Absolutely amazing service . Fantastic staff who interacted and cared for my Father in his last week . A special shout out to two staff members in particular who not only cared for my Father but made sure I was ok too, I am not sure I would have coped so well without them . A very caring service
and always just a phone call away . I highly recommend this branch of Home Instead .

I have had a recent operation and needed the support of a Live -In Carer for my recovery . I live alone . I have been very pleased with the support which i have received . Very professional , attentive and helpful in every way . The original booking was for 2 weeks from my discharge from hospital and
i have extended this to 3 weeks .

I am very happy with the ladies that have been helping me .They seem allways cheerful and helpful nothing is too much trouble. I have found it lovely to have someone to chat with and help with some chores that I used to do but am not able now .

I have no comments some the men are bit week.in terms of looking for sort I find the woman are better deal with person care when it comes to disability and personal care. In cheek for sorts.
It would be helpfully if asking if I need help.

I have been very happy and reassured by the care my Mother has received, and the client support through the office.
There is a high number of staff and having a different person every day can be a little stressful for Mum - but they are well trained and professional.

My husband has been cared for by Home Instead, personal care, for a substantial time. We had previous experience of 2 other companies who, for varying reasons, were not good and, at times, caused my husband distress.


Since being with Home Instead [recommended to me by a friend], we have received

nothing but excellent service, not just from the carers who have become friends, but also from the staff.


The Carers are, exactly that, carers, kind, professional, efficient and with empathy for my husband, never impatient or brusque. it is not an easy job but they are aware that my husband is an individual and they treat him with dignity and humanity.


The administration staff are always supportive and do everything they can to make our lives easier. Any request is responded to efficiently and supportively.


I frequently recommend this company to any one who I know is looking for good care for their loved ones..

Fabulous care, my mum really liked two members of the team and the manager made sure mum had those carers whenever possible. I would highly recommend this care service, it bought us peace of mind and bought mum care with dignity.

The carers feed, clean and generally take care of my aunt. They are friendly and reliable. The carers attend three times a day, so taking care of breakfast, lunch and dinner. Occaisionally the carer is asked to buy something from a local shop, which they do without trouble. They also arrange for
hair cuts and other personal needs.

Home Instead looked after our dad from 2018-2021 and currently look after mum. We are so pleased with the very efficient office staff that keep us up to date of any upcoming changes and alway try to keep our regular carers in our visits. The carers themselves are very friendly and the bond our mum has
with them is priceless. I have recommended Home instead on a number of occasions and will continue to do so.

We have used Home Instead to care for my father who had dementia in his 80s and later for my mother in her 90s after he died .
Throughout this period we have received excellent care which has been reviewed and modified as their needs changed over the years.
Both my brother and I live 200 miles away
from our parents home so having such a reliable and conscientious set of carers makes all our lives much less stressful.

We have used Home Instead for six months now. They always come in a timely manner. Home Instead are very adaptive to cover holidays if I am away. The staff are very kind, caring and attentive to my mother. My mother seems very happy when they are with her.

Since my mother moved into Stansted in 2020 Home Instead have attended and cared for her in a most professional yet very caring manner. Two carers stand out particularly, for whom nothing was too much bother. As mothers dementia progresses unfortunately she can appear slightly unappreciative but I
can assure all the carers who attend her she is very grateful indeed as are we. Whilst we were away recently mother required a visit to the GP surgery. The carers arranged the consultation and took her to the appointment whilst keeping us fully informed as to what was going on.

Excellent . Have had experience of other care agencies and this company is streets ahead in terms of training and professionalism of carers, and reliability which is paramount - they will always ring even if they are running 10 minutes late and they have never let us down . My mother has lovely relationships
with those who care for her . I appreciate how diligent they are and how well managed the service is- they keep me in the loop and regularly discuss mums needs with me and how they can improve the service . They also hold events so that their clients can come together socially and offer extended services like footcare.

The carers supplied have been lovely. They're doing tidying are providing support to Mum as well as supporting her around the house. She is happy with the ladies that have come out. Comms has been clear with any questions resolved quickly

Mum has been cared for by Home Instead since 2019.
The level of care she has received has been excellent, her carers are friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them.
Mum recently had a stay in hospital, some of her regular carers were able to visit and help with feeding and companionship while
she was there, she was always very pleased to see them.
The office staff always try to accommodate my needs, very friendly and helpful.

Hi I am David Bassett, Director for Home Instead Senior Care here in the East Hertfordshire and Uttlesford office. My role includes the management of the day to day running of operations, overseeing the CAREGiver interview and selection process, payroll, HR, and delivering some of our in-house training.


I have worked in the social care sector since 1996, in nursing homes, local day centres and at our local regional college as an QCF Assessor.


In my previous roles i worked closely with people who suffered with mental health problems such as, Alzheimer's, learning difficulties and the elderly. I am very passionate about my role and will always ensure that our CAREGivers deliver exemplary care to all our clients. I have gained my QCF level 2, 3 and 5 in Social Care Management. I am a trained trainer in moving and handling and many other areas and gained Bronze status as an Alzheimer’s Society Approved Trainer in 2011. In July 2012 I was short listed as a finalist for the ‘Internal Trainer of the Year’ award as part of the Hertfordshire Care Awards.


I am committed to ensuring that we build a fantastic team to provide the highest quality of care for both our current and future clients and their families, giving peace of mind for all concerned.
