The staff and carers are friendly, caring and professional. Letting 'strangers' into their home was a fear of my parents and in no time at all the carers have belied their fears and become integral to their day giving them both the support and confidence to live a fulfilling and independent life in their own home. Nothing has been too much trouble and using the online app that they provide on which every visit is logged I am able to view exactly what has been provided and observed by the carers in each and every visit.
I cannot speak highly enough of the care and support that has been given to my parents but also to me as I endeavour to ensure the best care possible for them.

We chose Home Instead to assist with my mother's care a year ago and we have been extremely pleased with the support we have received from the company. We generally have one of three regular carers visiting for an hour every weekday morning and these three individuals have, in their different ways, established a wonderfully warm relationship with my mother. Occasionally, naturally, different carers are assigned, but each one has proved to be thoroughly professional and a pleasure to have in our house. Over the year there have been times when the regular pattern has had to change - sometimes at quite short notice - but the company has dealt with these situations promptly and efficiently. Every member of staff that I have dealt with has gone out of their way to be helpful. I would wholeheartedly recommend Home Instead to anyone requiring support at home.

My mother has advanced Alzheimer's, and is predominately cared for by my father, who, himself, is of advanced years and poor health. The whole situation was becoming somewhat challenging, and emotionally and physically draining not least for my father.
It was for these reasons that additional care and support was sought. In what is a big leap of faith, and trust, I can honestly say things could not have gone more smoothly with Home Instead. The support workers are second to none. I have the reassurance that someone is on hand, and is responsive to my parents' changing needs. I am kept up to date with my parents' care which gives me the comfort that matters are identified and addressed before they get out of hand.
I would happily recommend Home Instead to anyone in a similar situation.

I cannot recommend Home Instead too highly. The service provided has been excellent from start to finish, very responsive to needs and flexible with timing of visits to fit around my parents hospital appointments, social commitments etc. The carers have all been kind and supportive and have listened to what my parents want, for example taking my mother out for daily walks and doing the laundry according to my father's instructions. It's also been very good that the same staff have generally been looking after Mum and Dad and they have all got to know each other. The staff are lovely! Thanks to everyone at Home Instead.

During the ensuing six weeks, I had a number of different carers, all of whom were very pleasant, sympathetic and helpful.They were unfailingly punctual and were all of great assistance. Home Instead have a large selection of carers to choose from. As we use carers several times a day, several times a week, we have met many of them! How experienced the carers are varies. How good they are with mum depends largely on the 'chemistry' between my mum and the carer. All of the carers are polite and kind. They have always looked after mum so well. In particular two members of staff are amazing. They are absolutely wonderful with mum. My only suggested improvement is the scheduling. If things change or carer is late, we are not often informed. If the live in carer is relaxed about it is fine. If the live in carer has arranged something for their break, it means that their plans are ruined and I need happy carers! One member of staff is brilliant with last minute changes from me and I will be forever grateful for that.

I was very happy with my experience with Home Instead. All of the ladies who came to my home were kind and caring people who were all very happy to help me and I thoroughly enjoyed chatting to them and going on walks with them. They were all well briefed on what my needs were and support needed. I will definitely use Home Instead again if I need additional support to maintain my independent living.

A fantastic service, and we have been clients for several years now and I can't say enough how wonderful the ladies have been who look after my 95 year old Mother. They are so professional, always on time and the love and care they give my Mum is so appreciated. Without them Mum couldn't remain at home and would hate it in a nursing home. The ladies take her out every day for a walk around a local National Trust Property or just for a walk in the town or even coffee and cake at Coolings Nurseries. Nothing is too much trouble and the ladies are now an important part of our family. So a massive Thank you!

Initial contact through to set up of care and delivery of care has been fantastic. Staff have been very friendly to my uncle and he is enjoying their company and happy to ask them to help him in the house. I don't think we have received a page of photos of all the carers as promised but otherwise the admin and communication has been great. Couldn't be without you now!

One of the staff members is great. My cousin can be very difficult at times, but one of the staff members handles every situation with respect, dedication and humour. I am always informed of the visit rotor for my cousin which is very helpful. The service from Home Instead is excellent, I can't fault it.

The carers at Home Instead are excellent. They go above and beyond in caring for our mum and dad, anticipating their every need. They are professional, patient and caring. My mum has dementia and the carers treat her with respect and consideration at all times. My dad has health issues but wants to keep going out and about. The carers take him and mum to the park or the garden centre which really helps their mental health. They also take mum and dad to their many appointments and negotiate the difficulties with understanding for them. We are very grateful for all the Home Instead ladies do.

We could not have found a better care agency than Home Instead. The management team are very proactive and accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they go out of their way to make sure that my mum is always happy and well looked after. We have been extremely impressed by the standard of all the carers my mum has come into contact with and especially welcome the fact that she is always looked after by the same team of people, so has been able to build up a good relationship with them all. And of great importance to us all, is the peace of mind we have knowing that whatever might happen, we have full confidence that the carers will be able to deal with it and at the same time will keep us fully informed. The staff at Home Instead have almost become part of the family and what more could I have wished for my mum!

I perhaps was not the usual client as I was mobile and able to care for myself so perhaps what I needed was the luxury attention e.g. massages, hair and nail attention but although this is available it comes at extra cost.
As I look back on care and have to make one comment, for me it would be plans of how to spend the time. Old people can get lazy or too 'tired' to make decisions!

Graham has been the owner of Home Instead Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks and Edenbridge since October 2020. He is actively involved in the running of the office including making coffee!
Chanel joined us as a Field Care Supervisor in 2024. She has more than 20 years of experience in the domiciliary care industry. She spends a lot of time out and about supporting our clients and care professionals alike.
Alannah joined Home Instead initially as one of our Care Pros but with several years experience of scheduling at a previous care company was the perfect fit when we were looking for a new scheduler.
Colin joined in 2023, he has a wealth of recruitment and marketing experience. He previously worked in the financial and health fields in London.
Mollie joined the team in 2024 as our in-house trainer. She brings with her experience as a carer in various settings.
