We would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at Home Instead.
The level of care, support,advice and compassionate we received for mum and to all our family was superb from every member of staff we interacted with.
The reason to move care provider was made by others due to funding only.
We
would have preferred to stay with them.
We would highly recommend this company and there services to anybody.

We have been extremely happy with the care and support that my mum has received from all the carers from Home Instead. The only reason we have stopped using their service is because mum broke her hip and has gone into a home.
I would recommend the service 100%

We used Home Instead to support my mum for the last 15 months of her life. Mum always felt safe and secure when with them. All the care professionals were polite, friendly and attentive to mums needs at all times. She so enjoyed the walks and her daily indoor exercises with her care professionals.
They were highly trained and understood mums' challenges with Parkinsons Disease and Parkinsons related Dementia. I have no doubt that mum was able to remain in her own home until the end of her life mainly due to the excellent care provided. I had no concerns at all with the service and would recommend without any reservations Home Instead Derby to anyone who needs support with the care of their loved ones.

I cannot praise the Home Instead team enough. They were always very well organised and all the carers mum had were lovely. She became fond of them and looked forward to their calls. Home Instead, have been first class from the very first time I made contact with them on my Mum's behalf. On initial contact they quickly set up a care package to be able to get Mum home from hospital & although both my parents were apprehensive about accepting help & letting carers into their home,
those concerns were soon overcome by the excellent support from all the Home Instead Team. Over the last 7 months there have been many challenges with Mum's health which have required changes to her care plan at short notice. On each of these occasions Home Instead have been exceptional in immediately putting in place the extra care needed to ensure Mum could remain in her own home & not be admitted to hospital. Both my parents now look forward to their visits, which not only provide the care they need, but also company. For me, the App is an excellent idea, as I can be kept up-to-date with vital information relating to the care they receive, even when I'm on holiday. Exceptional service

We are a couple that use Home Instead with no family but Home Instead have become ours. I was taken into hospital at short notice leaving my husband behind, within minutes Home Instead had arranged 24 hour cover including nights until I returned home. They have been irreplaceable, they are caring for
my husband and for myself in my hours of need, the caring is unbelievable, lost for words, we cannot imagine how we would have managed without Home Instead. On arrival home, they even had a meal ready for me, everything was perfect. My husband was fully involved in the preparation of my meal, he was engaged and happy. We have a dictionary with lots of words but there are no words to express our gratitude to describe and that can express our thanks to Home Instead. I have absolute confidence in them as does my husband in every thing that is done, they always say we 'can do that' and its always done.

The home instead team were absolutely amazing. The care given to my mother was exceptional The carers went above and beyond when caring for my mother always having her best interests at heart. Nothing was too much trouble giving extra support when needed even at short notice. I would recommend home
instead to anyone there care is excellent.

10 years of wonderful care for my Mum, and Home-Instead, Chesterfield, the best choice ever made. From 93 years of age to almost 103, they adapted to Mum's every need. For many years it was taking her out and keeping her engaged with the community, always reliable and on time. The 'end of life' saw
just how adaptable, flexible, caring and thoroughly dependable Home-Instead is. The Care Professionals made Mum's last weeks/days serene and positive. They proactively and warmly guided us through a difficult time, and met all her and our needs. After her passing, they continued to support us in practical ways. I couldn't find warm enough praise for them.

It is difficult to adequately express how outstanding Home Instead were in caring for my mother-in-law.


My mother-in-law, charming and gracious as she was, posed a wide range of significant challenges to Home Instead providing the care which they, and our whole family, so desperately wanted to give

to her.


Despite the countless problems, Home Instead remained utterly committed to making the care programme we had jointly designed work effectively.


Home Instead's manager, worked tirelessly to ensure that the wishes of the family were put into place exactly as requested and showed exemplary initiative on many occasions.


The Care Professionals who attended my mother-in-law were models both of professionalism and, just as importantly kindness. They could not have done more for her and, like the manager, were proactive in what they did.


If we had been paying £1000 a day Home Instead could not have done more.

Having companionship from Home Instead carers, has transformed my sister's life -the effect has been like turning the clock back to happier days; thank you all- I cannot praise you enough.


Throughout the process, staff have been helpful, efficient, professional, friendly, sensitive to the client's

needs and most importantly treated my relative with respect and compassion. Home Instead are skilled in assessing the client's needs and matching them with suitable carers. They keep everyone well informed.


