We did a lot of research on the services available before selecting Home Instead to support mum. We definitely feel that we made the right choice. Mum is so happy with the member of staff who provides her care and support, and we feel confident that mum is in really safe and capable hands.

we've had contact with has been really helpful and supportive, and we wouldn't hesitate in recommending Home Instead.

I was not happy with the care company the council had placed me with so I decided to look for a private care provider. I liked the look of Home Instead and after a visit from Debbie, the Client Experience Manager, I knew I had made the correct decision. Debbie was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable;
she answered any queries that I had. The management of the company is first class; the staff are friendly, approachable and efficient and it is clear that they have a good caring relationship with their team of carers, the important people who deliver the service. I have a small team of carers who visit me, each of whom was introduced to me beforehand. Everybody is friendly, caring and competent and with a full hour visit there is no rushing and there's time for a chat. Of course, high quality care has a price and choosing Home Instead is a relatively expensive decision. However, care is a long-term necessity and high quality care enhances quality of life, that's worth spending money on

The carers who attend my mother are genuinely lovely, thoughtful and helpful people. They have her sole consideration in mind and look after her needs extremely well. They take her out of the home to help keep her socialised, to attend appointments or go shopping. Communication with the family is excellent
and reviews are regularly undertaken. My mother looks forward to her visits very much.

I first engaged the services of Home Instead in July 2024. Over a year later, and the lovely care professionals that look after my parents are considered friends of the family, providing high quality, respectful care for my father who has dementia/Alzheimer's and companionship for my mother. Home
Instead provide a service for people who wish to stay in their own home for as long as possible and they have certainly achieved this for my parents. A comprehensive brief was initially taken, and the care professionals were allocated to best suit our needs. Each carer has taken the time to develop a trusted relationship with the family in difficult circumstances and I personally will be eternally grateful for the kindness, empathy and professionalism provided by all at Home Instead. I have no hesitation at all in highly recommending them.

Mam has been supported by Home Instead for over two years now. She has a lovely relationship with her care professionals, all of whom know her so well and care for her with dignity, empathy and compassion.
Mam's needs have evolved over the last two years quite considerably but her team have proactively
managed this, tweaking her care plan where necessary to ensure that the same high level of care has been maintained and delivered.
Knowing that Mam is being so well cared for gives me such reassurance and peace of mind. It has provided me with space to ensure my family life hasn't been negatively impacted. The support I have received from both Mam's Care Professionals and the Field Care Supervisors has been exceptional.
As we now embark on a period of live in care for Mam, whilst I am away from home for a while, I just wanted to say thank you, to you all, for everything you do for us.

It is incredibly difficult to find care companies which have achieved an Outstanding CQC rating & have maintained it as Home Instead has done since 2018.


From my very first enquiry with the company, to meeting the manager & care team, I was truly impressed. Meetings have been promptly arranged and

queries responded to. All carers looking after my friend attended an introductory meeting with him, tour of the home and gained an understanding of my friend's needs. A weekly schedule of carers is provided in advance so that we can pin it up.


The care team has taken the time to get to know my friend, as well as meeting all of his personal care needs. They have cooked him his favourite meals, cleaned his bathroom & kitchen, sorted out his bedroom/clothing, & engaged with him on a personal level. We literally could not ask for anything more as the highest standards of care in all areas are being delivered.


I have absolutely no hesitation in unreservedly recommending this company.

We have been delighted with the service provided, the staff are incredibly helpful, attentive and responsive. The carers are friendly, caring and strive to help. They have been adaptive and struck up a lovely friendship with mum. Would highly recommend.

From the moment I enquired about homecare for my elderly relative, I received friendly, informed, appropriate & relevant advice from the team at Home Instead. The carers who were matched up for my relative had a variety of backgrounds & previous experience, but all were attentive, caring, professional
and determined to provide a service of the highest quality and always with a smile. The Home Instead team in the office & in the residential environment enabled us to keep my relative in her own home, which made a huge difference to her wellbeing & our peace of mind. Fantastic service! Thank you.

