Overall Experience

My Dad has been a client of Home Instead for 3 years since the sudden death of my Mum in November 2022. His care plan was put into place very promptly. We as his family had piece of mind he was getting the care he needed. His visits had to be increased as his needs changed and it was never a problem.

Occasionally he had to have a different carer but we were always informed in advance.
Recently when he needed evening care there was 3 occasions when there was no carer to cover. Luckily that hasn't happened since.
His regular carers have been kind and friendly to him and he will miss them as he leaves home instead to go into residential care.
The app was very good to keep in touch and we had piece of mind how he was.

The only negative comments I have are it was frustrating to have to give 2 full weeks notice to cancel a visit or be charged regardless. So plans always had to be done in advance. Also It would have been nice to have the option of a shorter visit ie 30 minutes.

We always want our clients to feel comfortable, so whenever a new Care Professional might need to be introduced, we call first to check if that's okay. If you'd prefer not to have someone new, we completely respect that choice, though this did mean we were unable to cover the three visits you mention as members of your Dad's regular team were unavailable.

Your kind words about our regular Care Professionals mean the world to us, and we know they'll miss him too. Please pass on our very best wishes as he moves into residential care-we hope this next chapter brings him comfort and happiness.

Overall Experience

Home Instead have provided a flexible support package for my sister for the past 2½ years. She had been living on her own but needed increasing help with managing the house and her routine. As time went on her condition deteriorated and she needed a full-time live-in carer who could not only manage

the house but also look after my sister's physical and mental needs. Home Instead provided carers who knew what they were doing and were able to provide a caring, professional support for her. I was kept up-to-date with what was going on through the on-line detailed reporting system. The managers are very accessible and we were regularly able to review what was happening and plan for the future. The professional carers who lived in my sister's house were very respectful and developed good personal relationships which helped her to deal with some of the more challenging situations which occurred. I can't praise them enough.

Overall Experience

It's been great watching my mother develop a friendly relationship with her carer; she looks forward to the visits which include assistance bathing, dressing, grooming and also some light housework. However the most important part has been the conversation she shares with both my parents, and assistance

in activities like crossword puzzling etc. The highly personalised care plan and regular review from a care coordinator is extremely reassuring.

Overall Experience

I have been having Home Instead care since November 2024. I had been in hospital, then a care home, since June of that year. The carers who come, in my case twice a week, are without exception capable, kind and a pleasure to have as helpers. They are willing to undertake whatever needs to be done, whether

in the home or even the garden. I always look forward to their visit.

Overall Experience

The care that Home Instead South Norfolk and East Suffolk have provided has been a huge weight off my mind. Overall Experience

From our very first meeting with a Home Instead coordinator, who visited our house to assess my husbands requirements, we were both treated with great kindness, warmth and consideration. Much time and effort and attention to detail was employed arriving at a personalised plan for my husbands care. The

different members of staff who come each morning to help him, were all in their individual ways, extremely kind, helpful and sympathetic quickly striking up a good rapport, so, that he felt very comfortable in their company. We were both impressed with the overall service that Home Instead provides, often giving over and above the norm and would unhesitantly recommend them to friends/family.

Overall Experience

I hadn't really ever thought care would be like this. The initial discussions to find out about dad's personality and interests as well as his care needs led to a great pairing with a carer who he saw almost exclusively for a few years, bar I think no more than a couple of times when a different carer

had to attend. They seemed to have got on really well and this helped with dads recovery.

Overall Experience

So pleased we found Home Instead, enabling Mum and Dad to stay in their own home where they are happy. Set IP was smooth and we all felt our needs were the priority, I love that Mum and Dad tend to see the same carer most of the time, but they all are lovely, caring and professional. The office staff

are very easy to contact & so helpful, even the newsletter is useful and informative. I'm so pleased we have this support for Mum and Dad.

Overall Experience

Mum's care has been excellent. She bonded well with her carers and enjoyed many chatty coffee mornings. The carers always asked her what she wanted done around the house and tried to encourage her to mix with other people.

Her care with Home Instead has unfortunately come to the end only because

of her health issues and her needs which have become very complex.

I would certainly recommend Home Instead to other people. From the office based staff through to the actual carers all have been very welcoming, supportive and easy to communicate with. Even when we have needed them in an emergency they have not let us down. Thank you

My mum's dementia would have made staying in her own home impossible without a significant and evolving level of support from Home Instead. It has been a huge relief for us to have the support of care professionals that are matched to mum's needs and that she now considers to be her friends. Recently,

a trip out, sharing a cake (or chips!) are examples of small things that they have done for mum that make her experience of care much more rewarding than we could have expected.

The care my Dad received from Home Instead over the last few years has been wonderful. From the care pros to the office ladies - it has been first class. I really felt that they all cared about my Dad and wanted to make his life at home as comfortable and happy as possible. We live 4 hours away from

my Dad - who has dementia - and the App was sometimes our only way to regularly and easily find out how he was. The care pro reports and calls from the office were so important. Many thanks to you all.

I have been receiving care support from Home Instead for two weeks with two carers. Both in their individual ways have given me very personal help and have also been able to assist my wife by helping the domestic situation.
