Right at Home was recommended to us and we were 100% delighted with the service. We had help for around one year which started as an evening meal visit for our Aunt and Uncle and then latterly it became end of life care at home. The ladies were (are) so professional, attentive, caring and highly skilled. Their familiar and friendly faces became a source of comfort for us as family members as much as for our terminally ill uncle. They continued to help by visiting our Aunt in order to provide consistency for her and they treated her with such care and respect, having lost her husband of 70years. I really and truly can’t say enough good things about this company and I will recommend it to anyone.
Thank you once again.
Right at Home looked after my sister in her home in July/August 2021. Firstly they agreed to come out to us, think we live a bit out of the area, when no-one else could. The manager met us immediately and asked really relevant questions so that the team could get to know my sister, what she liked/didn't and how we would like things to work. There is a no stranger policy so we were always introduced to a new member of staff by a current member who we had already met. Great idea. The girls/ladies were all (without exception) wonderful. They were a support to both my sister and to us as a family. Nothing was too much trouble. They were always there when the schedule said, never late or no shows. When we suddenly needed the care upped from one person twice a day to 2 people 3 times a day this was just actioned as if no issue although I am sure it took a great deal for them to cover and co-ordinate this. They never made it feel that way to us. I cannot speak highly enough of the care we received.
Hi Kate, thank you so much for your kind words and taking the time to write this review. Our CareGivers really are an incredible team and it is so important to us that we match CareGivers with our clients to ensure we can build strong relationships. Our one-hour minimum visit time also facilitates...
We have been so grateful for the ongoing support of Right at Home, Alton & Bordon for my 94-year-old mother who has Alzheimer's. Her carers have all been so lovely and the office has always responded very quickly to any queries or requests for changes to Mum's care plan. As my mother's condition continues to decline, it's good to know that she is in safe hands on the days that I cannot be with her. I have no hesitation in recommending Right at Home to anyone needing a care package.
The caregivers all think so highly of your mother and are committed to offering the best support they can, to both your mother and you.
Thank you.
I used to take my next-door neighbour shopping and do errands for both herself and her husband. Lack of transport meant I was unable to continue. The carer they have now is very good. She is extremely patient with both of them.
Many thanks for taking the time to write us a review. I am very glad that your impression of our caregiver and the work that they do has been so positive. Thanks again.
What a fantastic team of carers. They couldn't have done more for my partner. Would definitely recommend Right At Home (Alton & Bordon). They made a very difficult and challenging time a little bit easier. Nothing was too much trouble and they were attentive, friendly and respectful. Just brilliant.
Sarah, very glad we could be there to help and support when you needed us. A big thank you to you for taking the time to share your experience - it means a lot to the team to hear such positive feedback.
I have used Right at Home for the last year or so. I always found them to be professional, on time and extremely efficient. Staff are friendly and always put my needs first. I would recommend them to friends and family.
Alfred - thank you so much for your fantastic review. I know the team love working with you and will be delighted to see this review. Many thanks.
The team from Right at Home were fantastic in the way they provided palliative care for my mother in law. They were so kind and caring in the way they cared for her and us and we will always be grateful to them for how they helped us all through a very difficult time.
Mike, many thanks for such a great review. I know the team felt very involved with you all and were honoured to be able to be there and make a difference to you all at a difficult time. Thank you again for taking the time to write us a review, it means a lot to me and the team.
We have enjoyed the daily visits of a team of terrific carers since September 2020. The girls have been so caring, affectionate and professional towards both my wife and I, always asking how we are the minute they get inside the door. They have been incredibly punctual during some difficult periods and have developed a loving relationship with her. An administration issue by the providing authority caused us to have a 3-week break with another company, and the end of the contract saw all the girls and my wife emotionally upset. The contract was renewed and there was a race by the staff to get back to visiting my wife asap. The merriment of the missing three weeks was quickly restored, and their care has been very uplifting for her. The girls are wonderful but the most impressive element as far as I am concerned is their determination to persuade my wife to do her exercises that will give her a much better quality of life in the near future.
Brian, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Right at Home. We were very sorry you did not have such a good experience with the other company but very glad to be back with you now! I am glad to hear that the team are doing such a good job persuading your wife to do her...
I would advise anyone who is a bit hesitant about having care in the house, go for it, it's wonderful! I am a competent ex-businessman with health issues who needed some support. And the staff have been amazing. They have given me my confidence back, to believe in my ability to get on with life. I couldn't have wished for a better service!
Eric, thank you for your fantastic review. Your words are very relevant as so many people do worry about starting care but then when they do start to find it has such a positive impact on their lives. It is great to hear of the improvement it has had on your quality of life.
