I already knew of Home Instead as we had used them before when my Dad was alive and also through my professional role as a Dementia Specialist nurse.So when my husband was very sadly diagnosed with Dementia, it was a no brainer that I would look to Home Instead to provide companionship/respite visits.
My husband was very reluctant at first but now he is in a weekly routine, he enjoys his worker's visits. She always comes with a cheerful , " can do" attitude ( most important when working with people with Dementia) and always with a plan of how they can spend the two hours . He always comes back smiling and says how nice his worker is. That gives me peace of mind, knowing that I can enjoy my free time, knowing that he is having a good time too! I would highly recomnend Home Instead, if you want kindness, compassion and a great standard of care.

An excellent service provided by a wonderful team of carers. Nothing is too much trouble. Prompt replies to emails and requests. I would have no problem recommending them to others. We have been very satisfied with everything from day one.

Both the carers and the office staff are lovely. I can hear the carers talking to my dad which is great. They all also have time for mum and will do anything around the house, which she is so grateful for. I work care agencies in my job so can see that the carers and the staff supporting them are trained
to a high standard, delivery compassionate and thoughtful care.

We are very happy with and very grateful to Home Instead. Mum and Dad have a marvellous team of carers, who are learning to work with them, help them and understand them. I am very grateful to be able to trust such a efficient, effective and kind team. The team are flexible and proactive when Mum
and Dad have a change of meds, or diet or are effected by illness or immobility. It is really nice to see the relationship between Mum and Dad and their carers burgeoning. I love hearing the stories that Mum's told by her carers. Just her thing!!! It is also really easy to contact Home Instead: there's always someone on the end of the phone, text or email.

Home Instead have been looking after my parents for over 2 years. I live over 100 miles from my parents and therefore cannot visit on a daily or weekly basis. The care that the care professionals provide is exceptional and their communication is 6 - such an important feature for family not living nearby.
They treat the clients as if they are family and take the time to really get to know the individual needs of each person. I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

My mum really enjoys the visits from her carers, Olivia and Christine, because they take the time to sit and talk with her, and play cards with her, and show an interest in her. They genuinely care for my mum, rather than just turn up and perform their tasks, because they're paid to do it. It really
makes a difference to my mum, knowing that her care matters to them. I'd also like to give a huge thank you to Suzie for helping to get the right care support in place for my mum.

We have only been using Home Instead for about 3 months - but we are very pleased with the service. My mum and dad are very fond of the carers - 2 in particular, and the advise that myself and my brother have received from the office has been very supportive. There have been several problems with the
medication and conversations with the pharmacy, and it has all been dealt with very efficiently by Home Instead. My brother and I are pleased we have chosen Home Instead to oversee the care and welfare of our parents, when we are not able to be there as often as we wish.

We asked for help from Home Instead when the burden of caring was becoming too great and impacting our own well being. From initial contact back in May 2025 the response was immediate and reassuring, mobilising a care package within a week of our initial inquiry. The initial meeting was thorough
and every effort was made to engage our reluctant relatives and to understand their individual needs, preferences and personalities. The flexibility and responsiveness of the team during a number of emergency situations was amazing, remaining with our relative awaiting an ambulance, until we could get there and take over, and on one occasion waiting into the early hours of the morning to liaise with 111 and for the paramedics to arrive. Planning and preparing for discharge from hospital and coordinating the delivery of equipment was taken care of by the efficient and effective team. Throughout, the communication and liaison with us has been fantastic. I highly recommend this service.

Very good. My dad's carer stayed beyond her allocated time to sort out a new prescription for antibiotics and fit a new battery to his smoke alarm. Always friendly and caring. The carer log helps me see how my dad is doing each day.

My review is not just for May but from the start of care in September 2024. The care has been first rate and especially when my dad needed much more than the original one visit per day. The live in care was exceptional.

I have arranged for Home Instead to look after a number of my clients who wished to be cared for at home and most recently for a friend who was bedbound for the last two years of her life. Her team of professional caregivers visited 4 times a day and overnight. They looked after her, not only with great
professionalism but were also devoted in providing the emotional care and support needed to fulfil her wish to stay in the surroundings she had grown up in. I shall always be immensely grateful to them all.

My wife and I have been using Home Instead Mansfield for the past two years to provide Home Help and Companionship support for my elderly parents. Sadly Mum passed away in March last year leaving Dad on his own for the first time in 72 years. Dad suffers from a form of dementia and still misses Mum
a great deal but takes a good deal of comfort from his team of friendly Care Pros who provide him with friendship and look after his every need. Home Instead is recognised by both Social Services and the Alzheimer's Society for the quality of its dementia training which sets it apart from other care providers. Accordingly, we would strongly recommend this company to anyone looking for a kind, considerate and knowledgeable care provider to help support a loved one suffering from dementia.

Home Instead really do go above and beyond for their clients. From building a dedicated team to work with your loved ones to management attending the visits if for any reason of sickness etc.


Management support you in every manner. The app is also a massive benefit as you can read what's happened

and any issues as soon as the visit is over.


I would have no issue in recommending home instead for your loved ones to keep them in the comfort of their own home.

Home Instead were recommended to me by a friend who had used their services. Initially I needed a care provider to help my aunt whilst I was away on holiday, as between 3 family members we had looked after all my aunts needs for several years. My aunt had been reluctant to accept outside help, so it
was very important to me that the care professionals would make her feel comfortable accepting them into her home.


My aunt really enjoyed the visits and very much liked all the care professionals. So much so, that when I suggested we could ask one carer to begin regular visits, she willingly accepted!
Currently, my aunt has 5 lunchtime visits. The care professionals assist with her having a shower and make her a hot lunch and leave her a sandwich for later.


Nothing is too much trouble for the care professionals or the office team, they really do go above and beyond. My aunt, at the age of 93, is most definitely in safe hands with Home Instead!

I am so glad that the Home Instead Companions have started to visit my mum. They are friendly, professional, caring ladies. Mum really looks forward to their visits. They chat about lots of things and they have currently got her doing a 'Life Journey' book which she is enjoying, remembering her past,
and chronicling it with photos. They also help and assist with the light housework that she wants to do but sometimes struggles with. It can be so hard with work and families but Home Instead have been a breath of fresh air for us, giving us the peace of mind that Mum is safe and not lonely in her own home. With the added security of the app I can also see if there have been any issues during the visit. They are giving mum, at 93, the independence to stay in her bungalow for a bit longer. They really do brighten her days. I cannot praise them enough for the difference they have made.

From the assessment and scheduling to admin, right through to the amazing caring team that came to look after our Aunt and delivered care of the highest quality. Very impressed with all aspects of Home Instead. Carers 1st class. Case manager 1st class. Office staff 1st class. Carers 99% on time and if they were going to be late they would always ring in advance.
Carers were always respectful, caring, kind and compassionate.

The carers who come to the house are very helpful and pleasant to have a chat with. They cook for my father-in-law and clean for him. He is very happy with the service. It is also beneficial for his relatives as it gives us peace of mind.

The service we have received has been excellent. We have used Home Instead for the last four years and not only have they looked after Mum with excellent care, they have also looked after me, as a family member, and been there for me when things have been challenging with Mum. Mum was very fond of many
of the carers and never had a bad word to say about any of them. I was able to work with Home Instead at all times, to adapt the care package to meet Mum's needs over time, through friendly and professional discussions, some of which were outside of working hours and at no point was the service provided compromised in any way.