They have enabled my sister-in-law to stay happily in her own home despite suffering a stroke and to regain independence and joy.

I have found the Manager to be efficient in her communication, flexible in making arrangements and thorough in setting up the care plan. It is helpful that members of the care team are introduced gradually and by another member of the team. The carers are always prompt and their daily report covers
what they have done during their visit. This is reassuring to the family when my aunt has dementia and can't recall details. I feel they have been understand and supportive of family

My 90-year-old father had been in hospital and on his return home we had a live-in carer from another company, who on many occasions was found asleep and not tending to dad's needs. We then looked into carers' calls and had heard of Home Instead. From the onset from coming out to assess Dad in his own
home, set a care plan and discussed Dad's needs with us they were extremely professional. Dad had his awkward days, but they were patient, kind and resourceful. Dad was eating very little but they always tried to get him to eat, also leaving cold drinks, biscuits, coffee etc so there was something in case he changed his mind. They made his bed and always left his property clean and tidy, we were always informed of any concerns, we couldn't recommend Home Instead highly enough and will definitely recommend them to anyone needing carers at home. We didn't see any carers who Dad didn't like. Thank you so much, would highly recommend.

Excellent care was provided for my parents. Friendly staff who give my parents good companionship as well as doing jobs for them. They have built up a good relationship with them as it’s the same few staff who visit which gives us peace of mind that their needs are being properly catered for.

From the moment that we contacted Home Instead (HI) the family and my mother-in-law have been provided with exceptional care and service from all at HI. There have been numerous occasions when the carers have gone the extra mile. It is no surprise to us that HI are rated as outstanding by the Care Quality

I was very reluctant to start having care at home for my husband, who has Alzheimer's disease. After being reassured by the management of Home Instead, I started to have a sitting service for a few hours each week to enable me to have a break and spend time with my family. This worked really well, and
my husband was always happy to see them and enjoyed chatting and singing along to his favourite music. As his condition progressed, I started to have daily visits to help with personal care. I can not praise the caregivers enough. They are all so professional and compassionate. Our regular carer is an absolute gem, and we both look upon her as a valued friend, not a carer. I am so pleased I found Home Instead, they are so accommodating, I have had reasons to change some visit times and book extra visits at short notice over the last few months. Every time I am met with a 'no problem' approach, they do their absolute best to facilitate this. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

It is an emotionally challenging time when you are faced with the need to seek care for a much-loved family member. A search online bombards you with advertisements for care support in the community but finding a company that cares as much about the client as they do about the business is a difficult
task. I was in such a predicament when a close friend recommended Home Instead. What a relief! I cannot praise them enough. Every member of staff and management without exception was brilliant, not just with my father but with me and my family. They go out of their way to accommodate your requirements and are flexible to meet your needs. It is no surprise to me that they do not need to advertise their services. They have been a saving grace for our family, stepping in at short notice when we were faced with an emergency situation. I highly recommend Home Instead.

Our experience with Home Instead who looked after my mum up to the period of January 2024 was excellent. The care they provided was exceptional. I can only say positive things about them. They showed great care and compassion towards not only my mother but also to me, they kept us up to date with how
Mum was doing and all I can say is a great big thank you. My mum ended up in hospital and they visited her there showing just as much care and compassion as they had whilst she was at home. My absolute thanks goes out to all the carers who were involved in my mum's care - you were all excellent and there are too many thank yous to thank you all personally.

Can't recommend Home Instead Chesterfield highly enough. We started with a small amount of support for our mum. We didn't think she'd accept the help, she is very independent and proud. Home Instead did an amazing job of getting to know her and using that knowledge to inform their approach to her on
visits. The attention to detail in the care plan is incredible and the care is personalised, respectful, kind, professional and friendly. We currently have four visits a day and we've had nights when needed. Home Instead have been responsive, flexible and supportive during what has been a difficult time. We enjoy them being there when we are there too and we love that they don't wear uniform! A great team and amazing service from the first telephone call to date.

I strongly recommend Home Instead who provide really excellent care. The carers are without exception friendly, caring and professional. The management are responsive and supportive. They have selected carers who they feel will get on well with my father. Except in exceptional circumstances they send
the same few carers so my father has got to know them well and really enjoys their company. Having the app so I can view care visit information is also very helpful.
