Home Instead are extremely responsive to the needs of my father, who is now beginning to be quite frail (at the age of 93). They listen carefully to our concerns and interests for our dad and always treat him with humour, kindness and respect. They are efficient and punctual.
The care plan and
task lists for his daily routines are updated regularly and include a range of supportive activities that enable him to continue to lead a meaningful and fulfilling life. He clearly enjoys the company of the carers, who bring warmth, cleanliness and a sense of security into his home.
This would be extremely difficult without their support.
The App enables us to keep up to date with our dad's progress on a daily basis, plus Martin and the management team are also readily accessible, they communicate efficiently and costs are clearly explained.
Our dad's quality of life is much improved as a result of all this.

The Home Instead team looked after my husband for the last 6 months, starting with just a few hours and then increasing as the need arose until he passed very recently. The staff were cheerful, well trained, understanding and kind. They were a huge help for me. The carers well selected and we all
got on well. They were all part of a regular team.
I could not have done it without them.

We have recently started using Home Instead Ivybridge to help care for our 92 year old mother living alone many miles away from the rest of the family.From the first we were impressed by the understanding and empathy expressed by the Director, Manager, and other administrative staff. The visiting
carers have been wonderfully supportive,kind,helpful,calm and considerate.
The whole team responded immediately and professionally to a subsequent fall our mother had at home by providing seamless cover and support throughout including taking her to A&E,staying with her there for many hours wait for tests and to see a Dr and then returning her safely home ensuring she was settled for the night. We felt as reassured and confident of their care as if we ourselves had been with her. They provided immense relief in a very stressful situation and we cannot thank them enough.

Both parents have received excellent care from Home Instead at Ivybridge. The carers are always calm, and compassionate and always quick to have a laugh. They are more than happy to take my parents out for an adventure, which is great for us as we live so far away. The team are quick to help with
any queries or set up additional visits, if necessary, help with appointments or care when ill. It is very reassuring to know that they are cared for so well and would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead.

We have been using Home Instead for nearly 2 years for our parents and are very impressed with the service they are providing.
We live a distance from our parents and we initially employed them to act as a companion to Mum and to help her visit Dad whilst he was in hospital. We now rely on Home
Instead more particularly recently to help take our parents on fantastic trips out.
I am so impressed with the care they provide. Every carer we have had has been professional, kind and brought humour and fun to my parents' lives.
I am also very impressed with their dedication to my parents.
The communication with the company is excellent even out of hours. Nothing seems too much trouble for the manager and his team.
In short, Home Instead have provided an invaluable service at the highest of standards.

My brother and I live overseas so it's impossible for us to provide regular care for our elderly parents. We engaged Home Instead Ivybridge to provide Dad with a daily check-in after Mum was hospitalized. Their team were very professional, understanding, friendly and flexible. They have given us
peace of mind that all is well in our absence, and have also kept us up to date by relaying progress reports from Mum and Dad's medical team. We are very glad we chose Home Instead.

The team at Home Instead Ivybridge have done a truly amazing job in looking after my stepfather over the past 6 months. Our families live far away, so it has given us peace of mind to know he was being so well looked after between our weekly visits. My stepfather was extremely reluctant to have care
at first but came to trust and rely on the carers more and more over the months, even looking forward to visits. In our experience, the entire team at Home Instead have gone above and beyond in their roles and in caring for him. Communication has been excellent and any concerns notified to us immediately. My brother and I really couldn’t have managed without them. Sadly our stepfather has decided he cannot manage at home any more with his declining health and it is time for him to go into full-time care. He will miss his favourite carers. We cannot thank the team enough.

Home Instead have been invaluable to being able to keep my mum at home as long as we can. They have been exceptionally reliable and their staff are an asset to them. They cannot do enough to make sure my mum is happy and well cared for.

