Home Instead (Reading) have been supporting my elderly mother for over 2 years and provide an invaluable service that enables me to continue working. They have been responsive to changes that we have made over time and all the carers we have encountered have shown a genuine desire to deliver a high quality service, for which we are very grateful. They engage positively with my mother and are kind and thoughtful.
Thank you for those gracious words. We are delighted to be able to support your mother, enabling her to continue living safely in her own home.
We will ensure your mother's carers are alerted and will thank them personally on your behalf

Excellent service from the Home Instead team, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. The whole team are helpful and accommodating, especially liasing with other healthcare professionals and they have taken good care of both my parents, managing their changing needs with kindness and practical help. Compared to the previous service my dad had on being discharged from hospital, this is night and day. It makes a huge difference knowing I can trust them to look after my parents and know they are being properly cared for. Thank you!
Thank you for taking the time to post a review of our service. Your comments are deeply appreciated by me and all of the team. I will let the carers that visit your parents know of your kind words.
Thank you again
Such a kind, helpful and professional company. Going through rapid change with my dad and nothing was too much trouble to help support him. The communication system is excellent and everything I asked for was implemented immediately. The emotional support I received was invaluable as I navigated the need for home help for my dad which rapidly became 24hr care and into a care home.
Dear RC, Thank you for your kind words, they mean so much to us all. The people who visited and supported your father are the real heroes. I will ensure they get the recognition they deserve.
Excellent service, enjoy the company of all the care professionals that come to see me. A valuable service that I wouldn't be without. Nothing is too much trouble.
Thank you for your wonderful review. Your carers really love spending time with you and helping you to enjoy a fulfilling life here in your own home in Reading. I will make sure that your comments are sent their way with my grateful thanks for their commitment to you.
Home Instead looked after our blind mum for almost a year enabling her to remain at home. Their care was excellent; supportive and kind, respectful and trustworthy. The team were able to support us with providing the best care and liaising with other care professionals where they had more clout for further safeguarding.
Thank you for your kind words which are deeply appreciated. We all thoroughly enjoyed helping to support your mother and wish her well.
I am a service user and have been for a few years now. I have been happy with the service provided but find change difficult. I prefer the same carer. I like having a visit once a day for my personal needs (which are met).
Thank you for your comments and thoughts. They are, as always deeply appreciated.
I just wanted to thank Home Instead colleagues for an amazing quality of service - generally over many years but especially over the last few weeks when my Mother has needed extra support. Home Instead have been there for her, and are so caring. It is reassurance for us as a family to know that my Mother is safe and being care for so well by a professional team, given we live at a distance. Recently when Mum needed extra care visits due to a fall Home Instead colleagues sorted this within hours and then visited Mum to check she was happy with the arrangements. They also were able to call in other health care professional rapidly when Mum needed to see additional nursing care.
We all are extremely fond of your mother and are proud to have supported her and her family over the last few years. Many thanks for taking the trouble to post your thoughts. I will ensure that my colleagues and all of the care professional team are thanked on your behalf.
I appreciate this opportunity to recognise the excellent support that the homecare ladies have provided me during the first critical weeks after my operation. They have displayed unfailing empathy and kindness and each day I have looked forward to their visits which are both reliable and moral boosting. They have provided immediate personal care as needed from time to time and thanks to their interest and professionalism I am making a quick recovery. They are unfailingly kind, thoughtful and good company. Nothing has been too much trouble for them. I wish to give them the highest recommendation and continued success in the future. Thank you all.
Dear Veronica, thank you for your kind words, they are deeply appreciated. We are delighted that you are now recovered and back up and about following your surgery. We were happy to support you in your rehab journey. Kind regards.
Thank goodness for Home Instead. I have landed on my feet with that, in what is a process that is broken. There is no communication between pre and post-hospital and so you are in the dark about what to do. The staff to all the carers have been amazing. Kind, compassionate, reliable. They have bent over backwards to help my step mum and my family in what has been a stressful time. They have taken over the project management and most of the stress. Thanks to you all for your help.
Your kind words are deeply appreciated. I will pass on your thanks to the care professionals and wider team that support your stepmother. Many thanks, Philip Keohane
I needed help with my mum as I was working full-time. She had COPD and was getting more demanding of me. I called into Home Instead, and from the very first meeting, I felt a weight lift ogg my shoulders. Eventually, Mum agreed to help, and I noticed a difference in Mum, she had a new face to look at and chat to. The whole team were very professional from start to finish. If it wasn't for them, I'm not sure what I would have done. Thank you for a fantastic service.
Thank you for your kind words. I will make sure our care professionals are made aware of them. Regards.
The carers who have come to me have been pleasant and helpful and have always cleared me up. I do however find the service expensive.
Thank you for your kind response. I will let the carers who visit you know that you are happy with them. Regards.
Following a full and fracturing my wrist, I was in need of help to cope with normal daily tasks. A friend referred me to home care and they tendered me all necessary care and assistance.
Thank you for your kind words which I have passed on to the carers that assisted you.
I was strongly advised by the nurse to seek help in getting my wife up in the mornings to relieve the stress I was feeling due to the repetitive nature of the attention to my wife's needs. Home Instead took on that role, with immediate and continuing effect. I am grateful to all the carers and the admin staff. I shall recommend Home Instead to anyone I meet who needs the same help.
Dear JW. Thank you for taking the trouble to submit a review. Your kind words have been shared with the carers who visit. They deserve all of the thanks for doing a fine job in supporting you and your wife.
I am so impressed with the field supervisors and the care manager. I have organised daily care for my father with their endless help, guidance, kindness and patience. A stressful and difficult situation has been taken care of by them and nothing is too much trouble.
Thank you for your kind words which have been shared with my colleagues. We look forward to continue supporting both your father and mother in their daily routines.
Very well organised company with first class staff in the field and in the administration section.
Thank you for your kind words. I have passed these on to my team of Care Professionals on your behalf.

