Home Instead has been outstanding in their care for Dad and Mum. I am so very grateful for the speed with which the team were able to organise and provide care. Home Instead's support has afforded my parents a great deal of comfort during a difficult time. Thank you!
Home Instead's compassionate and flexible approach enabled my parents to manage his last few weeks prior to moving my dad to a care home. The staff were all superb, engaging at the right level and amount without stifling my mum. The support we received from the management and admin team - sometimes at the weekend - was outstanding. Customer care went above and beyond again and again. I would highly recommend and use again (though hope I don't have to!)
My father very much appreciates his twice-weekly visits from Home Instead; they provide valuable companionship and enable him to spend time out of the house. He has found the carers to be real morale boosters and always looks forward to their visits.
We are very pleased with all the carers that help my wife in the morning. They are caring and careful and well trained. They move her from her bed by a ceiling hoist and they wash and dress her and move her to her electric wheelchair where she remains for the day.
My mother has two care pro visits per day and these have enabled her to maintain a more independent life. Due to Mum's condition she still believes she is independent when in reality without her carer's assistance, she would not be able to stay in the house and live the fulfilling life she still has. With my father sadly in full-time care, the companionship is invaluable and all the team are great at being both patient and supportive when Mum is feeling sad and overwhelmed by life events. The quality of the updates logged each visit provides my brother and I with great comfort that Mum is safe, cared for and is getting out enjoying her visits to see Dad, go shopping or for a walk, all inevitably followed by coffee and cake. Whenever we need further assistance or advice the office team are on hand to provide help and reassurance in a professional and friendly manner. We're very grateful to the team who are as much of a support to ourselves as family members as they are to Mum as the client.
The office is always friendly and helpful too and on the rare occasion there are any disruptions to the rota they communicate very quickly to arrange alternatives.
Great company and always happy to recommend them to others.
All care staff are friendly willing and helpful, particularly understanding of dementia care. Able to cope with emergencies and deal with appropriately. Mum was grateful for their support particularly after several falls which needed an ambulance.
I have two carers a day, one to wash and help dress the upper half. The second, cooks the meals. Both carers do all sorts of little jobs, which I am unable to do as I have only my left hand, eg, they are able to undo the jars etc, put out the daily papers in the recycle bins etc.
I have enjoyed my carer's company and help.
Then someone from the office rang for a catch-up and offered to chase up the surgery for me so Mum could have her flu jab at home. That was a great relief I'm struggling with my own health at the moment.
Finally, this afternoon because Mums' washing machine isn't working at the moment a Home Instead assistant took a lot of mum's washing home with her to do it there and bring it back. All of this in my opinion is beyond and above what we might have expected and Mum and I are both very grateful that Home Instead staff go the extra mile.
I am very happy with all the help I have had.
Very happy with the standard of service from Home Instead. Office staff very efficient organising carers and answer telephone. Carers always on time and very professional. Made a huge difference to us.
The standard of care is really high (mother is an Alzheimer's patient) and their patience and understanding of the condition helps keep my mother calm and content.
During an emergency, I put in a call, and within 5 minutes help had arrived at the door.
My mother will hopefully carry on enjoying her independence at home, thanks to the team at Home Instead.
They really put the care in a care agency, the majority of the staff they hire are fantastic and they seem like a real team. The office staff are great at dealing with issues and for someone like me with both physical and mental health conditions, this is so important and helps reduce my anxiety. The only thing I’d change is more continuity.
They say diamonds are formed under pressure and this certainly applies to my current team (including the office staff), who simply shines and radiate light to those they care for. They make me feel less alone and more able to cope with what life throws at me.
I am truly grateful for them.
I have had Home Instead for the past 3 years and I have been most impressed with all the help, attention and care provided to me. The carers know my way of life here and do all they can to enhance it. Thank you so much Home Instead.
I have been very satisfied with all my carers. My only complaint is your very high costs!
Since having the support of my carers I have been able to enjoy again the full advantage of living at home. They support me with whatever I need or chat over medical advice. Getting older, I never expected to enjoy carers visiting me, but I do! they have becomes such a good support and lovely friends.
My father is 90-years-old and does not want to leave his home of 62 years. Home Instead allow this wish to come true. My brothers and I are fully confident in allowing Home Instead to be the sole 'caregivers' for our father. There can be no greater praise than that!
My mother who suffered from dementia, extreme deafness and a level of stubbornness was initially unwilling to accept care. Home Instead and their care staff worked with me to a successful outcome. I found their staff to be outstanding both office staff and carers. They always did that little bit extra to make my life easier. Their arrangements were clear always fulfilled and easy to follow. The use of an App creating a diary was deeply reassuring. On occasions additional staff were required they were always found, even at short notice. If my mother was in accepting of a carer they were changed immediately. Frankly, they’ve been brilliant.
Home Instead is a wonderful care provider. The individual carers are very skilled, friendly and helpful in everything they do. They treat clients with the utmost care and companionship and are a huge credit to the organisation.