My godfather has been exceptionally happy with the help he has received and his carers have become very valved friends. They go over and above all expectations, being incredibly helpful and kind. This was epitomised recently when Government regulations meant that the prior arrangements for the Christmas break had to be changed at the last minute. Right at Home efficiently and with huge thoughtfulness ensures that my Godfather was not alone, in fact, he enjoyed a rather spoiling and joyous day. Those responsible for the logistics and administrative side of this care company are very reliable and one can be certain of a quick response to any queries.
Veronica - that is such a wonderful, glowing review - the team will be delighted to get such fabulous feedback. The team do take their responsibilities of caring for our clients very seriously and strive to make sure we are always improving the quality of their lives. Thanks again, Alastair
She enjoys her trips to the supermarket with the carer, she has no problem with the care provider and one, in particular, we call our ray of sunshine as she brightens our day.
Right at Home is a very good service provider and management are also excellent.
Thank you very much for your review. I believe that getting the care right for people living with dementia is so important and can make such a big difference to both the individual we are supporting and their family. So, I am delighted to read such a good report from you.
All carers are conscientious and courteous to my husband, who can be difficult at times. They all support and care about me as well.
Thank you for your positive review! Very much appreciated.
I am a friend of a new Right at Home client and was instrumental in enlisting the company to provide care. My friend is simply delighted with the level of care and support he receives and it has enriched and transformed his life. The individual carer who visits on almost every day is wonderfully kind, attentive and provides hugely valuable contact, support and practical help. The office and admin is impressive and makes using Right at Home a joy.
Nick, thank you so much for your review, and I am delighted that the team have had such a positive impact on you and your friend. This is just the sort of thing that I hope to hear, and we aim to achieve. Thanks again.
My family and I are very happy with the care provided to our 89-year-old mother; who has Alzheimer's. Her carers are very reliable, kind, hard-working and thoughtful. My mother appreciates their daily visits to help with her care and things that need doing around the house, with shopping and cleaning. They also provide much-needed company. As none of us family members are able to visit during the current crisis, it is hugely reassuring to know that she has such good care. We are much indebted to them for making it possible for our mother to live in her own home as long as possible.
Rosaleen, thank you for your kind review. We are delighted that we are able to help and make a difference when you can't be there in person for your Mum.
Very professional service, with caring and professional caregivers who are always punctual, helpful, cheerful and tactful with the support they provide for my mum. She looks forward to their daily visits! Highly recommended.
Kate, thank you for your great review. Very glad we are able to support you with your care for your Mum.
Right at Home visit my mother, who is sometimes very difficult to please, very stubborn and proud. But, they have been going 3 times a week and now we have had to increase to twice a day 7 days a week. Mother is happy, the house is clean, she seems to connect well with the carers that go in to her. I am very happy with the level of care, the communication is spot on. If there is a change in mother's condition I am made aware straight away. I'd recommend the company without hesitation.
Trudie - thanks for your review. We have all sorts of different clients and put some thought into which of our care team are going to be best suited to care for each person. So, very glad that this has worked well for you and your Mum. Thanks.

Meet the Team (14)
Alastair realised back in 2012 that homecare was a very rewarding way to work within his local community and was successful in joining the growing team of Right at Home local owners/operators.
"My role has changed significantly since I started the business in 2012", Alastair explains. "From being involved in every activity of the business to now having an amazing team that does all the hard work. I am still involved in defining our strategic plans, overseeing the values and culture of our business and leading the senior team."
"Although it is great to receive amazing feedback from our clients, I think the most rewarding part of my job is to support team members to fulfil their potential and grow their careers at Right at Home."
Alastair described working at Right at Home as rewarding, varied, and safe.”
Rhys joined the Right at Home team in 2021 as Head of Finance & Business Development, after realising the difference Homecare can make on individuals. Rhys' job allows him to "oversee all finance-related activities and ensure the business is building partnerships with local authorities, communities and businesses in the local area."
"Completing business-wide financial processes from KPIs to payroll to management accounts. There is nothing more satisfying than implementing a new process and seeing how that affects business performance. "
Can you share a bit about your background and what you did before joining Right at Home?
Before joining Right at Home, I worked in the promotional merchandise industry. Anything you could brand, we would print. We operated as a global solution, meaning I had the pleasure of working on the US, Europe and Asia time zones. I've always worked in finance ever since leaving sixth form and have a real passion for understanding how everything works, from the economy to budgeting.
What inspired you to join Right at Home?
Knowing what this industry gives back was key to my decision. Having close relatives who worked in this sector, I knew exactly what feeling you get when leaving and going home. That feeling of a job well done. Of really making a difference to someone. I say it to everyone I come across, certainly ex-employees from my time in the City. This role is incredibly rewarding, and I wouldn't change it for the world.
