The Home Instead team have been kind and caring and full of support for my Dad. Change is difficult for him, but both the fabulous carer and the support/leadership team have gone the extra mile to help Dad and have kept in close contact with me. As I am not living locally, the whole team have stepped
in to provide companionship and support in between the visits that we can make, allowing him to remain safely in his own home.

I have been a client of Home Instead for three years now. I experienced a bleed on the brain ten years ago which resulted in an inability to use my left arm and hand as well as limited mobility. Consequently, I require assistance with washing, dressing, preparing food and taking medication. I have
been very happy with the service provided by Home Instead which put together a detailed and flexible care plan which is constantly updated to adapt to any changing circumstances, and which is sensitive to both my dignity and needs. They provided me with a regular carer who is highly skilled and who has always treated me, despite my ever changing moods with respect, humour, and understanding. When she takes her holidays, Home Instead have always ensured that I meet her substitute beforehand in order to reduce any potential anxiety. The company also responds very quickly to any queries and concerns. I therefore have no hesitation in recommending this highly professional care service to others.

From the very beginning I knew I could trust Gerry and the team to look after mum. They visit mum every day and communicate with me via the app to share updates about the care visits. I know the carers to be a blend of professionalism, kindness and common sense. They understand mum's needs, respect
her, and step in when there's a crisis. Every time I've needed to ask a question, share concerns or ask for support, Gerry and Sally have been there on the end of the phone. They were able to match mum with carers that are most suited to her disposition. With the app it is reassuring to see how mum is each day, if she's eaten and how her mood is. I've met most of the staff and all of them have been very patient and kind. This means if I go away for a few days I can relax knowing they will be there, and also keep me informed if needed. I have nothing but praise for the team and have total confidence in them. Thank you for everything you do!!!

In our experience, Home Instead (Bradford/Leeds) has been the most disappointing care provider we have used. Communication from management was poor, and concerns often felt dismissed rather than addressed. Emails were not always acknowledged, and follow-up was inconsistent, making issues difficult to
resolve.
We experienced problems with staff training and practical care. Some carers appeared unsure about safe transfers, and family members were occasionally asked to assist. On one occasion, a morning visit could not be completed, which was very distressing.
We also raised concerns about infection control, an unlocked front door, compression stockings not reapplied, wound care confusion, and medication discrepancies between records and the dosset box.
Overall, we lacked confidence in the standard of care and would not use this provider again.

Our Care Professionals follow regulated moving and handling practices and do not undertake tasks outside of those guidelines - regardless of client family members requesting us to do so. Any concerns are reviewed promptly, investigated where required, and addressed in line with our procedures, with clear documentation maintained.

Some matters referenced relate to clinical or external healthcare responsibilities, including wound care and aspects of medication management, overseen and prescribed by NHS professionals and pharmacists. We work alongside these services and escalate concerns appropriately as part of our standard practice.

We have been with Home Instead for just over 6 months now. I was very hesitant at first as my mum's previous company were really bad, but Home Instead from the start have been amazing. My mum has 2 carers who she gets on really well with; they are more like family.
Office staff have been great, always
call me with any problems & they will put extra visits in at a moment's notice.

I am very happy to say that the carers who look after me are very, very good. They do my light household jobs because I cannot manage household chores anymore. Nothing is too much trouble, so I couldn't manage without help.

Our first care company supplied many different carers of various abilities, so when the radio advertised care for dementia sufferers, as my wife changed. The change to having 3 primary carers working to set routines improved care dramatically.
You supply care professionals who really care, work to
sound duties, using gentle persuasion, with patience and some style.

Home Instead have provided companionship services to my Wife, who has Alzheimer's, for over two years. The service has been dependable and the team are friendly and caring. They have coped well with the progression of the disease and my Wife has benefited from the time spent with the Carers. Home
Instead gave me confidence that they meet regulatory requirements and that they are motivated by providing outstanding services in the care sector.

I have been using the services of Home Instead for over a year. The service is quite expensive but very informative.
I have the same carer every week (apart from when they are on holiday) and it's nice to see the same person each week.

I am absolutely delighted with the care I have received from Home Instead. Initially, someone from the office visited me to see what help I needed and this is passed on to the carers who follow that plan but are always willing to do any other tasks that crop up. Whenever possible the same girls come
regularly so you get to know them and likewise, they get to know you. If for any reason you have another carer they always shadow the regular one on a visit. so you never have someone you haven't met before. They are always bright and cheerful and I look forward to their visits. They mostly have a car and will take you for appointments which you inform the office about and clear it with them. Yes, I can recommend Home Instead 100%.

Having experienced a decline in the quality of care my father was receiving, we decided to move over to Home Instead. I can safely say it was the right decision. The manager and his team have delivered everything they promised from day 1, and we couldn't be more pleased.

Can't fault the quality of service provided by Home Instead to my mother.
She's not the easiest person to please but for the most part they managed it very well.
She had illness, hospital and doctors issues in the mix and the carers took it all in their stride.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

The team have been providing visits to my mum for a year now, the carers are always on time, helpful and provide Mum with the help and companionship she needs due to her anxiety and frailty. I would recommend them without hesitation.

When I first contacted the Bradford Home Instead office they were so friendly & helpful! My dad had fallen in the house and obviously needed some sort of home help but was very reluctant to accept this - after a friendly meeting with the management team at his home we convinced him that we would trial
it first and see how it goes. Within days of making contact with Home Instead, my dad had a carer coming in once a day for an hour - all the carers are great - happy to do anything for my dad and he says he loves them coming now! They take him for a walk, tidy up, prepare meals or food shopping- nothing is too much trouble! I think what he loves most is the company and having a coffee whilst sitting and chatting. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who wants a carer for their loved ones that actually care about them!
