We started using Home Instead in April 2024 initially for helping shower my father. The carers were lovely and were always happy and friendly. A few month's ago we needed to urgently increase the care to include my mother. Home Instead were amazing and immediately organised carers to cover a much more
complicated situation. All the carers have been so kind, understanding and compassionate. They spend time not just dealing with the general needs of my parents but also interact with them which is wonderful. The management team are just amazing - nothing is too much. I can highly recommend Home Instead.

My family was recently placed in a situation where my mother and father needed urgent care at their home. Within 24 hours of our call to Home Instead, we were able to have a face to face meeting with Home Instead, discussing all available options. The next day, we were able to welcome a carer into our
family home to assist my parents. Without this being in place, my family would have been in a very difficult situation. I have been so impressed by Home Instead, not just the conclusive care that they have provided my parents, but the tenacity, compassion and warmth of the management team in a very difficult situation. Despite the challenging situation we were in, two staff members in particular, worked incredibly hard to find us an optimal outcome, staying in touch throughout and making adjustments to our care plan as needed. I couldn't recommend Home Instead any more, they are brilliant. They have made such a positive impact on our family.

I have been delighted to have found Home Instead. They are providing ongoing live in care to my elderly parents and also respite care for my physically disabled husband and we wouldn't be without them.


The service for the very clients with different needs and expectations is superb - client focused,

flexible, responsive. The carers are great and really well supported by their managers- who also support me, which is really helpful. And they link in well with other services so that it's a good joined up approach for their clients. And any problems are swiftly resolved.


I highly recommend Home Instead.

We needed overnight care for my mother who has been bed bound for the previous couple of months and was active during the night. Home Instead understood the particular requirements of the brief, which were not straightforward, and provided highly professional and very pleasant carers at short notice.
They were also flexible. It was not complicated to complete the forms and were able to get the support very quickly.
Those involved in my mother's care gained great confidence in their abilities and wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future.

During the period I have cared for my mother, I have engaged various home care providers. Home Instead (Maidenhead, Henley & Wallingford) has been the most supportive and efficient by far. Their caregivers are exceptional, and their office team is professional, dedicated, and consistently helpful.
Home
Instead ensures a reliable schedule and assigns the same caregivers at the same time each week. They match caregivers to clients thoughtfully, rather than filling schedules randomly. My mother, who has moderate to severe Alzheimer's, receives excellent personal care from capable, friendly, and empathetic caregivers.
Caring for a parent with dementia is physically demanding and emotionally challenging, and I am immensely grateful for the support and respite Home Instead provides several times a week. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

Home Instead were always on hand to give my late father all the support and attention he needed in his last days at home. The carers who visited were devoted to my dad and my mum.
Personalised care is never an afterthought and I always felt safe leaving my parents in the care of Home Instead whenever
I left theirs after visiting. Their carers are also I feel part of the family and a huge support to family members such as myself.

Staff that work with my son are all lovely, kind and caring. Office staff are nice, always friendly, helpful and keep me updated if there is a change to my son’s care. Nothing is too much trouble. My son is happy with the support he receives and gets on well with the staff.

My aunt who lives alone and has mixed dementia was adamant that she didn’t want any support or care for herself. The team were exceptionally patient, kind and persistent in encouraging her to accept help. The care and support she has received have been exceptional and my aunt now looks forward to her
daily visits from “her friends” and she is so much happier. The team have stepped in to help out in times of crisis when she has fallen and had to go to hospital. I live a distance away, and it has given me comfort to know how well-supported my aunt is, which in turn, allows her to stay in her own home.

Home Instead provides an excellent caregiver service to my mother. They are extremely diligent and very flexible when needed. They also provide great communication. All of the caregivers are professional and thoughtful. We feel that they are more like partners in the care of our mother.

Mum had long been resistant about getting support, worrying about losing her independence. Home Instead’s manager managed the process skillfully and sensitively - from initial meetings with Mum at home, getting to know her and exploring what support she might find helpful, to matching her thoughtfully
with a carer whom she could readily connect with.
“What took me so long?!” commented Mum after her carer’s first visit. My sister and I are delighted and relieved that the transition has gone so well. Pushing 90, Mum now admits that her support needs will change over time, and recognises the significance of having someone she feels comfortable with in her home. The carer is wonderful - patient, kind, with a lovely sense of humour and Mum really looks forward to her visits.

The Home Instead Team visited my parents during lockdown, supporting my Mum who was caring for my Dad who has dementia. The care, support and friendship that they offered was truly outstanding with the carers becoming more like friends over this period, often going above and beyond. For this reason,
we had no hesitation in continuing with a reduced level of care for Mum when Dad went into a care home.
Her carers have again been terrific, helping her with some of the more tricky jobs around the home. She really looks forward to a friendly chat with her lovely carer and we will definitely turn to Home Instead if we find that Mum need more support in the future.

Home Instead have provided a very good service to my mother since August last year.
The same three carers have been attending Mum throughout that time with very little variation at all. This has enabled relationships to develop between Mum and her carers.
Mum’s needs have altered recently and Home
Instead have been able to flex their provision, changing times and days with 2 weeks' notice.
The support from Home Instead managers and the office team has been very good. They are easy to talk to and always return calls promptly.

Home Instead has been providing home care to my mother for 18 months now. The care team is excellent, it is good that it is a small allocated team of caregivers that see my mum, as it means she has been able to get to know them and they her. My mum has always been treated with dignity and respect. The
head office team at Home Instead are very responsive and the carer scheduling is run very efficiently, so if a carer is off sick or on leave another member of my mum's team will automatically be organised to stand in. Equally, on odd occasions where we have needed some extra support, this has been arranged.
