I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Home Instead to anyone looking for care for a loved one.

My father had dementia. He moved to the area 2 and a half years ago and we began with a low level of support initially. His care requirements increased as his dementia took hold - Home Instead were excellent at discussing with me his changing needs over time. By the time he moved into residential care Home Instead were visiting twice a day every day of the week, ensuring he was fed, showered, had company and trips out. I was hugely grateful for the care taken with my father. We have subsequently recommended Home Instead to friends who have found themselves to be in a similar position.

Home Instead provided a vital service for my ailing mother until she died in August. The management team was extremely flexible and I was reassured that care visits could be could altered and/or increased as required. We moved from one daily visit to two, then three, then a carer staying overnight, every night. We were not let down once. All the carers were kind, thoughtful and helpful, calling me if at all concerned. They gave Mum as much dignity as possible as she went downhill. Every visit was recorded online so that we all knew what had happened. My mother and I became very fond of them and I know they were very fond of my mother, which was touching. They are really good people and completely trustworthy. Our combined efforts allowed Mum to stay at home and she died peacefully in her sleep. I thoroughly recommend Home Instead.

There are cheaper service providers out there, but when the care of an elderly and vulnerable person is being trusted to strangers, you want to be sure that you are getting the best service possible. I am happy to say that we got that and I would definitely recommend Home Instead

Home Instead were perfect for my mum and dad, and then just for dad when we lost mum. They helped him so much through the first weeks of his grieving process as they weren't just dad's carers, they become his friends and he so looked forward to seeing them. His physical care was brilliant and the carers and management always went above and beyond with relating issues to the doctors etc. We cannot recommend them enough.

They also had a good relationship with the extended family. Their care enabled mum to remain at home where she died peacefully

After initial reluctance to accept that care was needed, Dad soon settled and accepted the visits from his team, having some laughs along the way. All carers showed Dad kindness and dignity, which is everything I wished for him. Management liased well with me to smooth out the occasional problems .

Breath of fresh air on meeting Shannon at mums home. Professional, friendly, caring approach from start. Actively listening to mums care needs. Personal approach from carers where nothing was too much. Always going the extra mile with me and mum.

Having observed the high level of concern given to my late wife over a period of more than 4 years and the care and concern given to me since her passing by her/my carers have been exemplary. Our carers have been more than simply carers. Their obvious love of their roles shine through and I cannot express too highly the care and companionship that I got from them. Excellent service. The entire team are friendly utterly professional and cannot do enough to help, nothing is too much trouble. We as a family, have found this service to be an effective alternative to a care home. It means that our relative can continue to live independently whilst being supported with various areas of her life, such as meals, washing, some cleaning, medication and socialising. The staff have effectively managed her needs and are skilled at negotiating with and supporting her.

I have found that Home Instead are a very caring company, to both me and my husband. I am having to leave them as my husband is going into residential care. If I ever need care, I would use them.

The Home Instead team have been caring for my mother for 3 years. They also cared for my father until he passed away last year. In short, the whole team, carers, and back-office is outstanding. They have provided tailored support, combining empathy and rigour, throughout this time. At every stage, the care has evolved in-step with my parents' needs. Carers and back-office support my father in his final months with love and sensitivity. They have shown the same personal care, love and empathy looking after my mother as she has made the difficult transition to life without my father. A great strength has been the continuity of the team. They know her. She knows and trusts them. They have become an extension of the family.

The Home Instead team came to our aid when we were looking to get my father out from hospital and back home. With very short notice, they put a package in place which enabled us to get him home the next day with a rota of care which continued for the next 3 months. We all came to rely on the team a lot and they went above and beyond to cater for his requests and timings, alongside the medical care provided both during the day shifts and particularly the overnight care. They became part of the family, and often I think he looked forward to talking to them as part of the visits more than anything. I would thoroughly recommend the Home Instead team.

We are more than happy with the care mum has received - It's been excellent from day one, the carers are lovely and mum has been very happy with them. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Home Instead.

The entire team feel like family now, but remain totally professional at all times. Care plans are adapted and updated frequently and the care professionals are always ahead of the game. The app that is used gives me all the information I need to see that my father us being well looked after. They all go above and beyond the call of duty. A five-star company for sure.
