The carers were delightful and reassuring. They were always punctual and efficient.
Great staff, good pricing and great support. Thank you.
We are pleased that the support we offered was exactly what you required.
My experience using Home Instead was nothing but positive from the office staff, management and the caregiver. The caregiver was caring, considerate and dependable. My mum was treated with dignity, patience and understanding at all times. Due to my mum's worsening Alzheimer's she has now moved into residential care, but the support and care she received from Home Instead enabled her to stay at home as long as was possible. For this, I will always be grateful.
Thank you for your kind review. We are happy to have been able to support your mum and you and your family through this time.
Carer arrives and sat with my wife.
Thank you for your review. I am glad we were able to support you and your wife at this time.
Home Instead provided my mum with first rate, kind and competent carers who would always go the extra mile to look after her and cater for her needs. The carers very quickly became our friends and put their heart and soul into looking after my mum - it was obviously their pleasure to do so and was not 'just a job'.
Thank you for your feedback. It was a delight to care for your mum, the CAREGivers really enjoyed being with her. It was a pleasure to provide support to you and your family.
Thank you.
The two carers that spent time with my mum were both lovely. We used the agency mainly to take my mum out on outings, to complement the time I was able to spend on the weekend etc. She always had a wonderful time and became very fond of them. Very helpfully, the carers would send me a photo/WhatsApp message, to show where they had been, as my mum's memory is very poor so she would not remember. That way, I could remind her where she had been, chat about it, and also be reassured that she had been out on a nice trip, in good company.
The Caregivers were very happy to spend this time with her. We want to work alongside the family to make such visits enjoyable for everyone.
I live abroad. Desperate for care after my mother’s cancer surgery, I called Home Instead. Within 24 hours all was in place.
Their 1st priority - to ensure my mother was safe.
2nd - formalities.
The carer ensured the best possible care, from both herself and the NHS, was given.
When I told her my mother was behaving abnormally, she suspected sepsis and immediately had her admitted to hospital thereby saving her life.
Despite having family, for several weeks, the carer visited 2x/day, 7 days/wk until a 2nd carer was in place.
2 years later, mum (95), is cared for by 2 wonderfully kind and caring people who keep me updated, see to all her needs and, importantly, keep her company and engaged with life.
They are trained in dealing with various health issues including dementia and their helpful tips have been a godsend.
The 2 directors are also great and have gone above and beyond to make my life easier.
They care, it is no job.
Thank you for your kind review. Yes, we really do care. We will do whatever we can to make sure your mother is safe and well, and you are supported.
I am very happy with Home Instead. I live overseas and my dad lives in the UK. He suffers from Alzheimer's and lives alone. Home Instead are a great help to me in looking after him. The caregivers are wonderful and Dad is very happy and gets along well with them so I am at peace knowing he is in good hands. Anything that I want to get done for my dad is taken care of by the caregivers, from shopping to getting things fixed in his house. Taking him for outings, housekeeping for him. I would recommend Home Instead anytime.
Thank you for your kind feedback. We will always help in any way we can, especially since you are living abroad. We are happy to be your first port of call with regards to his care.
We have been using Home Instead for my father’s care for the last 2 years. During this time the service given has been fantastic. The caregivers are kind, professional and thorough, often going beyond their remit and the scheduling department go out of their way to ensure everything possible is done in order to look after Dad in every circumstance. Recently we have had to put in temporary extra care and nothing has been too much trouble. As a family, we are very happy with Home Instead. Thank you.
It was a difficult step to bring someone in to look after my brother, but living at a distance and with the current lockdown he needed more support than I could provide given that he is housebound, suffers from dementia, and has other health problems. When I contacted Home Instead at the end of March to arrange care for my brother, they sorted everything out within days. His carer is bright, hard-working, and efficient and manages to care for my brother and his flat very well.
What is particularly impressive is the way the staff goes the extra mile to make sure their clients are safe. My brother had a problem with drains flooding his flat. In no time at all, they visited my brother, assessed the situation, and contacted the relevant people to fix the problem. When a drainage company paid a call, they were there at the flat to explain the situation and to make sure my brother was okay. And they followed the problem through until it was resolved.
Home Instead are brilliant!
We appreciate how families can feel living away from their loved ones, especially when such situations happen. We aim to offer an extension of the care you provide, rather than there to do a job.
