Home Instead (Shoreham, Petts Wood & Longfield)

There is always someone available in the office to talk to if I have concerns from time to time regarding my mother and they have never failed to resolve any issue quickly and professionally.

Home Instead have been providing befriending and support services to my father for over a year. When the lockdown started they arranged to take over all his needs to reduce the risk of any infection. My father is very happy with the carers and enjoys their company. They support him to phone me regularly and he always expresses his satisfaction. It gives us great peace of mind to know they are visiting him twice a day.

The care given to my father was exceptionally good. The carer began in more of a befriending role, but as Dad’s health deteriorated she adapted to his needs very efficiently. She went out of her way to make Dad’s last days as comfortable as possible. Another carer covered for her on her days off and was also very caring and capable. The attitude of the staff was always courteous and professional and staff were experienced and very well-trained. We had the utmost confidence in them and could not have managed without them. I have already recommended this care provider and would do so again.

I have regular carers coming in seven days a week, three times a day. They enable me to stay in my own home and have my independence. Nothing is ever too much for them. They are really good to me and look after me really well. They have enabled me to go out on visits and are always there for me. They are all lovely women and are now my friends.

Home Instead provided care for my Mum on a daily basis during a difficult time. At short notice, they did everything possible to help us out and provide a carer for Mum. They were extremely professional at all times and communicated well with the family. Most importantly, they were fantastic with Mum. I can't recommend them highly enough.

My caregiver has been wonderful. I would be lost without her as my friend. We are both keen travellers and have a lot in common. She is very helpful. Thank you to them.

My mother suffers from early-stage Alzheimer's Disease and both my sister and I (her only kids) live overseas. I live in Ireland and my sister lives in Australia. My mother no longer travels. I visit about once a month, but keeping Mum comfortable, safe and supported was becoming more and more difficult. About 6 months ago we contacted Home Instead Shoreham. I must say, I cannot praise them enough. Right from the outset, we were treated with the utmost professionalism, kindness and understanding. The process of establishing care for Mum was not straightforward, as Mum was, at first, quite resistant. However, it is testimony to the patience and experience of the team at Home Instead Shoreham that we were able to get through even this issue, so smoothly. Mum would now not be without her carer and sees her as a valued friend. Mum even thanks me now for "finding" her carer for her! It is such a relief to my sister and I. I cannot recommend the team at Home Instead Shoreham highly enough!

The carers are very courteous, considerate, reliable and exercise their duties and services to a very high professional standard. They have given us peace of mind whilst my mother was in their care they have also raised any concerns they felt necessary to the wellbeing, safety and health of my mother.
