The family and dad are very pleased with our experience with homeinstead. The carers dad has are all so kind and patient. Dad looks forward to each visit. They all respect dads dignity and find time to listen to all his old stories. This report was written by Dad too.

My husband has Young Onset Alzheimer's. I was looking for a company who could support me whilst I am working. This wasn't going to be easy because my hours can be lumpy. From the outset the owner, set out to find out exactly what we needed, what would suit my husband and to ensure they could support us. Everyone we have engaged with, from direct support worker to staff in the office, we have found to be helpful and caring. I am delighted we have the support of Home Instead.

The Home Instead Provider comes to my parents weekly. She shows great initiative in organising my Mums clothes to help my Dad who cares for my Mum. She genuinely cares for them both. Today she went to help my Dad when he was involved in a car accident keeping me informed by phone every step of the way. She took him home and made sure he was OK there, then helped him to get groceries. She really went above and beyond her hours and her duty. I live a long way away and she made the situation so much better than it might have been. Although this was an extraordinary occurrence she shows exactly the same commitment at every visit.

This was an unusual situation, but we were glad to be in the right place at the right time. Our team enjoy supporting your parents, and are happy to help with anything that happens. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to provide support.

I can't thank the Director and his team enough for their care and attention for my Mum.

I live over 400 miles away and your team visit my Mum everyday, spend time with her and keep me up to date. I'm so thankful that I found out about you in my time of need. I'd never been in this situation before and was at my wit's end. The onboarding process was easy, nothing is too much bother for your team and my Mum is willing to accept their help (which wasn't a given!)

My Mum is adamant that she stays in her own home and your team make this possible. Thank you!

Many thanks for such a positive review. We try to make things straightforward, to provide helpful suggestions and also to react to things that need to be improved. I know we have had great co-operation to make sure the support we provide is fit for purpose. Your mum also enjoys our monthly cafe, which delights us all.

Excellent service from Home Instead, my mum really enjoys her time spent with the team and looks forward to her time with the staff 3 days a week.
Extra visits that we have arranged during holiday time, means I can go on holiday knowing my mum is in safe hands - which is wonderful.

Thank you to the whole time for your fantastic level of care.

The service gives peace of mind to know that loved ones both mental and physical health is being looked after, whther this is for a few hour or week or 24/7.

Friendly staff that have good verbal and written communication skills. I also really vale the daily notes provided by the carer thru the use of the app that is invaluable to being kept informed.

Every member of staff has been courteous, helpful, and willing to undertake any task. They have all quickly learned where things are kept and remembered this on subsequent visits. They all show interest in the client as a person, expressing concern if something is not as it should be, or offering encouragement and praise when they notice improvement. They make you feel cared for and their cheerful attitude is a great morale booster.

Home Instead have supported Mum for over a year and a half now, and have been a great help. She was initially reluctant, but the care pros are so friendly and helpful that she has come to trust and rely on them.
For someone with a touch of dementia, it would be nice if she saw a smaller range of staff, but the more days we ask Home Instead to add on, of course, the larger the group of staff that they have to allocate to her. It is good that the team caring for each individual do communicate amongst themselves about the client's needs.
The office staff are very supportive, always available and patient.
We have especially appreciated the flexibility of being able to add extra visits / cancel visits at short notice as Mum's needs and circumstances change, sometimes with very little notice.
I like having access to the app to be able to read each care professional's notes on each visit, as Mum is not always able to communicate as much detail to me over the phone.

Couldn't do without them now!

We have had a small dedicated team to support dad (94) at home for several years. He was reticent about having any care outside the family but soon got to know and rely on the team. The small team suited his needs really well allowing him to build confidence and bond with them. Primarily there to give dad breakfast and lunch and a bit of company, everyone was friendly, flexible, approachable and looked after dads needs very well. We were contacted if they felt there was a change in dads health or wellbeing and they responded to any wee notes regarding dad that we might leave them. They called if any of the carers were delayed for any length of time which enabled us to let dad know, which we appreciated. Having a mix of men and lady carers was a bonus as dad could chat "cowboy films" with the men.

The management team also worked very well with us to provide additional care at times when it was required and we were never let down. Would definitely recommend Home Instead. Thank you all.

My wife has advancing Parkinson's disease. She is now unable to walk or stand without help. My wife is now 88 years old. My wife now has two carers for a hour in the morning and also at bedtime. Home Instead are very flexible and they have superb, well-trained ladies. We are delighted to have them coming to our home helping with food primarily. They also have a great cleaning service. Frankly we could not do without them.

My team at Home Instead deserve a well-earned 5-star plus in my opinion. The most regular ones have become like family, and the whole team always go above and beyond the call of duty, willing to lend a hand whatever dilemma we may face. Continuity of care is paramount to me in my position, and having the same six team members who I trust implicitly and have complete confidence in makes a world of difference to my life. God bless you all.

Sent with so much thanks and appreciation.