I chose Home Instead Ivybridge after receiving a recommendation and after reading the Outstanding CQC report. The care my aunt received exceeded my expectations and I cannot praise them highly enough. All the staff, both carers and management, were caring, compassionate and extremely professional
and well-trained. The team were able to respond to my aunt's increasingly complex health and care needs with compassion and professionalism, working in close collaboration with community health services. This enabled my aunt to receive care in her own home in accordance with her wishes.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Home Instead Ivybridge to anyone looking for caring, compassionate, professional home care.

I can not recommend Home Instead highly enough.
The care provided is excellent and everyone involved will always go the extra mile to help. Right from the start the manager has been supportive and given excellent advice, he clearly cares.
The caring team are extremely professional but also
caring and friendly.
It’s not easy having people coming and going into your home, but it feels more like friends visiting and it has never felt intrusive.
Our main carer is amazing at what she does, she is calm, friendly and extremely efficient and we look forward to her daily visits. On the days we don’t have her we have another carer who is also excellent, a very positive person to have around.
My husband has had very complex needs but I have never once worried when he is receiving care from these two carers which has been wonderful for me.
I really would not hesitate to recommend the care from Home Instead.

Cannot fault the absolutely wonderful care that this organisation gives my Mum. She has been a service user for some time, and has developed lovely relationships with several of her caregivers. However in recent weeks Home Instead have really pulled out all the stops. I have been involved in the
setting up of a new care plan following Mum's spell in hospital, have been given access to her care records, and carefully kept in the loop when any changes have been made, or any incidents for concern have occurred. All the caregivers I have met have been beautiful, efficient, friendly and adaptable. I have every confidence that Mum is getting the very best of care and am very grateful to all concerned. Would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead to anyone who seeks top class care for a relative.

I was very concerned that Mum would not take well to having carers coming to the house in the mornings; she is fiercely independent and insists that she doesn’t need any assistance.
However, 3 months after starting with Home Instead, Mum is happy, compliant and looks forward to the carers arriving.
The app is fabulous for me as I do not live in the area and I was blown away when I read that Mum has become “The model client”. That is totally unexpected and fantastic to read.
I stay with mum for a week every month and I have gained first-hand experience of how the carers talk to mum, interact with mum and really care for mum. This bodes well for increasing Mum’s hours in the future so she can stay in her house where she has a definite routine, continuity of care and lots of happy memories.
It is always difficult to leave mum when I return to my own home town but I now leave her with a much lighter heart as I know she is being well looked after.

We are extremely pleased with the outstanding level of care he is receiving and I would recommend Home Instead to anyone. The staff are so friendly and professional and really make a

Home Instead took the trouble to match my aunt's interests with those of her carer which enabled them to have conversations about poetry art, music, and Dartmoor, and she enjoyed their company immensely. They were patient, kind and efficient but I think it was the small things that were of the
greatest benefit for example encouraging her to draw, quotes to brighten her mood, taking her for drives to the coast or moors, helping her to prepare an evening meal or an occasional treat. All these things allow her to remain in her own home and I cannot thank the carers enough for that.

I can’t praise the experience we have had with Home Instead Ivybridge enough. I chose them because of their outstanding CQC rating. From the time of my first enquiries right through to successful care visits being deployed they have been thorough and professional. Communication has been made very
easy which is absolutely essential as I live far from my sister. The care supervisor has many years of experience in the caring profession and it shows. She is kind, cheerful and totally on the ball with all aspects of the situation from overseeing medication, deploying and checking on care visits and communicating with other health professionals involved. Her dedicated and diligent attention to detail means that I am totally confident that my relative is receiving all the best care and attention possible. A particular bonus is that carers have relevant car insurance for trips out, including appointments and social visits which my sister thoroughly enjoys. Excellent I’m very happy!

The service my mum and I have received from the Home Instead (Ivybridge) team has been excellent. They have been professional and effective at all times from care to administration. The team show great compassion in everything they do; what is in my mum's best interest is clearly foremost in their
