I have been using the services of Home Instead Bury St Edmunds for almost six months to care for my parents.
I was instantly impressed with the speed of response following my first contact and with the initial care plan put together tailored to my parents' specific requirements. I am equally impressed
at the flexibility shown to amend this care plan to accommodate their ever changing needs.
The care professionals that visit my parents are exactly that, caring & professional & they have always been introduced first which is particularly reassuring. They are always very kind and thoughtful and it is comforting for me to know my parents are in safe hands.
I would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead Bury St Edmunds, I have found the entire team to be helpful, kind, professional & coordinated and they clearly care very much about the service they provide.

A wonderful caring and professional team. Always happy to help and always so flexible with our mother's needs. I cannot recommend them more highly.
They always considered mums interests as an individual, even down to how she liked a cup of tea made.

We are very pleased with the home care service provided by Home Instead. They are client focused, taking time to understand our needs and agree a personalised care plan, which is reviewed regularly. The care professionals treat our family member with dignity and respect, offering companionship as well

Home Instead provided support for my wife, who has dementia, in the period when we were waiting for a room to become available in an appropriate residential home. Their initial needs assessment was very thorough and was important in determining the proper support. Each of the care workers providing
the support was very professional, empathetic and engaging with my wife. I was very pleased to have the additional support to bridge the periods until my wife could enter the home.

A particular member of staff and his team of wonderful carers have been looking after my dad at home over the last six months, right up to the time for him to move to hospice care. They treated him with great care, good cheer and respect, alert to his changing care needs and keeping him comfortable.
The team is reliable, flexible and easy to contact when things change. Thank you all for making my dad’s last months comfortable, for enabling him to stay at home for as long as possible and for looking after my mum throughout.

Home Instead Bury St Edmund's provided twice daily care visits for my Mum after my Dad was admitted to hospital for an extended period. They were very reliable and excellent at accommodating changes in visit times due to hospital appointments. Mum had several carers covering all the visits, some of
these were truly stellar and had a significant positive impact on Mum who was having a very difficult time with her health as well as Dad's.

My dad has used Home Instead now for approx 6 months, during this time he has been very happy with the service. They are reliable and friendly and the carers that visit him are only 2 or 3 different people which is nice as he gets to know them and they know what he likes.
If we have had any queries,
requests or changes to the service that is required the manager has got back to me very promptly, even at the weekends.
We will continue to use Home Instead as this also gives peace of mind to the family that he is being well cared for when we are not able to visit.

We have used Home Instead for a few months now. My husband needed personal care following a serious illness requiring both hospital and nursing home admissions. I would have struggled on my own. We have liaised closely with different members of staff at Home Instead, resulting in my husband receiving
timely and very good care throughout. The carers we have had have changed very little during this time, so there is good continuity of care. We are now very gradually reducing the input required, as my husband is slowly getting back to how he was prior to being ill.
At times due to either staff absences or scheduled medical appointments, we have been able to re-organise things amicably and efficiently between us, sometimes at very short notice. The response and help received from Home Instead and in particular the director, have been reassuring and situations easily dealt with even if small compromises have been necessary at times. Thank you to all concerned.

Home Instead (Bury St Edmunds) have been really good to me. They look after me every time I come back to visit the town as I live away but still have family and friends in the county. All the staff, from the managing director to the manager and all the carers themselves, have helped to make it a smooth
transition from my care received at home in another area. This means that I don't have to worry about sorting carers out each time, as the management make it easy to book and provide care each time with ease and flexibility. The level of care given is really good which enables me to have time away to visit family and friends without having to worry about how my care needs will be managed.

Since February this year, the manager and his outstanding team of carers at Home Instead, Bury St Edmunds have been looking after my mother, who suffers from the early stages of dementia. Every carer attending has demonstrated the utmost professionalism, respect and kindness to my mother, which has
transformed her quality of life. She has regained her dignity and confidence, being more alert, engaged and physically healthier, which is solely due to the care she has received. We are extremely grateful to every carer from Home Instead and thoroughly recommend their services.

Our contact with Home Instead has been well managed throughout the time we have been involved. Service has been prompt and efficient. Our carer has been excellent, on time, always cheerful and interested in what my wife has been doing and what is likely in the coming week. Her two replacements when
she was ill have been just as good. My wife looks forward to her coming on Friday afternoons.
Nothing we have asked about has been too much trouble for Home Instead.

As a family, we feel so lucky to have found Home Instead (Bury St Edmunds).
The manager and his team responded so quickly and sympathetically when we needed them at short notice. They took time to get to know my father right from the first meeting and assessed his needs accurately. They have tailored
his care to meet his changing needs and have demonstrated flexibility. They have put my father at the centre of the care package using the information they have to give him a personal service. The manager keeps in touch with my brother and I, giving us up-to-date information and making suggestions to make Dad’s life easier. The level of care has been exceptional, it has given us peace of mind as we live at a distance.