Everyone I have spoken to has been polite, friendly and helpful. My mother really likes her carers and it has been enormously helpful to me to have someone else looking out for her and helping her. She seems much happier since your staff have been visiting.
Regards.
Human resources is very good at matching the carers to the patient. My carer it meticulous and patient and I could not wish for a better.
Thank you Michael for your kind words which I have relayed to your care professional on your behalf.
Home Instead provided a very caring and professional service for my mother for several years and with their support, she was able to live independently at home. The communications with the office were always helpful and supportive. They communicated any concerns with helpful advice, including, for example, photos of bruising/bites/areas of concern which I was able to forward to the GP. The caregivers were very helpful and friendly. They were efficient in their duties and made time to chat with Mum, do the crossword together etc. Which she really appreciated. Mum went to the hospital due to a fall, and during her recuperation Home Instead came out to her assess her and devised a plan to get her home more quickly and care for her at home, as was her wish.
Thank you for your kind words Peter. Our team at Home Instead are appreciative of your comments
Far reaching, in-depth, satisfactory
Many thanks for your wonderful review. We all take immense satisfaction from assisting you in your day-to-day living and 100% appreciate your kindness towards the whole team. Warmest regards.

Meet the Team (2)
Prior to becoming a Home Instead owner here in Reading in 2011, I had previously worked in and around the healthcare sector for over 10 years. The poor experiences that my parents had with caring for my father in the family home lead me to believe that there must be a better way of supporting people to continue living meaningful lives at home. Home Instead’s vision of what good care should look like mirrors my own personal values so the last 10 years have been a truly gratifying experience.
We have a fantastic team of Care Professionals that I am immensely proud of. They share a common desire to support our clients as individuals, giving them the best care possible. They in turn are supported by an enthusiastic and well-led team of supervisors, administrators, and care management.
Here in Reading, Home Instead has been operating under my stewardship for over 10 years. We are firmly embedded within the local community, supporting other organisations such as the Reading Dementia Action Alliance, local community projects and Tilehurst Bowls Club where we are a sponsor and trough that hold activities which our clients and their family carers attend.
Sarah brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role of Care Manager. She will undoubtedly be the first person you will meet when you contact Home Instead Reading to talk about care
