Home Instead is a business, based in Renfrewshire. The company was established in January 2018 and has the ambition to provide excellent support at home for the older generation and to build the name of Home Instead as the most trusted company for personalised home care.

Home Instead’s Renfrewshire service tailors care to client’s personal requests and individual needs. With visits lasting a minimum of an hour, they can give clients the attention and support they deserve. They offer the full range of companionship, home help, personal and dementia care services and have gained recognition from health professionals and families for the difference they make to their clients' lives.

Home Instead makes sure that the service they offer is simply focused on each individual client. They are committed to providing a high-quality service, and they want clients to live happy and fulfilled lives in their own homes and will do everything in their power to make that happen. They realise that finding effective Care at home is a daunting prospect, so they believe that putting the client’s specific requests at the centre of the conversation and building enough time into the service to meet every need will make the process easier.

Key Benefits:

•        Minimum one hour visits give time to develop relationships - with visits starting at the agreed time.
•        They carefully match Caregivers to clients
•        Guarantee a Reliable service with continuity of CareGivers to their clients

Home Instead covers all of Renfrewshire including Paisley, Renfrew, Linwood, Kilbarchan, Bridge of Weir, Kilmacolm, Bishopton and Erskine. They also cover Barrhead and Neilston in East Renfrewshire. CareGivers live throughout the territory, and the majority have their own cars, so they will encourage their clients to get out and about to local attractions or cafés.

We contacted homeinstead when we needed to get care in place quickly for my mother in law. She gets two visits a day and loves spending her time with the carers. The carers are fantastic with her - providing the essential bespoke care she needs as well as much needed companionship. It gives her routine
and means she can stay in her own home for longer. The office staff and managers are easy to get hold of if we need anything and are always sympathetic to our requests or worries. They have given us peace of mind in very difficult and emotional times. Can't thank or recommend the whole team enough.
Reply from Paul Armstrong, Business Director at Home Instead (Renfrewshire & Barrhead)Thanks Beth, from the first time we spoke, we wanted to help, and put in place a support plan to allow your mother-in-law to continue to stay in her own home. Communication is always critical, and together we have developed a system that means her routines, our schedule and the daily tasks are constantly updated to ensure that she feels very well supported, while retaining her independence. Thanks for taking the time to write such an upbeat and positive review.

My father has been a client of Home Instead for several years. They took him to see his wife in the care home and also did his shopping. The carers were all very reliable and treated my dad with the utmost respect.
My dad enjoyed the visits. My fathers health took a rapid decline and I had to increase
the carers with hardly any notice. Home Instead stepped up and managed to get carers in immediately who cared for my dad through a difficult period until he went into hospital.
The app was very useful to see what was happening in real time.
All the carers were very kind to dad and always treated him with respect
I would highly recommend Home Instead.

My uncle started receiving support from Home Instead a couple of months ago. He's now settled into a good pattern of support with three visits per week. All of the staff who've visited have been friendly and helpful, and he's now receiving visits primarily from a particular member of staff who has hit
it off nicely with my uncle. He's built friendship and trust with my uncle who I know enjoys his visits. Overall, I've been impressed with Home Instead and the excellent people who work for them.
Reply from Paul Armstrong, Business Director at Home Instead (Renfrewshire & Barrhead)Thanks, one team member has been able to develop a great rapport with your uncle - shared interests and familiarity make a real difference. We are happy with the way the support is developing. We appreciate you asking us to get involved.

Can't express enough the amazing care and fantastic work from a particular staff member for mum. She is making mums time feel full and interesting , always happy to do things and take her out and about to appointments , socialising and helping at home with cleaning and shopping etc. . All the things
that we would be helping mum with day to day but all live too far away. As mums dementia has progressed , all of the staff have supported us and adapted the care as we've needed it Great communication from all of the office team too.
I would 100% recommend
Reply from Paul Armstrong, Business Director at Home Instead (Renfrewshire & Barrhead)Thanks for taking the time to provide this wonderful feedback, and for giving us the opportunity to support your mum. Both my parents are delighted with the service provided - this includes the people who attend - when I say attend it is probably more like a visit as they are all so friendly and cannot do enough for them
In addition the office back-up is very accommodating to their needs - picking up emergency prescriptions
on their way to their visit and putting the washing outside are done without any fuss.
Keep up the good work

The HomeCare team looked after my elderly mum during the final year of her life. Helping her with meal preparation and providing friendship and support. She benefited hugely from seeing the team - enjoying their company and chat. And the team were brilliant at keeping in touch with me about my mum's
health particularly when they noticed she wasn't doing so well. Every single person I dealt with in the team was approachable, friendly, compassionate and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend anyone looking for help with caring for their loved ones to speak to HomeCare.
Reply from Alison Barlea, Office manager at Home Instead (Renfrewshire & Barrhead)Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words. Everyone is really friendly and the contact is fantastic. Mum seems to be really happy with the girls that are coming in and it lifts her mood. They are all so helpful and are willing to help with housework when they are in attendance for meal prep. The feedback on the app is great as you can see
what has happened daily. Contact by message and the app are great.. I am very happy that I have chosen Home Instead as a secondary care team for my mum
Reply from Paul Armstrong, Business Director at Home Instead (Renfrewshire & Barrhead)We're always happy to be helpful in a variety of ways, and the team enjoy visiting your mum. Homeinstead carers were excellent. The management at Homeinstead were very helpful. If an issue arose they dealt with it immediately. They kept a small team of carers to deal with my husband who had dementia so change was not good for him, I can't recommend this care company high enough.

My husband has Young Onset Alzheimer's. I was looking for a company who could support me whilst I am working. This wasn't going to be easy because my hours can be lumpy. From the outset the owner, set out to find out exactly what we needed, what would suit my husband and to ensure they could support
us. Everyone we have engaged with, from direct support worker to staff in the office, we have found to be helpful and caring. I am delighted we have the support of Home Instead.

The Home Instead Provider comes to my parents weekly. She shows great initiative in organising my Mums clothes to help my Dad who cares for my Mum. She genuinely cares for them both. Today she went to help my Dad when he was involved in a car accident keeping me informed by phone every step of the way.
She took him home and made sure he was OK there, then helped him to get groceries. She really went above and beyond her hours and her duty. I live a long way away and she made the situation so much better than it might have been. Although this was an extraordinary occurrence she shows exactly the same commitment at every visit.
Reply from Paul Armstrong, Business Director at Home Instead (Renfrewshire & Barrhead)This was an unusual situation, but we were glad to be in the right place at the right time. Our team enjoy supporting your parents, and are happy to help with anything that happens. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to provide support.

I can't thank the Director and his team enough for their care and attention for my Mum.

I live over 400 miles away and your team visit my Mum everyday, spend time with her and keep me up to date. I'm so thankful that I found out about you in my time of need. I'd never been in this situation before

and was at my wit's end. The onboarding process was easy, nothing is too much bother for your team and my Mum is willing to accept their help (which wasn't a given!)

My Mum is adamant that she stays in her own home and your team make this possible. Thank you!

Reply from Paul Armstrong, Business Director at Home Instead (Renfrewshire & Barrhead)Many thanks for such a positive review. We try to make things straightforward, to provide helpful suggestions and also to react to things that need to be improved. Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Home Instead (Renfrewshire & Barrhead) is based on 30 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 5
