We were looking for a short term care provider and wanted one with credentials. We found Home Instead on the Age Concern website and it ticked all the boxes. We were impressed from the start when two preliminary home visits to meet my husband were friendly, reassuring, thorough and geared towards his
needs. While I was away my husband had a dedicated care team looking in to make sure he was OK, offering companionship so he didn't feel isolated and providing assistance with medication and any light duties. The carers were diligent, polite, friendly and dedicated with a care of duty that averted what could have been a medical problem had they not been there. They put my husband first, kept me informed, extended their hours to ensure he was not in any danger and gave me total peace of mind as I could not rush back that day. They are exceptional and not only will I use them again, I have no hesitation recommending them to anyone thinking of short or longterm care at home for a loved one.

Home Instead have been an indispensable part of my life for 3 years. Initially helping my VERY reluctant Mum with every day chores to eventually just providing companionship. Dementia took away Mum's independence and when she had to move into a Care Home we kept up the Care Pro visits as Mum enjoyed
seeing a familiar face. Mum was ALWAYS pleased to see two particular carers, and I very much appreciated the one to one support they offered. From the very beginning, the initial creation of a care plan, the unscheduled visits to hospital while I was on holiday, the professionalism of a staff member in scheduling appropriate visiting times and the endless videos Mum's 'girls' have watched with her, all I can say is Thank You....I couldn't have done it without you.

We started using Home Instead in April 2024 initially for helping shower my father. The carers were lovely and were always happy and friendly. A few month's ago we needed to urgently increase the care to include my mother. Home Instead were amazing and immediately organised carers to cover a much more
complicated situation. All the carers have been so kind, understanding and compassionate. They spend time not just dealing with the general needs of my parents but also interact with them which is wonderful. The management team are just amazing - nothing is too much. I can highly recommend Home Instead.

My family was recently placed in a situation where my mother and father needed urgent care at their home. Within 24 hours of our call to Home Instead, we were able to have a face to face meeting with Home Instead, discussing all available options. The next day, we were able to welcome a carer into our
family home to assist my parents. Without this being in place, my family would have been in a very difficult situation. I have been so impressed by Home Instead, not just the conclusive care that they have provided my parents, but the tenacity, compassion and warmth of the management team in a very difficult situation. Despite the challenging situation we were in, two staff members in particular, worked incredibly hard to find us an optimal outcome, staying in touch throughout and making adjustments to our care plan as needed. I couldn't recommend Home Instead any more, they are brilliant. They have made such a positive impact on our family.

I have been delighted to have found Home Instead. They are providing ongoing live in care to my elderly parents and also respite care for my physically disabled husband and we wouldn't be without them.


The service for the very clients with different needs and expectations is superb - client focused,

flexible, responsive. The carers are great and really well supported by their managers- who also support me, which is really helpful. And they link in well with other services so that it's a good joined up approach for their clients. And any problems are swiftly resolved.


I highly recommend Home Instead.

My sister had really good care and companionship from 2 carers in the last 6 months from home instead she was very reluctant to admit she needed help in the house and transport to the shops and garden centre she loved her plants and garden and they willingly accompanied her
The last few months were
quite traumatic for her and the carers were really supportive.
She passed away at the weekend and we can only say thank you for the kind service your carers gave to her over the time she had left .

We are very grateful to Home Instead for their care and support that our mum has received over the past year. She has always been a strongly independent lady and the thought of people coming into her home filled her with dread. She finally realised that she needed support when everyday tasks were becoming
increasingly difficult for her. From the first introduction by the care manager, who explained all available options and created a health care plan, to the daily visits from the care pros, the service has been professional and person centred. Mum has a great rapport with all her 'ladies' and looks forward to their visits, including trips out to coffee shops and support to medical appointments and the hairdresser. This had brought such relief to my sister and I, knowing that mum is content, well cared for and treated with dignity, as we both live some distance away. We are always kept informed by the team of any issues or concerns and know that there is always someone to speak to.

