Home Instead have been providing excellent care to our father for a number of years. The office and management team are superb at keeping us informed at all times and have been faultless in accommodating requests even at very short notice. Over the years father's requirements have changed and the team have been there to support us every step of the way.
For some time my mother (aged 97) has had Home Instead, providing overnight care and assistance with meals during the day. A few weeks ago my mother had a fall and broke her arm. Quite traumatic at aged 97. From this moment onwards and likely to be for some time yet she has needed 24-hour care and Home Instead have been able to provide this. An absolutely brilliant service and it was immediately there when desperately needed.
Home Instead will not let you down. I have used their services twice, the first was last year when my mum was about to be released from hospital and I did not know how I would manage. Within hours they arrived to complete an assessment, all the paperwork and had a plan in place to start the next day. They cared, literally. A fabulous team of 3 managed by a wonderful lady. I am currently using Home Instead to visit my mother in her Nursing Home on companion visits twice a week. This is proving invaluable for Mum who has dementia, almost deaf and does not see well, to have regular one-to-one chat and companionship. This is a huge relief to me as I do not live locally. They are always available on the phone, everyone is efficient and understanding. I don't generally 'do' reviews but I cannot recommend them highly enough.
I have been extremely pleased and impressed with Home Instead. We were only looking for a companionship visit once a week for my father for now and we had tried several agencies who were not able to accommodate this. But Home Instead have such a refreshing 'can do' mentality. This was no problem for them and neither was us adding on additional ad hoc visits, including ones at weekends. My sister and I really appreciate having an agency such as Home Instead to support us in caring for my father.
There is always a phone call if there are any issues to be discussed and there is a regular meeting to discuss additional requirements due to Mum's condition.
My sister and I feel very supported by the team who look after Mum who at times can be demanding. It is a great weight off our shoulders.
Home Instead have provided a care giver for me for the last 4 months. Right from my first introduction their care has been excellent, they are very careful to match the care giver to the client. The only reason that I am no longer employing them is because I now need full time, live in care. I shall be sorry to say goodbye to my Home Instead care givers.
We have been using Home Instead for 16 months now, during this time Mum's care needs have changed and increased. The Home Instead office staff and visiting caregivers have been fantastic, working with us to understand Mum's cognitive changes and develop a solid team to support us keeping her happy at home. We have been able to keep consistent carers who have demonstrated levels of commitment, integrity and genuine caring friendship towards our Mum. We have been very impressed with the team and office support staff in recent months when we've had some challenging issues to deal with. Liaison with the office to make changes and update care needs is efficient, timesheet and invoice accuracy is excellent. Ultimately though our praise is for the quality of our four caregivers who provide such a wonderful level of care across a range of roles/duties, understanding and supporting Mum.
This is the first experience of home care we have had and it has been superb on all counts.
Thank you Home Instead, it's truly a minefield out there when looking for Carers but your support and care has been amazing.
The service provided was excellent and we could not fault anything. Our Mother received excellent care and the carers not only cared for her but ensured the rest of family were coping as well. I would highly recommend the service we received to anyone else in the same situation. All carers went above and beyond their duties.
The home care by two carers at present for my mum is outstanding. The care provided goes "above and beyond" in my opinion and ensures Mum is able to remain in her own flat, keeping independence. So grateful.
Our company has been commissioned by the solicitor holding an EPA for our client to ensure that her care needs were met and to oversee her care arrangements. Our client has dementia and we came to Home Instead, Maidenhead when the existing care provider, at short notice, was unable to provide care cover. The directors responded immediately at a weekend and ensured that all the necessary paperwork was with us to be forwarded to the Attorney on the Monday morning. The director arranged to undertake an urgent care assessment and provided very experienced and well-trained carers to cover the care gaps. Their carers have provided outstanding care in a sensitive and gentle way. I have also been impressed by the carers' attention to detail and, although it was known that this was a very short term assignment, their diligence in bringing care and home issues to my attention.
From the very beginning, you have made it so easy and filled the whole family with confidence which has taken away a lot of our worries at a time when Mum had lost her confidence and at 88 has ensured Mum keeps her independence and has regained her confidence. The fantastic service is allowing Mum to stay in her house on her own and we know how precious this is.
I had a very young person in her place and needed somebody more experienced. Pleased to say I have been very pleased with the person. At present, I have a very hard working caring person helping me.
Great people/service/organisation. Cannot fault anything they allow me not to worry about my mum and always flexible if needed.
I could not hope for better care. My carers are so friendly and not "pushy!"
I have always found carers who have come to help us helpful, caring and very pleasant.
I have found the managers and carers to be polite, respectful, helpful and efficient.
My mother very much enjoys her companionship visits.
Home Instead do exactly what we wanted them to do - provide support and ensure all is well on days when I do not visit. The carer has established a very good personal relationship with Father, and I have peace of mind. All in all, a very good, reliable service.
The management team is always helpful and work to find creative solutions as I live out of the country and having met all parties, I am fully confident that my relative is being well looked after.
