Over all time Right at Home Alton & Bordon has 36 reviews.
The team are always prompt to arrive and the 'shadowing' to introduce new carers to us was great and avoided the 'stranger' arriving to take care of needs.
We would not have left Right @ Home care services had circumstances not forced the change.
I cannot recommend this company higher enough.. perfect..thank you.
This is such a wonderful review, thank you so much! We are so proud of the care team we have at Right at Home and the no stranger policy only enhances the relationships we can build with clients and their families. I will share your words with the manager and her team in Bordon, thank you once again.
Right At Home have provided excellent support for our mother - both during shorter daytime visits, and for a period of Live In care following a knee replacement. The carers have all been kind and friendly, and our mother has liked them all. The live in carers were especially invaluable, and consistently excellent. The staff at the office are always prompt to respond, and always do their best to accommodate additional requests and keep us updated with any developments. Highly recommended.
Thank you so much for this really kind review praising both our homecare and live in team, we always review and change care plans just as a persons life might change and develop. Thank you!
We have nothing but praise for the whole team at Right at Home. The level of care, companionship and support goes way beyond what we could ever have dreamed of for our father. This has enabled him to remain in his beloved home for far longer than would have been possible otherwise. The team know dad extremely well - he and us are made to feel like we're not just another client, but a valued family. Communication is excellent, the visit notes giving us a glimpse of dad's day, flagging any issues and highlighting the moments of joy. When emergencies occur they are handled with compassion and efficiency. If care at home for your loved one is right for them, please don't be afraid to reach out to Right at home. We recommend them whole heartedly with No reservations.
We can't thank you enough for kind words and 5 star review! It means the world to us that we have been able to help support your Farther with living independently at home, as at Right at Home that is our biggest aim amongst the community. I will pass this onto the CareGivers and the care manager!
We are very pleased with the support and consideration given by all the carers involved in his twice daily visits.
All have been reliable and punctual as well as unfailingly kind whilst helping him with his disabilities and increasing frailty.
In an emergency, the team have taken the initiative to deal with the home care aspect of the situation. A big relief for me as we don't live close enough to offer immediate support.
Thank you to everyone as caring sometimes isn't an easy role.
Thank you for your review - I will pass this over to the team! They will be delighted to read your lovely words. Giving loved ones peace of mind is extremely important to us, and I so pleased to hear that we have been able to provide this for you and your family.
What a relief to be referred to Right at Home in the first place!!!
Thank you so much for your kind words - I will be sure to pass them over to the team! We carefully match up Clients and CareGivers so that they can build a wonderful rapport, and that definitely sounds like the case with your Mother which is lovely to hear!
Very helpful and kind
Thank you so much for taking the time to send us over such a lovely review, I will be sure to share this with the manager and the team.
Can't recommend them enough!
Thank you so much for your great review, we have an incredible team in Bordon who always want to go the extra mile for our clients. We will pass your kind words on to your Dad's carers and the team!
They help with simple everyday tasks that my parents can no longer cope with. This gives my parents the independence to still live at home and do the things they enjoy doing. It means I can take my mum away, giving her a break from my dad and I know that he will looked after.
Thank you is too small a word, but thank you.
Thank you so much for your kind words, being able to help return peace of mind to our clients and their families is everything to us here at Right at Home. We want people to enable people to live as independently as possible for as long as possible doing the things they love. I will be sure to pass on your review to the team.
He quickly became trusting of the superb team, and this was down to their skills, patience, and compassion with him, above all they respected his independence and dignity. They gave him time. He enjoyed conversation and the staff quickly adapted to his sense of humor.
I could not fault the level of support they gave our father. No task was too much trouble for them and I would recommend them to others, and have done.
Sadly, our father had to go into residential care, due to other medical conditions which meant he could no longer be cared for at home.
The organisation right from the outset, was efficient, professional, and prompt and the level of care was outstanding.
Many thanks for your wonderful review. I am very glad we helped your father stay at home for as long as he could. I will make sure the team see your comments - it will mean a lot to them. thanks again, Alastair
Right At Home have been looking after my father for just over a year now and the care shown by every member of the team has been outstanding. The care has been exemplary and their recognition of my father’s sense of humour and special ways (and standards!) was just wonderful. The communication with my mother (who has been his primary carer for some years now) and myself has also been faultless. The extra support given to my mother too has been amazing; relieving her of the more physical aspects of care but also providing her with company and conversation, which has diminished in the home over time due to my father’s condition. The sensitivity and understanding of both their needs is excellent. Thank you all for your dedication and support for my parents, and for easing the load in such a gentle and understanding way.
