My review is in the context of being a new, relatively light customer of Home Care provider services.
My father has 2 visits a week from one care professional. She has been a positive presence on every visit, engaging him in conversation and getting him to exercise a bit more - he has responded very well. She is always willing to step outside her immediate brief and eg engage with my mother as well, or help with a delivery at the door.
Set up was easy (I'm the bill payer / adminstrator), though a lot of pages of paperwork as it covers all types of services.

There is an app where the carer shares feedback on every visits which is helpful.

All the members of staff I have spoken to or met have been very professional, helpful and friendly. The care professionals treat my dad with care, respect and dignity. They often go over and above their tasks. I am very grateful for their care and attention.

The Home Instead carers have been wonderful for my father in the last 4 months . Although I speak to him everyday it's lovely to know that the carers are going in for an hour twice a day .He loves company and to know that someone is seeing him twice a day is such a help to me . If there is a problem they always contact me ( usually if he is out !) and it. Is all very reassuring . He went into a home for a month for some rehab but was very keen to return home and Home Instead has enabled him to do this . Thank you .

All seems to be well, the app is always positive and Colin appears to be happy with the visits.
Help is at hand when I need to phone the office which reassures me .

The carers are informed of any requests I ask from the office so that is helpful.

Experience has generally been good, apart from choosing a carer who was my next door neighbour for a short period. I've had about four regular carers of whom three have been very good. Apart from varying skills, the ability to provide intelligent conversation is important - more important than an impeccably made bed. My worst bugbear is the office changing the day of the week that a carer comes without much notice. One has to do the washing before the carer can do the ironing rather than after.

So happy with this company. The carers are very friendly and my brother is well looked after by them. If I have any concerns I contact the office and speak with caring people who know who my brother is and not just a person on their books. Also appreciate the fact if they have any concerns they contact me. Would definitely recommend this company for their care and compassion. Anything I'm concerned about they put right and have Len's best interest at heart

Compassion and sensitivity are two hallmarks of Home Instead which have taken my wife and I through a very challenging period of our lives - flexibility, unquestioning, reassuring and absolute reliability being among the others. Stemming from effective management and communication across the board, ensuring there are no cross wires, engaging Home Instead during the course of our recovery from major surgery has been our good fortune. We have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead for all levels of personal care.

My mother continues to be extremely well cared for by the team that visit her. Each carer has developed a very good relationship with her and she regards each as a friend. All caring tasks are performed well and every carer treats my mother with respect and kindness. I have full confidence in both the care team and the administrative team who keep me informed when the need arises. I think it is a testament to the success of the whole team effort that my mother is able to continue to live in her own home, as she wishes, even as she approaches her 100th birthday. My sincere thanks to you all from my mum and me.

We have been clients of HI Central Hampshire for about 5 years, first for my Dad and now Mum. We have progressed from shorter care sessions to now live in care. All of the carers have been wonderful,- such lovely, empathetic people who are highly professional, work hard and really care about their clients and families. They take time to get to know their clients and tailor their support to enhance their quality of life, which can be challenging with dementia sufferers. The Care Professionals are supported by an excellent support and management team. The communication with the family is excellent and we appreciate the effort they put in to provide us with a consistent, high quality service, and the openness in flagging issues and finding solutions. Caring for Mum at home for as long as possible is a key priority for our family and HI's high quality service has made this possible. I have no hesitation in recommending them to others, and thank all the team for their wonderful care.

I cannot speak highly enough about all the carers that have supported and helped Mum. They have been professional, patient and so so kind to not just Mum but myself and Dad too. We are struggling with Mum at the moment and they take time for all of us often going over the hour that they are there for.
Despite Mum's stubborn refusal at times they win her round with their kind ways, ensuring Mum's dignity at all times.
They have even won my Dad round who was adamant that no carers would be allowed in!

Thank you.

From the beginning when my father was reluctant to accept any help, Home Instead have shown a high level of care and patience. The care givers provide a kindness, firmness and sense of humour that has won the hearts of my father, his late wife, my sisters and myself.
After the death of my stepmother, my father needed more care and Home Instead provided this at short notice. The management have also been very good at communicating with the family and have really tried to accommodate the additional needs.
The care givers are punctual, sensible and very able at domestic duties. They also bring sensitivity, kindness and a lightness to a situation which to family members is more challenging.

Overall Home Instead have enriched the lives of my father and my late stepmother. They have enabled them to stay in their own home and most definitely have eased the burden of care on the wider family who don't live nearby.

The service and flexibility is excellent. They have a very good quality of carers, who are compassionate and always will to help. Some have a medical understanding and that has been really helpful. Many have become friends with my mum. It's not just caring support but also companionship. Whenever there has been any last minute requests or changes, they have been very reactive and supportive.

Fabulous service from the Home Instead office team and all the Care Pros. No matter who you have contact with, the quality of service is fantastic, and they are joined up in their thinking and approach. I feel we are really working well in partnership together. My dad's new live-in carer has started this month. Home Instead recruited this person from outside their network but she is absolutely of high standard I'd expect from Home Instead: warm, friendly, professional and above all laughs and keeps everything upbeat yet calm which is so important with Dad who has Alzheimer's. They are settling in well together.

Simply the best carers we could wish for to look after our parents. Home Instead looked after my dad before he passed away in December, it was a difficult time for us all but they dealt with the situation with so much care, dignity and empathy. Home Instead carers are now looking after my mum who has mild dementia, the whole team are excellent. The initial visit and assessment from the manager was completed in a such a kind and considerate way. The office staff are always so helpful on the phone when we need to make changes or I need advice on what would be best for my parents. The carers that visit mum are excellent, so patient and kind. Always willing to take mum out for a coffee and cake, or change the beds, sit and do a crossword or make a meal plan/shopping list - whatever she wishes to do is no trouble for them. The care team have seamlessly fitted into our family and I know that mum loves having their daily visits.

Over the past several years, I have had the privilege of using Home Instead's services. Their commitment to excellence has consistently exceeded my expectations. They are not just a care provider; they have become an integral part of my sister's life, delivering compassionate, reliable, and professional care that has greatly improved her quality of life.
From the beginning, their personalised approach stood out. The initial assessment was thorough, allowing them to develop a customised care plan tailored to our needs.
The caregivers are exceptional, compassionate, genuinely invested in my sister's well-being, and often become trusted companions.
Home Instead's reliability is impressive. We've never been left without care, and the management and support team is highly organised, with clear communication about any schedule changes.

In conclusion, Home Instead has provided exceptional service, profoundly impacting my sister's life. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

Overall Experience
My sister is utterly convinced that she is capable of independent living alone despite her having age-related dementia. In recent months we have had the assistance of Home Instead and this has very much enhanced the quality of her life and also of our confidence that things are going as well as can be expected, as we live a several hours journey from her and so cannot respond immediately to any day to day issues that might and do arise.
We are now looking to increase the duration of the Home Instead care to cater for further deterioration in her condition. The quality of the care provided is outstanding and a major component of this is the excellent and sympathetic company that the daily carers provide. Being able to access the daily carer's report is very reassuring and allows us to respond on a daily basis as and when necessary.

Overall we are very impressed with the service and with the quality and professionalism of the carers.

It was an absolute pleasure to meet your team of carers who were all as helpful as could be, cheerful and willing at all times. They were employed to give personal care to me and my wife each morning. This left 15 minutes spare when they were happy to do ironing, change bedding etc which was a big help. We were sad to say goodbye and will certainly ask for help from Home Instead if we need it in the future.
