Home Instead Barnet provides award-winning personalised home care for older people that is dignified, reliable and relationship-led.

The care is tailored, flexible and adaptable to the client's needs and lifestyle. As daily tasks become more challenging in the home, Home Instead offers support to clients and their families with a range of support to help clients continue to maintain independence. All Care Professionals can support with home help, dementia care, medication administration, personal care, and companionship.

The care service is relationship-based; they match a Care Professional(s) to the client based on care needs, personality and interests; the clients have visits from a couple or a small team of Care Professionals who get to know the ins and outs of their needs and preferences, and are able to spot and react to anything unusual.

Care visits last at least one hour to ensure the Care Professionals are not rushing and care is delivered to a high quality. Activities are logged online and family members have instant access after the visit is completed.

All Care Professionals are hand-picked for their character and values and are expertly trained to support older people and their families. Each one undergoes extensive background checks and is given high-quality training to provide the confidence, knowledge, and skills to care for older people.

Home Instead cared for our Mum from 2021 until June 2025. They provided daily care, took Mum to appointments and out to activities. The carers were always very supportive and caring. We were always kept up to date with what was happening and any concerns were raised immediately. The admin team were
approachable and very helpful. When Mum fell ill, Home Instead were able to provide 24 hour care even there was no real notice.
Thanks to Home Instead our Mum was able to stay in her own home for as long as possible.

I needed short term care following a fall when I broke my elbow. On discharge from hospital it was impossible to source care through the council but Home Instead were able to provide me with a carer in 24 hours. The whole service was efficient and seamless. I needed a carer for an hour in the morning
to get me washed, hair washed and dressed. Both my carers were fantastic. They were patient and caring and gave me the confidence to start to manage on my own again. I can't thank Home Start enough and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

We called on Home Instead Barnet at very short notice when my mother came to stay with us after becoming ill. They were very responsive and very quick to act, and also understood there needed to be some flexibility.

Home Instead Barnet provided care for both my parents, in their home, for nearly 2 1/2 years. I cannot praise the service, the care or the team more highly. From the initial meeting, to the carers themselves, to the support from the management and scheduling team the level of care was remarkable. All
the team members showed genuine concern for the welfare of my parents, and true professionalism but it never felt like a business or a transaction. I think what really stood out for me and my siblings was the level of genuine concern that everybody showed, and the strong desire to look after my parents and do right by them. It would be unfair to single out any of the individual carers as they were all so good, but having the team at the office who always available to sort issues out and to advise made all the difference. Thank you once again to the whole Home Instead Barnet team

All the carers we had were fantastic, supportive, funny, warm and outgoing and my husband liked and trusted them immediately.

The company, management and caregivers were all very competent, professional and caring. The quality of care provision was always excellent. The staff were approachable and always solved any issues. Mum benefited considerably from the extra mile which all caregivers provided. The quality of care provision
and administrative support cannot be criticised.

The care was second to none. My mother was always in safe, capable, professional, dependable and helpful hands. But my mother's care needs significantly increased and the cost became prohibitive, unfortunately.

We used Home Instead to support Dad to live independently at home. They were able to help with preparing meals and providing personal care, and Dad enjoyed the attention he received. Developed a good and trusting relationship with the carer over time. We did have a few issues when we had to introduce
a live-in carer and the relationship between carers was not totally straightforward but that did improve over time. Thank you, Home Instead (Barnet) for all your help.

I recommend highly the care provided by Home Instead for my 88-year-old husband. He suffers from dementia, Alzheimer's and he has a slow-growing prostate cancer.
THe carers provided were professional, friendly, caring and knowledgable. We were very grateful to all of them.

Home Instead have been providing support for my mother for over three years. The service has been excellent - polite and caring staff who were punctual and well supported by first rate management team.
My mother is a very important person. However, she has enjoyed the company of the carers, accepted
this help and welcomed them into her home.
As a family we cannot talk too lightly about how impressed we have been with the service - Home Instead are first rate.

The support from Home Instead was excellent. The staff at the office went the extra mile to solve any problems. They took as much of the load off us as possible to support us and worked very hard to find the best carers for my mother.

My main carer was excellent. When she was not available the carers were mixed. usually satisfactory but on one occasion appalling though the fees were refunded on that occasion. I found the management very fair and did their best to find a suitable carer.

My experience using Home Instead was nothing but positive from the office staff, management and the caregiver. The caregiver was caring, considerate and dependable. My mum was treated with dignity, patience and understanding at all times. Due to my mum's worsening Alzheimer's she has now moved into
residential care, but the support and care she received from Home Instead enabled her to stay at home as long as was possible. For this, I will always be grateful.
