Home Instead Mansfield are a local team, passionate about keeping people in their own homes in Mansfield and the surrounding villages.

Home is where the heart is and providing companionship, home help, personal care and Dementia care in a person's home makes people safe and comfortable in familiar surroundings.

Care Professionals receive in-depth training before meeting their clients, and also have the opportunity to attend specialist training and access to qualifications throughout their career with Home Instead. Home Instead match the Care Professional to the client based on interests and hobbies. No uniforms are worn but an enhanced DBS check is undertaken and four references are provided.

The team use what they call the 'Mum Test', providing care that they would expect for their own Mums!

We are very happy with and very grateful to Home Instead. Mum and Dad have a marvellous team of carers, who are learning to work with them, help them and understand them. I am very grateful to be able to trust such a efficient, effective and kind team. The team are flexible and proactive when Mum
and Dad have a change of meds, or diet or are effected by illness or immobility. It is really nice to see the relationship between Mum and Dad and their carers burgeoning. I love hearing the stories that Mum's told by her carers. Just her thing!!! It is also really easy to contact Home Instead: there's always someone on the end of the phone, text or email.

Home Instead have been looking after my parents for over 2 years. I live over 100 miles from my parents and therefore cannot visit on a daily or weekly basis. The care that the care professionals provide is exceptional and their communication is 6 - such an important feature for family not living nearby.
They treat the clients as if they are family and take the time to really get to know the individual needs of each person. I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

My mum really enjoys the visits from her carers, Olivia and Christine, because they take the time to sit and talk with her, and play cards with her, and show an interest in her. They genuinely care for my mum, rather than just turn up and perform their tasks, because they're paid to do it. It really

We asked for help from Home Instead when the burden of caring was becoming too great and impacting our own well being. From initial contact back in May 2025 the response was immediate and reassuring, mobilising a care package within a week of our initial inquiry. The initial meeting was thorough
and every effort was made to engage our reluctant relatives and to understand their individual needs, preferences and personalities. The flexibility and responsiveness of the team during a number of emergency situations was amazing, remaining with our relative awaiting an ambulance, until we could get there and take over, and on one occasion waiting into the early hours of the morning to liaise with 111 and for the paramedics to arrive. Planning and preparing for discharge from hospital and coordinating the delivery of equipment was taken care of by the efficient and effective team. Throughout, the communication and liaison with us has been fantastic. I highly recommend this service.

My review is not just for May but from the start of care in September 2024. The care has been first rate and especially when my dad needed much more than the original one visit per day. The live in care was exceptional.

My wife and I have been using Home Instead Mansfield for the past two years to provide Home Help and Companionship support for my elderly parents. Sadly Mum passed away in March last year leaving Dad on his own for the first time in 72 years. Dad suffers from a form of dementia and still misses Mum
a great deal but takes a good deal of comfort from his team of friendly Care Pros who provide him with friendship and look after his every need. Home Instead is recognised by both Social Services and the Alzheimer's Society for the quality of its dementia training which sets it apart from other care providers. Accordingly, we would strongly recommend this company to anyone looking for a kind, considerate and knowledgeable care provider to help support a loved one suffering from dementia.

Home Instead really do go above and beyond for their clients. From building a dedicated team to work with your loved ones to management attending the visits if for any reason of sickness etc.


Management support you in every manner. The app is also a massive benefit as you can read what's happened

and any issues as soon as the visit is over.


I would have no issue in recommending home instead for your loved ones to keep them in the comfort of their own home.

Home Instead were recommended to me by a friend who had used their services. Initially I needed a care provider to help my aunt whilst I was away on holiday, as between 3 family members we had looked after all my aunts needs for several years. My aunt had been reluctant to accept outside help, so it
was very important to me that the care professionals would make her feel comfortable accepting them into her home.


My aunt really enjoyed the visits and very much liked all the care professionals. So much so, that when I suggested we could ask one carer to begin regular visits, she willingly accepted!
Currently, my aunt has 5 lunchtime visits. The care professionals assist with her having a shower and make her a hot lunch and leave her a sandwich for later.


Nothing is too much trouble for the care professionals or the office team, they really do go above and beyond. My aunt, at the age of 93, is most definitely in safe hands with Home Instead!

I am so glad that the Home Instead Companions have started to visit my mum. They are friendly, professional, caring ladies. Mum really looks forward to their visits. They chat about lots of things and they have currently got her doing a 'Life Journey' book which she is enjoying, remembering her past,
and chronicling it with photos. They also help and assist with the light housework that she wants to do but sometimes struggles with. It can be so hard with work and families but Home Instead have been a breath of fresh air for us, giving us the peace of mind that Mum is safe and not lonely in her own home. With the added security of the app I can also see if there have been any issues during the visit. They are giving mum, at 93, the independence to stay in her bungalow for a bit longer. They really do brighten her days. I cannot praise them enough for the difference they have made.

We have recently changed to home instead, following a recommendation, to provide care and companionship for my mother-in-law. What can I say - they've blown us away! The carers are fantastic and my mother-in-law has taken to them straight away. The continuity of care is excellent - this stands out
when compared to other care providers as it allows them to develop a lovely relationship. The carers have helped us in ways that we didn't know would be possible and have made a real positive difference in all of our lives. They do go above and beyond. Thank you!

I brought in Home Instead Carers to give me some hours of respite from looking after my wife who suffers from dementia. Each one of them has been patient, kind, gentle and caring with her. They've played games, looked through photos taken her for walks or simply chatted to her, none of which tasks are
simple or easy. More recently, my wife has had to go into a care home permanently as I had a fall, putting me in hospital for several days which has taken me many weeks to recover from. Once out of hospital, I had no hesitation in getting assistance from Home Instead to help with home difficulties; as previously, they were very good, the house was spotless and I was relaxed as a consequence.

From the moment we were introduced to Home Instead we have found the experience excellent and seamless. What has been a very difficult period for my father and family, Home Instead has been informative and very helpful in setting up a care plan for us. From day one the care received from Dad's carer
has been second to none, friendly and conscientious. Everyone has made my dad feel safe and happy and is providing the care to keep Dad at home. This is exactly what he wants, to be at home and feel cared for. Great service and highly recommended.

Had another care company before we tried Home Instead, the comparison of quality of care and expertise is unbelievably 101% better. No more sleepless nights worrying if they will call on time to give medication and offer care and support for personal care to our dad and help around the house with laundry
and daily cleaning.
From management to care/support workers they are all excellent with a lovely happy attitude which has helped to make our dad and ourselves feel at ease that Dad is safe and in excellent hands, a big thank you.

Suzie is the proud Director of Home Instead Mansfield and is passionate about providing top-quality care to the people of Mansfield and the surrounding villages. She has experience working in the community as she has been the owner/manager of a Wiltshire Farm Foods office that supplies frozen meals to local residents in Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire.


Suzie feels that there is a great demand for quality home care in the Mansfield area and surrounding villages and has built a strong team around her. She is passionate about looking after her team, and her team will then look after their service users.


Suzie is a local mum of three grown-up children and enjoys keeping fit, walking the dog and socialising with her friends in her spare time. She has a partner, Rob, who is also part of the Home Instead team as a joint Director.
