladies' and the fact that several of them still visit her in the care home is testament to their ongoing support.