Home Instead have been helping us for over 2 years with the ever-changing care needs of my parents, who suffered a serious heart attack and stroke just weeks apart. From the start, I was struck by the warmth, professionalism and adaptability of the team. They acted quickly and put bespoke care in place
without delay. Over time, they've become a reassuring presence through hospital stays, emergencies and ongoing care-always responsive and flexible, even arranging live-in care at very short notice. The staff are consistently kind, respectful and cheerful, and treat my parents with genuine care and compassion. Their positivity has lifted our spirits during some very difficult times. Special thanks to the staff and one in particular who came with little notice to stay with my father. You've made such a difference and we're so grateful.

We needed overnight care for my mother who has been bed bound for the previous couple of months and was active during the night. Home Instead understood the particular requirements of the brief, which were not straightforward, and provided highly professional and very pleasant carers at short notice.
They were also flexible. It was not complicated to complete the forms and were able to get the support very quickly.
Those involved in my mother's care gained great confidence in their abilities and wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future.

Home Instead looked after our blind mum for almost a year enabling her to remain at home. Their care was excellent; supportive and kind, respectful and trustworthy. The team were able to support us with providing the best care and liaising with other care professionals where they had more clout for

My siblings and I have been very impressed with and grateful for the support that the whole Home Instead team have provided for our mother over the last two years. They were professional, knowledgeable, proactive and supportive throughout the period they provided care for our mother. They were very
responsive when the care provided for Mum needed to be increased, and incredibly helpful dealing with doctors, pharmacists and others in the overall care system. The carer who led our relationship, was excellent throughout, and the care pros who looked after Mum day to day did so with great care and attention.

I just wanted to thank Home Instead colleagues for an amazing quality of service - generally over many years but especially over the last few weeks when my Mother has needed extra support. Home Instead have been there for her, and are so caring. It is reassurance for us as a family to know that my Mother
is safe and being care for so well by a professional team, given we live at a distance. Recently when Mum needed extra care visits due to a fall Home Instead colleagues sorted this within hours and then visited Mum to check she was happy with the arrangements. They also were able to call in other health care professional rapidly when Mum needed to see additional nursing care.

The Homeinstead team have been looking after my elderly mum for well over a year, until mum had to go into full time care. They all worked together as a team to ensure the very best care. The office team respond quickly and professionally including keeping us up to date. We especially valued the App
which records comments updates for each visit. Those who came to mums home offered a high standard of care. They coped well with whatever happened - finding mum on the floor after a fall more than once and extending the care she needed as she became more frail. The carers always arrived on time and if a carer was off sick a replacement, who mum knew, was always found. It is a tough job looking after frail elderly clients who often become very poorly. It was a very sad day for my mum to go into care knowing that she wouldn't see the team again. Whilst in hospital several carers came to visit her which she really appreciated.

I appreciate this opportunity to recognise the excellent support that the homecare ladies have provided me during the first critical weeks after my operation. They have displayed unfailing empathy and kindness and each day I have looked forward to their visits which are both reliable and moral boosting.
They have provided immediate personal care as needed from time to time and thanks to their interest and professionalism I am making a quick recovery. From the first meeting with the care team to set up a care plan for my father who was diagnosed with rapid onset Alzheimer's/Dementia they have been amazing. My father's carers have been so professional and caring in guiding my father on this journey. Living overseas certainly has its challenges when
helping an elderly parent. They have been wonderful in keeping me informed on everything and also guiding me when I have not been familiar with how some facets of the health care system work in the UK.

Mum and I are very happy with the service provided by Home Instead. A carer comes in once a day to assist Mum to wash and dress. In addition, they encourage and support her in performing exercises given by an NHS physio to aid her recovery from a nasty fall. Everyone from the office staff to carers
have been professional, kind, empathetic and helpful in trying to meet our requirements. The carers have all been punctual, and thorough with lovely personalities that provide a little ray of sunshine in the morning. Thank you to everyone who has been involved in my Mum's care.

The manager along with both live-in carers arranged to allow my friend to be at home which was his wish.
Unfortunately, he ultimately had to go to a local home but he enjoyed being home and it was only possible due to the manager's dedication to her job.