Thank you so, so much for such a wonderful review. I will share this with the ladies and their team of incredible carers. We pride ourselves on the relationships we build with our clients and their families. Our person-centred care plans ensure that we understand the needs of each person we support in their home, this is both practically and emotionally. Thank you once again!
Nearly 100% of the time the carers arrive on time. Are well presented, very polite, obliging and do the agreed tasks with a smile. All have excellent empathy towards their clients. Normally I do not give excellent reviews, as perfection only exists in utopia. However, Right at Home Alton & Bordon have surpassed our expectations.
Thank you so, so much - this is a really wonderful review and I cannot wait to share this with the team! We really do pride ourselves in offering premium care that exceeds expectations and we achieve this by working with the very best care team. Thank you once again.
Thank you.
This really is a lovely review to receive, thank you so much for taking the time to write this. I will pass this over to the team!
Clean, tidy and always wear PPE.
We love the triple P review! Thank you so much for sending this in. We really do pride ourselves on providing premium services!
The team at Right at Home have been with us since around August/September 2022. The service has always been impeccable. The carers are the backbone of the company and they all go above and beyond for my mother and me. The pressure they have taken off us as a family is immense and we couldn’t be any more grateful, we have our life back to the best it can be, all because of the care team at Right at Home. I feel I can trust the team to provide care for my mother when I’m not around. I can go to work and leave the team to care for Mum and I 100% trust them, otherwise, I feel I couldn’t go to work. That’s very important to me and they provide the comfort for us to live as close to a normal life as possible.
I will pass your words onto the team.
Thanks again.
Happy with the care and need that the company give.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, we feel so lucky we have such a wonderful team of carers. I am so pleased to hear they are having such a positive impact on your life and I will be sure to share this with the team.
The staff from Right at Home have gone above and beyond for my dad. They have been a huge help, not only physically with the personal/palliative care, but also compassionately with a lot of support and comfort by doing extra, thoughtful things and giving expert tips and advice that I wouldn't have thought of. Their communication is excellent, professional yet personal. They were able to start care almost immediately, and I will be forever grateful for all they have done for my dad and our family at a critical time. They have been a huge comfort. Big shout out, in particular, to one member of staff who's been a star and ensured my dad is treated with dignity.
Thank you so much for these kind words, I will pass them to the team. It is so lovely to hear that our carers were so compassionate and supportive to your dad and also to your family. We really do have an amazing team who genuinely want to do all they can.
I used this care company during the summer months this year and I was both very impressed and extremely pleased with the care that they provided. The ladies who looked after me each morning were very friendly, considerate and kind and made me feel relaxed. I had never used a care company before so I was a little hesitant as well as sceptical, but they took away my fears. When faced with a small emergency, they went out of their way to help promptly. I have recommended the care company to others. They are a little more expensive than several other companies but well worth it if you can afford it.
Thank you so much for this wonderful review which I will be sure to share with the team. We really do pride ourselves on offering incredible care with our carers being friendly and trained to the highest standards. Thank you once again for taking the time to write this review.
I am delighted with all the girls who have come to help me. I am going through a very difficult time at the moment and all without exception have been kind, considerate and helpful, nothing has been too much trouble and look forward to many more caring times.
Thank you so much for sending in a review, I am looking forward to sharing this with the team! Nothing is too much trouble for our fabulous team of carers - we are so lucky to have them!
We’ve been using Right at Home for over a year now. The whole family has been very impressed with the level of care provided. They really get to know their clients and consider what their needs might be. They communicate well with me and I feel that they not only listen to my concerns but do their best to act upon them. My father is always complimentary about each of his carers, I feel that some of them have become more like friends and he really enjoys their company.
Thank you so much for your lovely words which I will be sure to pass to his carers and the rest of the fantastic carers. We pride ourselves on providing premium care and building relationships with our clients and their families. We do this through our "no strangers" policy and also we will only have a minimum of a one hour companionship calls. We definitely think of our clients as friends too!
