My mum had a serious fall in Jan 2026. We had to arrange home care support for her after rehabilitation in hospital. From the start the whole team at Home Instead have been amazing. Always easy to contact the team in the office if we have any issues. Any issue raised is always dealt with promptly. The ladies who care for mum are a lovely team. They are always on time, kind and give an excellent level of care. They go the extra mile to ensure she is happy and comfortable. They also encourage her to improve her mobility with daily walking indoors. The app is a really useful addition too. The care team always write comprehensive notes which gives us peace of mind that mums care needs are being met. I would totally recommend Home Instead (Shoreham, Petts Wood & Longfield)

I have found my carers very helpful and easy to get on with. They usually come at the arranged time, but if anyone is held up by traffic or by dealing with a previous client I get a phone call to let me know when they are likely to arrive. I still get a full hour's care. They work quickly and well and do as much as I need. I'm a very independent person and didn't like the idea of having carers, but I am happy to see them and they make my life easier.

I've experienced fast reactions and help when things have changed for our mother with dementia. Very quick to come back with reports if Inask how meetings have been.

The staff are caring, understanding and respect the dignity of the person they're caring for.

Home Instead have been brilliant with my mum, who has really enjoyed her time with the excellent carers who are well matched to her needs. They've helped her to gain confidence in her ability to engage others and she's really enjoyed the trips out for tea and cakes.

My sister-in-law spent a month in hospital at the end of last year. When she came out of hospital she wanted to continue to live on her own. She soon realised that at the age of 83 years old she would need help going forward to remain independent. She was recommended by a friend to contact Home Instead to ask for help. My sister-in-law soon felt at ease with the lovely team of carers who visit and help her stay at home. The team are always professional, cheerful, caring and thoughtful during their visits and put her wishes first.

We have used Home Instead since February this year for my 93 year old mother and we have both been absolutely delighted with the service provided.

The continuity of care is superb. Mum has one primary carer who is absolutely amazing and always arrives on time. If the primary carer is on leave we have another wonderful carer who visits mum; again she is always on time and both ladies are so lovely that mum really looks forward to their visits.

Mum really looks forward to her care visits, nothing is too much trouble and the care mum receives is first class.

Our service from Home Instead has been outstanding. From our regular day carers to arranging Night Sitters at extremely short notice, reacting to my Mums care needs and support during a rapid health change. We cannot fault the staff at Home Instead and highly recommend them.

My sister and I wanted to put in place an extra visit for day each day as we had noticed medication being missed on several occasions. We where told we needed a care review that included Dad which was quickly arranged and even though Dad has been resistant when my sister and I had mentioned it, the reviewer was so good at taking to Dad that its now getting put into place, which will not only help Dad but also be reassurance for my sister and I going forward.

Dad was declining in general well-being before we invited Home Instead into dad and our lives, the change in him several months on is remarkable and as his child I really appreciate the support.

Home Instead have always placed the care of my elderly relatives at the centre of their service. When care has had to be increased they have responded quickly, ensuring that their care needs have been covered - but building in a flexibility that means this is not overwhelming for them. I drafted in Home Instead to look after my mum in emergency circumstances (during the May bank half term holiday when resources are scarce) and the care manager and carers went over and above to accommodate my request. The level of care has been exceptional, keeping my mum comfortable and clean with dignity, with her burnt broken ankle. The carers are considerate and consistent in their task delivery. Friendly and personable with my parents. Depending on your requirements I would certainly recommend Home Instead

Amazing support and care provided. Which has enabled me to continue working, with the knowledge that my mother is safe and being cared for. I would also say the carers are lovely to talk to and have provided plenty of reassurance and helpful advice.

With as they are very personable and understanding. The carer they placed with us for my mother was a very lovely and caring lady. I believe that these are qualities that Homeinstead look for in their carers which makes myself and my mother feel at ease.

The Home Instead carers provide a befriending service to my elderly mother but quite frequently go above and beyond. Because of her early stage dementia, my mother isn't always the easiest person to get on with but I'm kept up to date with any developments or concerns raised by the carers which I can then follow up. It's a comfort to know I can call the office for advice or to keep them in the loop.

All in all a great service.

We have nothing but high praise for all the staff at Home instead. We were recommended by a person who works in the care profession. The management team are so very helpful nothing is too much trouble. The staff outstanding and look after my wife very well.

I find the office great to deal with and the carers of excellent quality. They're kind, competent and reliable. Such a relief to have them helping to care for Mum and Dad. I would recommend them unreservedly.

This company is a fantastic asset, I have to have another knee done and I will be coming back to Home Instead.
