From the initial call to the office, all our dealings with the staff, at the initial assessment meeting and subsequently over the phone and via email have been friendly, professional, efficient and helpful. The care plan was produced efficiently and speedily.
The mobile phone app is really useful for updates and gives peace of mind.
The small team of carers have been reliable, consistent, punctual and communicative.
We are extremely grateful to them all.
My mum is much more positive about life now the team are involved, she loves their visits, and the care and compassion the team show gives my sister and I great peace of mind, knowing that Mum is safe and happy.
This is an excellent caring service. All of the staff are kind, professional, knowledgeable and dedicated. The ladies that visit have been amazing; they treat my parents with dignity and yet they are friendly and fun, too. The carers arrive when they said they would and get on with whatever needs doing. They are hard-working and proactive. I have been able to relax after years of worry, thanks to these ladies. The office staff and managers that support the carers are very warm and approachable; they are on top of all the detail and regularly monitor the care plans to ensure the best care for my mum and dad. I thoroughly recommend Home Instead; in fact, I came to this company, myself, after a personal recommendation. They have a well-deserved reputation. They really are the best in Winchester. Thank you to all of the staff - from all of my family.
Professionally involved with the client and the family, I have observed and been involved with the various staff members and carers over the last couple of years. I have been impressed by everyone's desire to listen to all concerned to ensure that the service delivered is not only of the highest standard but also the kindest. In the current Covid situation, protection, care and common sense has been at the forefront of everyone's mind with the result that the client and family have been able to get through these very difficult times with the least upset possible. I would highly recommend this company.
I honestly can't rate everyone at Home Instead highly enough. From the wonderful carers to the lovely people in head office, everyone is so kind, compassionate, flexible and understanding with both my wonderful mum who they take such good care of and myself as well. Mum's needs have changed dramatically in the short space of time we have been with Home Instead and everyone has worked incredibly hard to adapt quickly to accommodate them. Their communication is excellent and if there are any flags of concern the carers will inform the office who will, in turn, inform me. The carers are so great with Mum and I often enjoy being in the house when they are there and listening in to their interactions. They are always so positive and uplifting and this always rubs off on Mum. To everyone at Home Instead, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Although there have been a few changes to the schedule, a carer was always punctual and willing to do all manner of tasks.
As they were working in unfamiliar surroundings, it was not always easy to know where things (cutlery, dishes) were normally put, but there were always attempts to achieve tidy and clean surroundings.
Frequently ready to chat; always kind.
Since having Home Instead from April 2018 to help look after mum, I have been more than impressed by their standard of care, kindness and professionalism. They are considerate and it is good that they look after mum but too that, I'm part of the package! Their carers all enjoy coming to help mum and although she suffers from dementia she has got to know them (not by name) but that they come in to help her! I think she loves the attention they give her. I also appreciate they wait to make sure I'm ok and not getting too stressed.
Home Instead have always provided an excellent, caring and respectful attitude to me and I am entirely happy with all that they provide.
The team have been unfaltering in their support and care over the last 6 months. Firstly with my mother who desperately needed support at home, until she was taken ill. Her carer became her friend who she looked forward to seeing her. After my mother was taken into hospital, it became an extremely difficult time for all of us but especially for my father who had lost his wife and he himself had been diagnosed with dementia. Home Instead took the weight of our concerns over and looked after my dad brilliantly. Every carer went above and beyond my expectations in making him comfortable and allowing to stay in his own home for as long as possible. Everything was possible and I can't thank them all enough for helping us through the last 6 months. It is rare to find an organisation these days who go out of there way to excel and this they did.
I have found Home Instead excellent in every way. The different carers who visit me are always friendly and most helpful.
My mother and I have been very happy with the caregivers who have visited. They are punctual and reliable and always friendly and caring. My mother frequently says "they are all so lovely and so lucky." Having the ladies call each day has also removed a lot of stress for me worrying about how she's coping.
Your carers have done an excellent job in helping dad with both his catheter bag change and the other tasks they do for him. I know he is very happy with the people he has and often talks about them highly. We had originally arranged with another homecare agency but they failed to turn up which may have been a blessing in disguise. Very caring and have often gone the extra mile. Thank you.
I have no problems with Home Instead. They are suitable for my condition.
Home Instead have provided me with help and companionship for the past 3 and half years.
I have valued the kindness and reliability of my helper - she is more like a friend now! She has been very tactful at all times and willing to do the job requested.
A review in January 2017 had input from the carers and decision was to keep the same team of carers with new carers given comprehensive training. Communication can be difficult for mum and she has to feel confident with the carers and respected before she will open up. She has opened up with all the Homeinstead carers. She knows them all by name and is interested in their lives and families. They respect her and listen to her. I organised a rep to demonstrate a piece of equipment we have, Homeinstead were the only company we use to send the team to learn. They now use the equipment and found it invaluable. It is great to see them embracing new equipment that will help carers and also other clients. This product is available from social services. The management is available to chat to about concerns and the carers report in a great communication book.
They arrive on time and let us know, on rare occasions, if they are going to be late.
We very much appreciate that we have a "team of carers" so that the same carers come regularly each week. They are cheerful, very caring, trusting and empathetic and aware of our needs.
If there are changes with the client the carers correspond with the appropriate carer.
Home Instead has made a total difference to our lives at a difficult time.
We are very glad we chose them.
They are an exceptional group of people with a very high level of service.
If it was not for the wonderful care being provided by Home Instead, I very much doubt that our mother would be still managing to live in her own home. We are constantly impressed by how calmly, efficiently and cheerfully the caregivers deal with her particular needs - some of which are quite complex. We are also very pleased with the way in which any new staff joining our mother's 'team' are trained by existing carers, to ensure continuity. All those visiting our mother communicate very well with each other, as well as with the family and the home help, via detailed notes. Whenever I have phoned the office to discuss anything concerning my mother, there is always a familiar member of staff there ready to help and advise. We are extremely grateful for all that Home Instead do!
The care my mother received from all the carers from Home Instead Senior Care was excellent. All carers have also always been kind, helpful and flexible. Office staff have also always bent over backwards to support my mother. I would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead Senior Care.
All the staff are so kind and I love meeting any of them.
At a time when I am living many miles away from their home, it has become a great comfort.
