All staff (both carers and office) have been friendly and understanding when dealing with day to day appointments and with problems regarding caring as they have occurred.

They are always there to listen and cheer me up on my down days.

My only regret is that this wasn’t the first agency I found when looking for care. If you are reading this, I encourage you to make contact with Home Instead without delay and see for yourself what an excellent service they offer.

Home Instead has given my mother superb care and companionship for the last three years, until her recent move to a specialist dementia care home. Home Instead enabled her to stay in her own home despite her health and memory difficulties and to keep some independence. Initially, it was for companionship and to support her to remember meals and medications. Then, as the dementia developed, they covered rest-breaks for live-in carers. At all times the carers have been wonderfully warm people as well as highly professional, and the office staff and supervisors have given me invaluable support too. The staff's willingness to offer some flexibility around the rest-break care when there were particular challenges was very supportive. Everyone got to know Mum really well, and their visits were the highlights of her day. I really cannot thank them all enough.

The carer who attended my wife very quickly became a trusted friend. She treated my wife with dignity and respect right up to the end. One of the things that I liked about the Home Instead staff was that they did not wear uniforms but always attended in normal dress. Therefore did not appear as “nurses”. Thank you all for your considered care.

Could not have the carer of my choice. Different care sent each day so had to explain what was required.

Home Instead are excellent at what they do. The carers who have looked after my Aunt have been punctual, attentive and caring at all times. Office staff have also been very helpful and easy to contact. We could not have wished for better service.

The questions that are being asked are difficult to answer due to having no comparisons. Overall, things are satisfactory.

Since the beginning, we have always been impressed with the selection of quality carers allocated to my mother. They have shown care and friendship above and beyond expectations, never more so than now, as my mother's health declines.

It is reassuring for my husband that a "new face" is introduced to him prior to any alteration as sometimes he finds change disconcerting. We have also found the new client newsletter, daily and weekly very beneficial.

Our carer is an amazing young woman. We look at her as one of the family, and we couldn't do without her. On a personal view, she is my only contact with the outside world, (of course we see our family very often) and they think she is a "star"!

Both of our parents were living independently with mild to moderate dementia when we engaged with Home Instead shortly after our mother broke her hip and our father was left living alone in a large house as she convalesced. The management and CAREGivers have been responsive, organised, sensitive, professional and consistent from day 1, providing several visits a day to our father providing companionship and personal care. The knowledgeable office team have, and continue to, support us with advice and staffing flexibility to establish and maintain a live-in carer arrangement. The CAREgivers now visit daily to provide the live-in primary carer daybreak. Consistency in staffing is important for our parents as their dementia has developed over the last year. The CAREgivers that Home Instead have are engaging and enthusiastic and integrate with the live-in carer established routines. The creative interaction and energy they bring to the house is a lift for everyone.
