Overall Experience

Mum, and all the family, are very happy with the excellent service that Mum receives from Home Instead (Mid Cornwall). The care givers are friendly, thoughtful, kind, cheerful and considerate. Nothing is too much trouble, and they are good at using their own initiative to seek out things to do to help

Mum. The care givers always arrive on time, and with a smile.
The office staff have also been excellent, enabling the service provided to be responsive and flexible. Any requests that we have made are soon dealt with and put into practice.
I would have no hesitation in recommending the services provided by Home Instead (Mid Cornwall).

About 3 years ago,we desperately needed to find a care provider for my Mum.Home Instead were the only ones that could provide that care straight away which was a huge relief as I live hundreds of miles away.They quickly made Mum feel at ease and adapted to her specific wants and needs.She was treated

as an individual with absolute respect and kindness.Soon afterwards we needed help for my Dad too and the team at Home Instead bent over backwards to put an extra care package in for Dad as well.My Dad was very resistant to the help initially but their patience, good humour and total empathy put him at ease.They kept us up to date with great communication,reacting and adapting to every little change that occurred with Mum and Dad's needs.Sadly Dad passed away 6 months later but we all felt so supported throughout that time.Home Instead remain with Mum to this day and allow her to remain independent and happy in her own home.Thank you to all the team, but especially Sandra, who's amazing!

Home Instead have put our minds at ease from the very start from enquiring about my grans needs, supplying us with as much information about what they can provide and how they can cater for us best. Nothing was too much trouble for them. When it came to setting up the care plan to suit my grans needs,

every detail was taken care of. We're now a few months down the line and we still cannot fault them. They email us with any queries and never hesitate to call and we all sleep easier at night knowing gran has an excellent care package in place. They are always contactable, even out of hours if we ever need to get hold of them.

Overall Experience

Home Instead (Mid Cornwall) provides truly outstanding care in your own home. All of the carers that work with Mum are very professional and efficient, but also incredibly kind, friendly and sensitive. The care given is very much tailored to the individual and the carers are happy to pitch in wherever

needed. They are totally reliable, always arriving on time, as scheduled. Mum genuinely enjoys the visits, as the carers not only get the job done, but are also lovely people to chat to - there are plenty of laughs! The staff in the office are very helpful and supportive, easy to contact and very flexible when needed. Mum is delighted with the care she is receiving and we would not hesitate to recommend the team.

Overall Experience

The care and attention given to my parents is very good. The care team engage fully with both mum and dad. They cope with my dad's occasional odd sense of humour and both parents are very pleased with the care given. My sisters and I live over 300 miles away and have come to rely on the daily reports

we receive. Any issues we have are dealt with quickly and professionally by the manager and the team. We could not ask for more.

Overall Experience

I remember being daunted and nervous about arranging care for my mum after a fall and a spell in hospital. When I contacted Home Instead I knew I had found the right provider. They understood my mother's needs, were professional and made sure my parents were comfortable with the care that was being

provided. All the carers were excellent, and a delight to get to know. They focused on mum's needs and the daily communication provided me with a full understanding on how she was progressing. After awhile my dad also needed some care which Home Instead provided, at times this was challenging care but all the carers supported mum and dad wonderfully until eventually my parents needs required 24 hour care in a care home. If you are hesitating to contact Home Instead, don't hesitate anymore, you will be pleased and relieved that you made the call.

Overall Experience

Our father has been receiving a comprehensive level of care from Home Instead (HI) for many months now and from my point of view they have been excellent. We are now able to go away and leave our father for short periods of time knowing that Home Instead can be trusted to deliver a high level of service,

support and professionalism. This included the collecting and administering of new medication whist we were away. Their daily tasks involve intimate care, help with dressing, the planning and serving of all his meals, light housework, all his washing and ironing and most importantly companionship.
From our father's point of view he has a consistent team who have really got to know him and who care for his needs in a dignified and professional manner enabling him to remain at home for as long as possible and most importantly they make him laugh.

