Home Instead Barnet provides award-winning personalised home care for older people that is dignified, reliable and relationship-led.

The care is tailored, flexible and adaptable to the client's needs and lifestyle. As daily tasks become more challenging in the home, Home Instead offers support to clients and their families with a range of support to help clients continue to maintain independence. All Care Professionals can support with home help, dementia care, medication administration, personal care, and companionship.

The care service is relationship-based; they match a Care Professional(s) to the client based on care needs, personality and interests; the clients have visits from a couple or a small team of Care Professionals who get to know the ins and outs of their needs and preferences, and are able to spot and react to anything unusual.

Care visits last at least one hour to ensure the Care Professionals are not rushing and care is delivered to a high quality. Activities are logged online and family members have instant access after the visit is completed.

All Care Professionals are hand-picked for their character and values and are expertly trained to support older people and their families. Each one undergoes extensive background checks and is given high-quality training to provide the confidence, knowledge, and skills to care for older people.

The Manager was so warm and friendly on the initial visit and that made me feel very confident. My point of contact in the office was also lovely and always around to speak to if needed. My Uncle's carer was just the best. Very clean and thorough and the perfect personality for my Uncle. She kept me
informed and I know she really took her job very seriously. Thank you to her for the care and dignity you showed.

Home Instead gave care and support to my father for the last 18 months of his life. When my brother, who was caring for our father, was unexpectedly admitted to hospital we needed to find a care solution. We settled on Home Instead because they came across as not just professional, but as also wanting
to try and provide care that genuinely suited the person being cared for. The way they provided care that changed with time and circumstances as my father became more frail and ill, was impressive. I was very touched by the number of Home Instead staff who came to my father's funeral.

Home Instead first provided care to my husband in September 2018. They chose a wonderful man to look after him: so kind, thoughtful and full of care for his client. For six months my husband needed the help of one caregiver, then it became two before he was admitted to hospital where he sadly died.
My initial contact with Home Instead was on a personal recommendation and I am delighted to endorse that recommendation. My beloved could not have received better care.

Home Instead gave care and support to my mother who had dementia and mobility problems. They managed to provide compatible caregivers who got to know her daily routine and adapted to help her with her changing needs. The caregivers were very caring, considerate and became good friends and understood
her dementia. The service was regularly reviewed. The family could trust the caregivers to work alone with my mother.

My mum managed to stay in her home for the last 8-9 years of her life - in large part due to the service that Home Instead provided. I have been particularly impressed with the care they take matching the most suitable carer to the client - it made a massive difference to my mum's quality of life.


My

dad is 93 (divorced from my mum for over 50 years) and today Home Instead are visiting him. Hopefully, they can bring some sunshine into his life as well!

Impressed right from the start. Professional and caring office staff who matched caregivers thoughtfully. Always kept me informed, had regular reviews and supported me ensuring the right level of care for the client. As the hours and need increased, so did the support from the office and caregivers

Following my mother's death, my dad has struggled living alone. Having just been diagnosed with early-stage dementia he needed companionship and someone to accompany him to appointments and to share walks and everyday jobs. I worked full-time and was unable to cope. I rang Home Instead Senior Care (Barnet)
and within 1 week, life changed. The carer became dad's friend and support and dad began to live again.

I found Home Instead to be an excellent service overall. One Carer, in particular, was extremely warm, friendly and professional in her manner and built a close relationship with my father, so much so, she read a reading at his funeral. However, not all the Carers were as thorough and one let me down,
which led to a safety issue. Overall, however, a very good service provided.

I contacted Home Instead Senior Care as I needed short term support after a right hand operation. Everyone I had any communication with was very professional and supportive and I felt completely safe in their hands. They were also very flexible as it was clear that I only needed short term support and
that my needs will lessen during the period of care.


The manager came to do the assessment with me, to make sure all my needs were fulfilled and together we agreed that the carer would look after me for the 3 weeks following my operation. She was a delight to have around. Caring and with great sense of humour, we got on really well from the first day.


I would be more than happy to recommend Home Instead in general and my carer in particular to anyone needing care.

I requested support in getting in to and out of bath/shower. I had an excellent carer for five visits at the same time each day during that last fortnight in March. She also had time to sit and talk to me and on the last visit took me out for a walk. I have now regained my confidence and have started
to drive. I am 82 and my husband died October 2015 after a long illness.

The staff at Home Instead are wonderful. They responded quickly to the change in my mother's needs and were very kind and reassuring to both of us. There was always a friendly voice on the telephone and the staff went out of their way to be helpful and supportive.
