Home Instead Southport & Formby services include companionship, home help, personal care, meal preparation, accompanying clients to appointments, post-hospital care and medication reminders. Assistance for short periods of time with 24-hour care subject to agreement can also be arranged subject to assessment.

Home Instead is also proud to offer a 'Live-in' service.

Home Instead works closely with clients, clients' families and healthcare professionals to identify a person’s needs and the best way for a person to remain independent, confident and safe in their home.

Home Instead's Care Professionals receive specialist training, and are required to have a minimum of 4 references in addition to an enhanced (DBS) background check. They do not wear uniforms as this can create a barrier, particularly when a care professional accompanies a client out into the community.

At Home Instead, continuity of care is paramount, to ensure that Caregiver/client relationships are established, and to help identify any changes in a client's physical and mental wellbeing. This is particularly important for clients living with Dementia.

We chose Home Instead to make a daily AM call from 2021-2025 for my mum, who was struggling to live at home alone. She had excellent carers throughout, and we enjoyed clear and timely communications of any issues or changes. This was particularly important as we live a distance away and mum suffered
from dementia and poor mobility, but stayed in her own home until 93 years old. She is now happily living in a care home. We would recommend HI very highly.

Home Instead have been helping Mum for 6 years. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They have been invaluable and took such a weight off our shoulders. Home Instead has provided my mum with excellent, consistent care, and I couldn't be more grateful for their support. Initially, Mum had them coming in a couple of times a week, which was already a great help. However, after a recent hospital stay when my mum became quite unwell, it became clear that
her care package needed to be increased.
Home Instead were incredible throughout this process. They supported me every step of the way, working closely with me to put a new care plan in place that has made a significant difference in my mum's recovery since returning home. Their team is highly professional, compassionate, and genuinely listens to the needs and preferences of their clients. They regularly review care plans to ensure they're still meeting those needs.
Most importantly, they've given me peace of mind and provided my mum with consistent, high-quality care that has helped her regain strength and confidence. I can't recommend them highly enough. Thank you.

Home Instead provided great service for Dad at a time when his needs were accelerating at quite a rate. The staff always managed to meet Dad's requirements despite the fact that there was very often short notice. Wherever possible, existing carers filled these gaps so he would see familiar faces. He
is now in a care home but was able to stay in his own home for quite an extended period, thanks to their care plan.

I used the service for the last 18 months of my husbands life. I had help with his washing and dressing for 2 then 3 and eventually 4 mornings a week as his dependency increased 2 carers remained throughout and each formed an excellent bond with him. There were others for shorter periods - always introduced
and in the main equally supportive. My contact with other office staff was positive.

The care and support provided by everyone at Home Instead was fantastic, not only for mum but for us as a family. The carers could not have done any more for my mum to make her last few weeks more comfortable. They all acted with and treated mum with great care, compassion, empathy, professionalism

I had no hesitation in asking Home Instead to help my elderly aunt, due to prior experience of their excellent care of my dad - locally in 2016 and another aunt in 2023. The service is professional and caring at each stage - meticulous planning, organising, meet and greet the carers first, carer matching
and care - fulfilling the needs. Carers are always kind, friendly, respectful, dignifying, reliable and on time. A whole hour of top class care at the allotted time makes Home Instead care packages far superior to others.

Everyone at Home Instead were excellent, whether it was the carers who gave my mum the best care over the last year while she struggled to do everyday tasks in her own home. With their help and support she was able to live at home which is what she wanted. The ladies in the office also supported myself
and gave me advice from their experience because I had not been in this situation before. I would definitely recommend this company to friends.

Home instead are always reliable, caring and diligent. The communication is superb, both over the telephone and via daily notes. They cared for our aunt like she was a family member. I would rather pay these rates for this type of service.

I had a good experience using Home Instead Southport. The carers were friendly and professional. The office staff ensured my visits were covered. I was never left without care. I knew who was coming and they always arrived on time. The only reason I am leaving is due to the high cost.

Over the last 2 1/2 years, Home Instead have cared for my partner's parents who are both now deceased. The service started promptly, changes to the service have been agreed in a timely manner. The whole team at Home Instead were excellent. As we live a distance away, being able to read the respite after
each visit gave us reassurance. If there were any issues we would be informed promptly. The carers were professional, considerate, well-informed and did all they could to support my partner's parents and also my partner and myself. They provided advice on practical equipment to aid care. The parents appreciated the kindness and compassionate care provided.

Through professional service from beginning to end. Initial enquiry, setting out a care plan, contact with my dad and myself, reviews and especially the care my dad received. No negative experiences and I would definitely use the service again. I'm only terminating the service because my dad feels able

I have been extremely pleased and happy with the care provided by Home Instead over the past few weeks. All the carers have been extremely kind and friendly and have been very willing to do whatever I have asked and more! Whenever I have not given them a lot to do, it has just been lovely to chat with
them. It was excellent at the start of my care to be introduced to each of the carers who will be helping me, and I am getting to know them all well, and I look forward to them coming each day! I would certainly recommend the company to anyone who needed care at home. I would not fault them in any way. Any times, I have been in touch with the office, and they have always been very helpful.

The care for my mum was exceptional. She enjoyed her visits and the ladies did their best to follow Mum's planned menu. Leanne

Leanne Stubbs

Job Title: Operations Manager - with Registered Manager Duties Joined: 2007

Leanne’s role is to oversee all operational aspects of our service whilst remaining responsible as Registered Manager. This ensures that along with the management team, all of our clients are cared for in a safe and dignified manner. A lot of Leanne's time is spent ensuring that everything is in place for each client and that where appropriate referrals to other health and social care specialists, are made. Leanne also goes out to meet people who are interested in using the service and spends time with people to ensure that they receive the best possible service, tailored to meet their individual needs and preferences. Having had personal experience of caring for a loved one with Dementia, Leanne understands the challenges faced by family members and is passionate about ensuring that the care provided to every single one of our clients, is consistent, reliable and adaptable to meet peoples changing needs.


Leanne has gained a qualification in care management and leadership and in 2008 Leanne gained a BSc honours in Therapy Radiography. Prior to joining the office team, Leanne worked as a Caregiver for a number of different care agencies, Leanne now feels that at last, she has found a company that has time to care for its clients and provides quality service.

Charlotte

Charlotte Baines

Job Title: Head of Client Experience Joined: 2010

Charlotte joined Home Instead as a Care Professional in 2010 becoming a Senior in 2012 and then swiftly joining the office support team. She soon established a reputation for delivering a first-class service with empathy and care for all.


Promoted to Deputy Care Manager in 2016 and then onto Head of Client Experience Charlotte is often the face of Home Instead when she first meets families to talk about the benefits of homecare with Home Instead.