Having persuaded them to give some additional help a try, I spoke with a number of agencies before going ahead with Right at Home. For about a year the carer has arrived on a Tuesday morning, providing not only a break for mum but also a change of companion for my stepdad - and he thoroughly enjoys her company. On the occasions she has been unable to visit, she introduces a colleague the week before so it's always a familiar face arriving.
More recently, we've added two overnight visits a week, providing the comfort to both that there is someone on hand if needed but also enabling Mum to get some undisturbed nights. The Right at Home team has been flexible, warm and super efficient in getting this bedded in (pardon the pun) in record time.
Thank you so much for your review. We understand it can be a challenge to accept help in the home, our policy for a minimum of one-hour calls means that we can go beyond just helping but really build relationships with our clients and their families. The companionship and sense of relief we can...

Meet the Team (14)
Alastair realised back in 2012 that homecare was a very rewarding way to work within his local community and was successful in joining the growing team of Right at Home local owners/operators.
"My role has changed significantly since I started the business in 2012", Alastair explains. "From being involved in every activity of the business to now having an amazing team that does all the hard work. I am still involved in defining our strategic plans, overseeing the values and culture of our business and leading the senior team."
"Although it is great to receive amazing feedback from our clients, I think the most rewarding part of my job is to support team members to fulfil their potential and grow their careers at Right at Home."
Alastair described working at Right at Home as rewarding, varied, and safe.”
Rhys joined the Right at Home team in 2021 as Head of Finance & Business Development, after realising the difference Homecare can make on individuals. Rhys' job allows him to "oversee all finance-related activities and ensure the business is building partnerships with local authorities, communities and businesses in the local area."
"Completing business-wide financial processes from KPIs to payroll to management accounts. There is nothing more satisfying than implementing a new process and seeing how that affects business performance. "
Can you share a bit about your background and what you did before joining Right at Home?
Before joining Right at Home, I worked in the promotional merchandise industry. Anything you could brand, we would print. We operated as a global solution, meaning I had the pleasure of working on the US, Europe and Asia time zones. I've always worked in finance ever since leaving sixth form and have a real passion for understanding how everything works, from the economy to budgeting.
What inspired you to join Right at Home?
Knowing what this industry gives back was key to my decision. Having close relatives who worked in this sector, I knew exactly what feeling you get when leaving and going home. That feeling of a job well done. Of really making a difference to someone. I say it to everyone I come across, certainly ex-employees from my time in the City. This role is incredibly rewarding, and I wouldn't change it for the world.
What does a typical day look like for you?
I'm always looking ahead. Strategically thinking about ways to grow the organisation and improve processes to increase efficiency. I spend time catching up with the CareGivers to discuss pensions, holiday pots or budgeting. From a client's perspective, I make sure that they continue having the best quality homecare that puts our name on the map.
I assisted a client with an old printer they had. When I say old, I mean 22+ years old. Not the kind of printer you can pick up from your local Currys or Argos. Both the branch in question and I made it our mission to get this individual printing again (as they make the most wonderful cards that EVERYONE enjoys). We sourced the printer on eBay. Negotiated a price. Received the item and made sure this was all set up for them to start using straight away. It's still going to this day! The way I can tell is because everyone in the office has received a Christmas card!
What’s your hidden talent that (until now) most people don’t know about?
I can speak Spanish. I used to be fluent after spending 5 years of my childhood living in Tenerife.
What’s your favourite thing about working with your colleagues?
We are all just so, so different. In my previous role, it was very sales-driven and sales-based, meaning we had one mould of person. Here it is completely different. I think everyone here has done care in the past, and I love just how enthusiastically they speak about the sector. It's infectious!
Claire’s return to college and her desire to ‘give something back’ were the key motivations that kick-started her career in care. Today, Claire oversees the compliance across all four of our territories. Claire’s role is vital in ensuring that Right at Home delivers the highest standards for everyone involved - our clients, caregivers, and employees. Her dedication to this is truly inspiring.
I am a proud mother of four and someone who values lifelong learning. After taking time to focus on my family, I returned to my studies as a mature student, which led to my degree in social work. Following that, I worked for a charity for several years, where I was able to make a meaningful impact by supporting unpaid carers and families.