Both my parents have built a strong relationship with their carer who understands and supports their needs extremely well - the visits are an essential part of their week both meeting my mother's care needs in her home and taking her to visit my Dad who is in now in a care home. The carer helps them
holistically as a couple to cope and keep enjoying life and is not only a carer but a very good friend

We have found Home Instead to be completely reliable and efficient from the enquiry stage onwards.
They listened well to our requirements and still do when we make any changes to the weekly programme.
The carers have been excellent and complete the full hour slots. They arrive on time and don't rush
away early.
Any issues arising on the day result in a phone call (or email if I am not answering) to put me in the picture.
Any emails I have sent to them have been answered promptly
At £34 an hour it is not the cheapest provider but well worth the money and my sisters and I would not hesitate to recommend the company to anyone else.

Home instead have provided an excellent service for my client which has tangibly improved his quality of life and his wellbeing. Our first entry into the world of carers, what a good choice Home Instead has proved to be. Thorough in their arrangement of our requirements and assimilation of our interests, the delivery of the care we require has been first class. The small team selected to care for my wife have treated her with
dignity whilst maintaining a close and friendly relationship, chatting away as they carry out their tasks. We have never been let down by non-attendance and punctuality has been exemplary. Finally, communication with HQ is good, with information and updates flowing freely by either email or telephone.

The visits of Home Instead carers have made a positive difference to my very independent Mum who reluctantly agreed to 'give it a try' last June. Their role is simply to help Mum shower, wash her hair, to get dressed and ready for the day ahead. In the hour they are with her, they have made every effort
to get to know Mum and what she is interested in and I overhear them chatting and laughing away. Home Instead only ever sends carers who Mum has met and with whom she feels entirely comfortable. Each one has shown her great dignity, kindness and competence and they are always punctual whatever the traffic or weather. I live some distance away and have really appreciated the written reports I can see online after each visit - it makes me feel reassured and connected. The service thus far has been exemplary and I have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead.

It is difficult to put into words how much we appreciate everything Home Instead have done for my sister and our family. They were able to increase visits, including overnight, almost immediately. They had a fabulous team who would visit regularly and introducing anyone new was done with care and thought.
The carers wrote on the Portal and in my sister's diary, keeping the family up to date on a daily basis. We certainly got the impression from their notes that they enjoyed visiting her.
We all enjoy my sister's company as she has a lovely sense of humour. We will not forget the Home Instead Team and the care, kindness and giggles given to her. We know she enjoyed time with all the carers and will miss them; we will, as we felt very looked after too.
Many thanks to all at Home Instead. We can certainly recommend them as being cared for at home is always preferable.

Home Instead are a huge source of support to my mam but also to myself.
Their level of understanding and empathy is excellent along with their supportive ways of making a big difference in managing and caring for my mam.
I would like to mention her carers who work extremely hard in building trust
and companionship with mam, focusing on medication and meals, their comprehensive report offers great insight into mam's behaviours. The lady in the office is both professional and understanding making sure I'm kept up to date and her calmness and empathy are a huge support to me.

Home Instead provide reliable and thoughtful care for my mother. We get advance notice of the schedule of visitors which means that she knows who she is going to see on any given day.
The office staff are always helpful and understanding and we all feel that the care provision is very much tailored
to the specific needs of the individual rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
I would not have any hesitation at all in recommending Home Instead to anyone looking for help to stay in their own home.

Home Instead in Newcastle looked after my dad while we were in the area for the weekend. I wanted to do a running event and also had a work lunch, and the carer provided care and companionship for Dad so I didn't need to worry.
My dad uses Home Instead where he lives and they are brilliant, they
put me in touch with their colleagues in a different branch and passed on his information. Without Home Instead, my dad's life would be a lot less happy and I would be more worried.