What does a typical day look like for you?
I'm always looking ahead. Strategically thinking about ways to grow the organisation and improve processes to increase efficiency. I spend time catching up with the CareGivers to discuss pensions, holiday pots or budgeting. From a client's perspective, I make sure that they continue having the best quality homecare that puts our name on the map.
I assisted a client with an old printer they had. When I say old, I mean 22+ years old. Not the kind of printer you can pick up from your local Currys or Argos. Both the branch in question and I made it our mission to get this individual printing again (as they make the most wonderful cards that EVERYONE enjoys). We sourced the printer on eBay. Negotiated a price. Received the item and made sure this was all set up for them to start using straight away. It's still going to this day! The way I can tell is because everyone in the office has received a Christmas card!
What’s your hidden talent that (until now) most people don’t know about?
I can speak Spanish. I used to be fluent after spending 5 years of my childhood living in Tenerife.
What’s your favourite thing about working with your colleagues?
We are all just so, so different. In my previous role, it was very sales-driven and sales-based, meaning we had one mould of person. Here it is completely different. I think everyone here has done care in the past, and I love just how enthusiastically they speak about the sector. It's infectious!
Claire’s return to college and her desire to ‘give something back’ were the key motivations that kick-started her career in care. Today, Claire oversees the compliance across all four of our territories. Claire’s role is vital in ensuring that Right at Home delivers the highest standards for everyone involved - our clients, caregivers, and employees. Her dedication to this is truly inspiring.
I am a proud mother of four and someone who values lifelong learning. After taking time to focus on my family, I returned to my studies as a mature student, which led to my degree in social work. Following that, I worked for a charity for several years, where I was able to make a meaningful impact by supporting unpaid carers and families.
My caregiving journey has been shaped by a lot of personal experiences and life events. Supporting my elderly grandmother as she aged was a big part of it - it showed me how much of a difference a little care and compassion can make. As a mother of four, I’ve always been in the role of looking after others, and when I went back to school to study social work, it gave me a deeper understanding of how to support people in meaningful ways.
Their commitment to providing truly person-centred care. Right at Home focuses on quality care by offering hourly visits. This means we have the time to build real connections and provide the support people need without feeling rushed.
A typical day for me starts with checking my emails and completing any necessary admin tasks. I often visit other offices to make sure everything is on track and offer support as needed. No two days are exactly the same, but that’s part of what makes it so rewarding.
What I enjoy most about my role is visiting the clients and seeing firsthand the difference our carers make in their lives and the impact they have on their well-being. I love listening to the carers and hearing their stories about going the extra mile; it’s a privilege to be part of a team that genuinely cares about making a difference.

Liz leads both Marketing and Recruitment, bringing a wealth of experience to the table. Since joining Right at Home a few years ago, she has become a valued member of the leadership team and an incredible asset to the company. Liz is actively involved in the community, whether at recruitment fairs, organising events at HQ, or participating in local community gatherings to promote Right at Home and represent the company with a friendly face. Her dedication never goes unnoticed, and she is truly the glue that holds her team together.
I have worked in a marketing role for 20 years, the majority of which was in the promotional merchandise industry. Before this, I was at university studying Art History!
I loved the Right at Home company values, which are strongly aligned with my own and that it is a growing company which genuinely wants to do good things for people, whether it is the clients, their families or the carers!
I feel like there is no typical day for me! My role is so varied, which I love!! I can be doing anything from working with my team on recruitment or marketing strategies to making calls to carers to check in on their well-being. I work a lot on our internal and external communications and generally aim to make Right at Home the best place to work for everyone!
All of it. I love my team, and I love seeing carers and clients, and when they are happy, I am happy.

A little bit about Sharon:
Before joining Right at Home two years ago, Sharon was the manager of her local Co-op. Inspired by her daughter, she decided to make a career change and become a caregiver. Since then, Sharon has flourished in her role and is now a trusted Senior Caregiver. This means she supports the caregiving teams in Alton and Bordon, offering guidance and being someone they can always turn to for help and support. Recently, Sharon took the next step in her career and became the new Care Coordinator for Alton & Bordon! Who better for the role than someone with first-hand experience in the field? We are super excited to see Sharon flourish in her new role.

Eve’s return to the care industry in the winter of 2024 led her to the role of Live-In Care Coordinator, where she has naturally flourished; her journey with Right at Home began in 2018 when she joined as a CareGiver. After a small break, Eve returned to join the office team, embracing the opportunity to continue giving back while overseeing the Live-In CareGivers. With her firsthand experience as a CareGiver and her compassion, there is truly no one better suited for this role.
Please provide a summary of what you do in your job role:
As a Live-In care coordinator, I schedule visits for our Live-In clients and carers.