The care team who looked after my sister in law made a huge difference to her life. They restored her confidence and with visits lasting an hour each time there was no need to rush through each task. The continuity of the carers was well thought out and this also gave me peace of mind. Would certainly

Overall Experience

Home Instead (Mid Cornwall) has been very obliging and helpful since I contacted them for some help with my husbands care. We were visited at home and my husbands needs assessed and a plan made. Great care was taken to ensure that my husband and his carers made a good fit and got on well. When I needed

to increase the hours of help, we were accommodated very quickly. We regularly meet with the manager to check if any changes need to be made and that we are happy with the service. We are more than satisfied and grateful to Home Instead for their professionalism and compassion across the board.

Home Instead (Mid Cornwall) provided reliable, caring support that enabled my brother to live as independently as possible for as long as possible. From the beginning his needs were accurately assessed and the review gave him the confidence to say what he needed rather than forcing suggestions on him.
New

carers were always introduced so that he knew who was coming on a particular day and every carer took the time to talk to him, showing an interest in his stories and what he was doing..
I recommend Home Instead (Mid Cornwall) without reservation.

When we decided to look for a little care for mum we were recommended Home Instead in St. Austell. Mum was really apprehensive and didn't really want any help and especially in her home. We had a trial run and the team came out to assess mums needs, she now looks forward to seeing the carers. They bring

a bit of sunshine to mum's days whether it is first thing in the morning or giving her tea in the evenings. The chats, caring, and assistance is second to none. Mum loves their visits. If anytime we needed to make changes to her care package due to extra needs, everything possible was done to achieve this. It is such a caring company and it helps the family with caring for mum.

Overall Experience

Mum and I have found the care given by Home Instead excellent.
Mum came out of a care home to be cared for in her own home after hip surgery four years ago. Mum is now 99 years old, has carers twice a day and has a lot of help from myself.
The carers have been punctual, genuinely caring, efficient,

adaptable and hard working. They have become friends to Mum and myself. The team remains generally stable and any new carers are carefully supervised in their new role.
Management are helpful and sympathetic, any problems are quickly rectified and we have a regular thorough review.
All care is expensive but this care provider represents good value for money in this market.
This care gives Mum the best quality of life available, maintains her independence in her own home and enables me to spend quality time with Mum.
I thoroughly recommend this company.

Overall Experience

For the past 12 months, Mum has been visited by Home Instead caregivers. I needed help caring for Mum as her dementia progressed and all staff involved have been compassionate, patient and very supportive from the moment I contacted them. Mum was a little apprehensive initially as 'she didn't know them'

but soon got into the routine of the visits and particularly enjoyed their chats with her and having a barrier cream massage!
Due to suffering some falls and then breaking a foot, I reluctantly moved Mum into a care home recently but I will always be so grateful to Home Instead (Mid Cornwall) staff and would definitely recommend them as an option for care.

A wonderful company staffed by professional and kind staff who have made a real impact on the quality of life for my father and mother, as his carer.
Right from the first meeting with the care manager we were impressed and reassured. He took time to get to know my family; what we needed, my father's

interests as well as full health details. At no point were we rushed to sign a contract (unlike other companies we met with!), however once we were ready the carers were rapidly in place.
The company believes in and delivers, a small team approach to care with wonderful, reassuring and knowledgeable carers. They really engage with Dad throughout the sessions, but also keep an eye on Mum. The carers were introduced by the manager in person and we always know who is coming in.
The care package has already been tweaked as needs have changed, but the ease of contact with the manager has meant that changes to the level of care are seamless.
A massive thank you from all the family.

We have used Home Instead for 4 years and extended the hours of care over this period to meet Mum's increased needs. The team have always been wonderfully flexible and accommodating and complimented each other well to ensure that Mum remained happy and content in her own beloved home.
Sadly we recently

lost Mum and I will have eternal gratitude for the end-of-life care she received from Home Instead.
