I was concerned that my mum would not let carers into her long-standing home, but they won her over, treating her with dignity, respect & as an equal. They quickly established how to gain her trust, and my mum continues to enjoy their company and friendship as they administer her medication and cook her lunch.

Home Instead have been caring for my parents for over two years. They have enabled my parents to stay at home with three visits daily. The carers are excellent and very patient, and help with medication, meals, washing etc. Recently when my mother was very ill, they worked hard to ensure that we had temporary night-time cover too, at very short notice.

Home Instead have been excellent throughout. Staff are compassionate and caring, very well trained, and so patient, content. Very good communication from the office, and sharing updates regarding changing care needs. Good supervision noted, excellent, timely record keeping, which is fully accessible to us.

I would highly recommend the carers from Home Instead, they have been excellent with my mother in law. She was initially reluctant to accept any help from anyone, but the care team have worked hard to gain her trust and build good relationships. My mother in law has a diagnosis of Alzheimer's and support is needed with taking her medication and meals, she also needs assistance with shopping and being accompanied on short walks. The support Home Instead have provided has enabled her to remain living at home and given her much needed companionship. The App is excellent at letting us know how each visit has gone. Thank you.

I cannot fault the care given to my Mother and am very grateful for all that the care professionals and other members of the Home Instead team did. Staff were always patient, caring and attentive to Mum's needs. Nothing ever seemed to be too much trouble. Similarly 'back room' staff were always polite and helpful when ever I had cause to contact the office.

I was hoping for carers who had more experience with late-stage Alzheimers. The process of getting a third carer to cover the live-in carers' sickness or holidays has not been good. A supply carer was sent who was not well. I needed extra help in getting the care plan updated. I acknowledge that time was limited but any suggestion to help, for example, postponing a meeting were not accepted. The work was done but I was left in no doubt it had caused inconvenience. A visit from a trainer where there are obvious discrepancies have not shown any improvement.

As a new user of Home Instead care professionals, I am pleased with the help and support I have received. Their friendliness makes each visit something to look forward to.

Home Instead provided support for my wife, who has dementia, in the period when we were waiting for a room to become available in an appropriate residential home. Their initial needs assessment was very thorough and was important in determining the proper support. Each of the care workers providing the support was very professional, empathetic and engaging with my wife. I was very pleased to have the additional support to bridge the periods until my wife could enter the home.

I live and work in London and was experiencing considerable stress trying to manage my mum's care. Fortunately, I found Home Instead following a recommendation from my mum's clinic in Felixstowe. The management team and care givers are exceptional, well organised and very supportive. Before the start of the contractual agreement, a senior manager and the proposed caregiving team spent an afternoon with Mum so that she could get to know them and feel comfortable which was extremely reassuring and a great experience for Mum and I. The team update me on any care issues and the App allows me to view details of each visit. But most of all my mum is happy and enjoys great companionship and care. This matters so much as she was married for 56 years and struggled after we lost Dad. Even Mum's neighbours are impressed and have met the care team.