We are using the Barnet branch in London to care for my mother who will be 92 in July. Given the current pandemic, the company has supported my mother at every turn. They are caring and have well trained and willing staff to work with both my mother and our family to personalise the care for her. It’s not easy at the best of times to care for older people but they are patient and make a considerable effort on all fronts. Not sure what we would do without them.
It has been great to work so closely with you in getting the care right for her. Her CAREGivers truly care for her and will do their best to support her, as will the office team.
Communications with the head office are streamlined: fast to react to changes of circumstances, finding resolutions to the unexpected quickly and without fuss. Especially during my mother's isolation during Covid-19 lockdown her carer practised scrupulous safeguarding and hygiene whilst still maintaining a relaxed and very thoughtful relationship with my mum.
Thank you for these kind words. It's very important for us to support our clients' families in this way when providing our clients with care.
My father has used Home Instead for over three years. We have always been very happy with the service. It is reliable, responsive and efficient. He has a regular carer which is good for continuity, reviews have been held regularly. The admin staff are always available for any issue which may arise or any change of service required.
We are happy to have built a long-standing relationship with your father and we will continue to be responsive to his care needs.
Extremely happy with the care provided by Home Instead. They are diligent, kind, caring and communicative. Everyone I have dealt with has been professional, informative and knowledgeable, and I would most certainly recommend Home Instead to those in need.
Thank you for your kind words. We will continue to provide care from the heart.
Home Instead Barnet has been providing care for my elderly mother, who suffers from dementia, for the past 12-months. I have found both managers and carers to be professional, attentive and genuinely interested in my mother's needs.
Our CAREGivers enjoy spending time with your mother on her interests, we know this makes her very happy.
We needed some help with my mother, who we thought may need some help around the house. We didn't want to put her in a care home because she was quite confident and loved being at home, albeit, also to go out around the neighbourhood. We came across Home Instead and wanted to try it out. From the first call, they were very professional. I managed to speak to the right person and shortly after met for a consultation. We addressed the needs for my mother and we were more than surprised by what the new carers could do for her. As time went on, my mother told us that the carer was really friendly and she managed to help with her shopping and the carer really made her day brighter just by visiting, talking, checking in and just by being there to see if there was anything that my mother would want. The carers were on time and did all those extra bits and went that much further for my mother. We are really glad to have visits a few times a week and would recommend Home Instead to anyone who needs the smallest of help to more serious assistance. Great work!
We are happy that your mother is comfortable asking her CAREGivers to help with all sorts of tasks, they will always do their best to provide her with what she needs.
Since moving over to Home Instead Senior Care (Barnet) last year, I have been very happy with the services for my mum. The care staff are excellent and go above and beyond and are well suited to my mum in terms of personality and her specific requirements. It is also great that the same staff are rotated and not continuously changed. The management team are also excellent and very supportive and responsive. I feel very secure in the knowledge that my mum is well looked after. They were also fantastic with providing unexpected short term 24-hour support after hospital discharge over the Christmas holiday period. Thank you to all the staff.
Our CAREGivers have developed a great relationship with your mum and will always do the best to support her, and our support naturally extends to yourself always.
The Carers we have are fantastic, they are always on time and willing to go the extra mile if needed. When my father had to go to hospital, they were able to stay with him while the ambulance was on its way.
One of the things that attracted us was that the carers are all local and don't travel huge distances to make each appointment, this makes life much easier if someone is unable to make an appointment or extra time is needed on some days. They have also provided overnight care when required at short notice, which was very useful.
We are delighted with the care we get from Home Instead and thoroughly recommend them.
We are so pleased that we can provide this support to your father and yourself. His CAREGivers are certainly willing to go that extra mile, as are the office team.
The carers who look after my mother are very kind and gentle with her. Nothing I ask of them seems to be too much trouble. They do extra things like cleaning which I haven't asked of them but which are so helpful to me. It gives me incredible peace of mind to know they see her every day and will let me know if anything is wrong. The office is very approachable too and everyone I have spoken to there has made me feel listened to and to not feel a burden with my requests.
We are proud to have CAREGivers who care in a genuine and personal way, and you are right, nothing is too much trouble, we will support your mother in any way she needs.
