Home Instead Ivybridge have cared for my mother for the past couple of years and in every way the entire team, both the administration and carers, have been exemplary. They have managed to keep my mother so well cared for in her own home and then also when she has been in hospital & a nursing home for the final three months. They have gone beyond their duties and have been so loving to her. As I live in Australia and have been unable to take care of her as I have wished I could, knowing that my mother has had daily, reliable, trustworthy and amazingly loving companionship has relieved my heart immensely. I cannot thank everyone enough and I certainly cannot recommend them more highly. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, you have made a huge difference in my mother's life and also in mine.

Our dad's quality of life is much improved as a result of all this.

Both parents have received excellent care from Home Instead at Ivybridge. The carers are always calm, and compassionate and always quick to have a laugh. They are more than happy to take my parents out for an adventure, which is great for us as we live so far away. The team are quick to help with any queries or set up additional visits, if necessary, help with appointments or care when ill. It is very reassuring to know that they are cared for so well and would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead.

My brother and I live overseas so it's impossible for us to provide regular care for our elderly parents. We engaged Home Instead Ivybridge to provide Dad with a daily check-in after Mum was hospitalized. Their team were very professional, understanding, friendly and flexible. They have given us peace of mind that all is well in our absence, and have also kept us up to date by relaying progress reports from Mum and Dad's medical team. We are very glad we chose Home Instead.

The team at Home Instead Ivybridge have done a truly amazing job in looking after my stepfather over the past 6 months. Our families live far away, so it has given us peace of mind to know he was being so well looked after between our weekly visits. My stepfather was extremely reluctant to have care at first but came to trust and rely on the carers more and more over the months, even looking forward to visits. In our experience, the entire team at Home Instead have gone above and beyond in their roles and in caring for him. Communication has been excellent and any concerns notified to us immediately. My brother and I really couldn’t have managed without them. Sadly our stepfather has decided he cannot manage at home any more with his declining health and it is time for him to go into full-time care. He will miss his favourite carers. We cannot thank the team enough.

Cannot fault the absolutely wonderful care that this organisation gives my Mum. She has been a service user for some time, and has developed lovely relationships with several of her caregivers. However in recent weeks Home Instead have really pulled out all the stops. I have been involved in the setting up of a new care plan following Mum's spell in hospital, have been given access to her care records, and carefully kept in the loop when any changes have been made, or any incidents for concern have occurred. All the caregivers I have met have been beautiful, efficient, friendly and adaptable. I have every confidence that Mum is getting the very best of care and am very grateful to all concerned. Would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead to anyone who seeks top class care for a relative.

It is always difficult to leave mum when I return to my own home town but I now leave her with a much lighter heart as I know she is being well looked after.

My father was reluctant to have care in his home initially but now looks forward to his carer coming in each morning. We are extremely pleased with the outstanding level of care he is receiving and I would recommend Home Instead to anyone. Home Instead took the trouble to match my aunt's interests with those of her carer which enabled them to have conversations about poetry art, music, and Dartmoor, and she enjoyed their company immensely. They were patient, kind and efficient but I think it was the small things that were of the greatest benefit for example encouraging her to draw, quotes to brighten her mood, taking her for drives to the coast or moors, helping her to prepare an evening meal or an occasional treat. All these things allow her to remain in her own home and I cannot thank the carers enough for that.

I have always been most satisfied with Home Instead. The carers are always cheerful and helpful and will turn their hand to anything if asked.

I can’t praise the experience we have had with Home Instead Ivybridge enough. I chose them because of their outstanding CQC rating. From the time of my first enquiries right through to successful care visits being deployed they have been thorough and professional. Communication has been made very easy which is absolutely essential as I live far from my sister. The care supervisor has many years of experience in the caring profession and it shows. She is kind, cheerful and totally on the ball with all aspects of the situation from overseeing medication, deploying and checking on care visits and communicating with other health professionals involved. Her dedicated and diligent attention to detail means that I am totally confident that my relative is receiving all the best care and attention possible. A particular bonus is that carers have relevant car insurance for trips out, including appointments and social visits which my sister thoroughly enjoys. Excellent I’m very happy!