My caregiving journey has been shaped by a lot of personal experiences and life events. Supporting my elderly grandmother as she aged was a big part of it - it showed me how much of a difference a little care and compassion can make. As a mother of four, I’ve always been in the role of looking after others, and when I went back to school to study social work, it gave me a deeper understanding of how to support people in meaningful ways.
Their commitment to providing truly person-centred care. Right at Home focuses on quality care by offering hourly visits. This means we have the time to build real connections and provide the support people need without feeling rushed.
A typical day for me starts with checking my emails and completing any necessary admin tasks. I often visit other offices to make sure everything is on track and offer support as needed. No two days are exactly the same, but that’s part of what makes it so rewarding.
What I enjoy most about my role is visiting the clients and seeing firsthand the difference our carers make in their lives and the impact they have on their well-being. I love listening to the carers and hearing their stories about going the extra mile; it’s a privilege to be part of a team that genuinely cares about making a difference.

Liz leads both Marketing and Recruitment, bringing a wealth of experience to the table. Since joining Right at Home a few years ago, she has become a valued member of the leadership team and an incredible asset to the company. Liz is actively involved in the community, whether at recruitment fairs, organising events at HQ, or participating in local community gatherings to promote Right at Home and represent the company with a friendly face. Her dedication never goes unnoticed, and she is truly the glue that holds her team together.
I have worked in a marketing role for 20 years, the majority of which was in the promotional merchandise industry. Before this, I was at university studying Art History!
I loved the Right at Home company values, which are strongly aligned with my own and that it is a growing company which genuinely wants to do good things for people, whether it is the clients, their families or the carers!
I feel like there is no typical day for me! My role is so varied, which I love!! I can be doing anything from working with my team on recruitment or marketing strategies to making calls to carers to check in on their well-being. I work a lot on our internal and external communications and generally aim to make Right at Home the best place to work for everyone!
All of it. I love my team, and I love seeing carers and clients, and when they are happy, I am happy.

A little bit about Sharon:
Before joining Right at Home two years ago, Sharon was the manager of her local Co-op. Inspired by her daughter, she decided to make a career change and become a caregiver. Since then, Sharon has flourished in her role and is now a trusted Senior Caregiver. This means she supports the caregiving teams in Alton and Bordon, offering guidance and being someone they can always turn to for help and support. Recently, Sharon took the next step in her career and became the new Care Coordinator for Alton & Bordon! Who better for the role than someone with first-hand experience in the field? We are super excited to see Sharon flourish in her new role.

'I volunteer at Hollycombe Steam Fair, Reading.'
I have a Dachshund called Candy and a guinea pig called Bubbles.
'A book to read, a blanket as I am always cold and a multi knife to use for many tasks.'
Eve’s return to the care industry in the winter of 2024 led her to the role of Live-In Care Coordinator, where she has naturally flourished; her journey with Right at Home began in 2018 when she joined as a CareGiver. After a small break, Eve returned to join the office team, embracing the opportunity to continue giving back while overseeing the Live-In CareGivers. With her firsthand experience as a CareGiver and her compassion, there is truly no one better suited for this role.
Please provide a summary of what you do in your job role:
As a Live-In care coordinator, I schedule visits for our Live-In clients and carers. Carry out reviews with clients and their families to ensure we are providing them with the relevant care, and I update support plans to echo this. Carers are carefully selected for their clients, so we have a good match of personalities and preferences.

I find it especially rewarding when I can reassure potential clients and their loved ones during those first, often emotional, conversations."

Ciara has been passionate about care from a young age, beginning her career in the sector at just 18 - she worked in a residential home for seven years, dedicating herself to supporting the elderly, before stopping to have her firstborn. Ciara’s passion for helping others stems from her childhood, during which she cared for her Nan. Reflecting her commitment to putting others first, Ciara joined Right at Home in 2020 and has flourished ever since - her hard work and dedication were recognised when she achieved a distinction in her Level 3 qualification, earning her the Apprenticeship of the Year award!
What inspired you to join Right at Home?
I wanted to come back into care when my children went to school full-time. I wanted to work for Right at Home, as they offered flexible hours to work around my children, and they also offered great opportunities to further my career. I have achieved this in my 4 years with Right at Home.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Supporting care through their care calls, evidencing the care visit against the care certificate and making sure it's documented accordingly. Transferring all relevant information to carers' files. Booking in carers for their next support/observation visit.
What do you enjoy or find most rewarding about your role?
