Home Instead have been supporting my mother in her home for over three months. All the ladies that visit Mum are excellent, my mother looks forward to their visits. They are patient, kind and professional. We are increasing the visits which will enable my mother to stay in her home longer. I particularly like the app so I can see the support Mum has received that day. The setting up process and reviews have all been handled efficiently.

Overall happy, I find ti very reassuring to know Mum is being cared for at the times I am unable to visit or need a break from the day to day responsibility and routine.

The two carers that were allocated to attend to my needs were excellent, patient and caring. I actually looked forward to their visits, and they were additionally of help to my wife with jobs that she was unable to undertake due to having a hip replacement.
Home Instead have been caring for my mother who is now in the late stages of Alzheimer's for the past 2 years. My dad had been her carer but needed help when his health deteriorated. I feel that my mother is very well cared for and it is reassuring to know that my dad has someone to talk to as well 5 days a week. The staff are highly trained and understand my parents' needs. We have on occasion had to have extra care which hasn't been a problem. I had no hesitation in recommending Home Instead to my boss for her elderly mother who is also very happy with their service. Thank you to all the staff for their hard work and dedication!
The comments refer to my wife lying in a hospital bed and being looked after by 2 carers visiting 4 times a day. The system is extremely good, very caring with every effort made to befriend the client. With dementia, my wife is not always easy and no two visits will be the same. Every effort is made to involve her in discussions and sometimes singing. The carers also do all they can to help me.
She says that the visits have helped her in her journey to stay as independent as possible and just hearing her say that is a huge bonus for me. Their willingness to share Mum's passion for gardening has really lifted her up and given her dignity and joy as she has been able to share her knowledge and happiness with them.
My sister and I have also found Home Instead to be willing to work collaboratively through the hard circumstances of the lockdown and the time since which has needed creativity and flexibility on all sides.
We feel secure with the ethos of the organisation and the individuals on the staff team.

We have been using Home Instead for a year now and first instructed them to care for my mother who has late-stage Alzheimer's. My father had been ill and had to go into hospital and as he had been her carer since she was first diagnosed, was unable to care for her. He was very reluctant at first for someone coming into his home but after a few weeks realised that he needed the help. I can honestly say what a massive difference it made and the caregivers going in have, and are doing such a great job with Mum and also with Dad. The care provided is fantastic, and it is such a relief for myself and my family knowing that Mum is being taken care of in such a loving, caring way. The house is spotless and knowing Mum and Dad are being fed healthy meals is really reassuring. When I go to see my parents, Mum is always clean, tidy and smartly dressed, so much better than before care was in place. It's also nice for my Dad to have someone else to talk to as it is really isolating for him.

My two fiercely independent and elderly parents (90 and 82) needed extra help at home so after much research, I called on Home Instead, Havant. Their response couldn't have been better - helpful, friendly and understanding. In particular, once the contract was signed, they worked with us to find exactly the right carers for my very picky parents, which they did. This was just before the Coronavirus lockdown and Home Instead were fantastic in ensuring continued support, even when they had staffing issues. As a result, my parents had uninterrupted and vital support from two people they love during the lockdown and now have no qualms about having people help them in their home. For anyone who's considering home support in the Havant area I can't recommend Home Instead enough; and for those of you worried about resistant, independent parents, take heart that with the right agency, even the most resistant of parents can quickly come to welcome support.

Very happy with the care-givers that have been assigned to us, bearing in mind that the client suffering from Alzheimer's was not initially receptive to the specific care that was actually required. Their dedication and patience has seen an improvement and we are now addressing a number of the key needs.
Home Instead were wonderful for my late Mother. The lady they sent to be a companion to her was extraordinarily kind, compassionate, understanding and very helpful. Mum was disabled and this lady made sure she had a nice lunch, was ok in herself and gave her someone interesting to talk to. This lady also helped Mum achieve little goals in Mum's precious garden and indoors, things I never had the time to do. Before my dear Mum passed away, she told me how much Home Instead's companion had meant to her. Had Mum lived longer she wanted her companion to come more often to give me a bit more time to myself and reassurance she was ok while I was at work or out. I cannot thank you - Home Instead- for choosing such a lovely person to look after Mum. You are great.

From my first telephone conversation with office staff, I knew this company was well organised and efficient. Service was prompt, personal and appropriate enabling care to be set up quickly for Dad. A visit from a manager to get to know Dad within a day or two, meant that carers matched to Dad's needs were soon in place. Everyone was kind, capable and so caring. Punctuality rigidly enforced. Dad felt safe and confident with his carers. They always met his needs, whether it was personal care (with dignity) preparing refreshments, reading him stories, playing the piano to him and more. Home Instead goes the 'extra mile' in every aspect. They made such a difference to us all.
It was very important for us to find an agency that we could be confident with and trust to give the best care to my father as we live quite a long distance away from him.
He has now recovered very well from the broken shoulder but still needs support to be able to live at home, which is what he wishes and to remain as independent as possible. My father now only needs a carer to visit once a day. He sees the same carers, who have all been chosen carefully, they have got to know and understand him very well.
They are all wonderful, kind and caring and my father is happy and so are we. A very big thank you to the manager and all his team.

Home Instead (Havant) was recommended to me by a friend using their Birmingham branch. I contacted them because my 90year old Mother needed care in her own home morning and evening. I can honestly and wholeheartedly say that they have been just wonderful. I cannot fault them in any aspect. I was nervous about sourcing carers but they are invaluable. They work as a team and each one has seamlessly got to know mum and her ways. There have been many times when they have done so much more than was scheduled and have caringly dealt with sensitive situations.

My mother received very good care from this company, here carer came 4/5 times a week between 8/9 and. The full hour was given and mostly the same carer (only twice a different carer came)her carer was kind, patient and jolly in personality very important to my mother, everything I had asked to be done was done. The office staff were also efficient and pleasant. I would rate overall service as excellent.
Early experiences of the support and professionalism from Home Instead are very positive. Our father’s health deteriorated quite quickly in terms of needing some extra help. The responsiveness of Home Instead was extremely important and arrangements were made in a thorough and efficient manner. With many decisions to make in a short period of time, a number of things clicked into place with the choice of Home Instead. Looking at websites initially, it was interesting to observe what stood out. For example, I liked the absence of any uniforms, tabards or t-shirts; and the company name was also encouraging as my father has always expressed his wish to stay at home. The approach to having a small team of people involved in our father’s care has been helpful and the main CAREGiver has been excellent throughout the period she’s worked with our father. As the weeks have progressed we continue to be very pleased with the responsiveness of all personnel we have been in contact with.
Excellent staff always on time and utterly professional.
