I had two carers, both well trained, personable and a joy to have around. They were adaptable and thorough. The office staff were very professional and had both my and the carer's comfort and interests at heart.

My family and I have been so very relieved that Mum has had the support and help from her wonderful carers during this difficult time of lockdown. As we all live a distance away it has been a particularly worrying time for us but the care and companionship provided for our mother has made it so much easier. Enlisting the support of Home Instead last year when mum had a few setbacks has ensured that she is now still able to enjoy her independence but also has someone popping in to see her regularly and keep her spirits up. We are extremely grateful for the peace of mind that this brings.

The carers were kind, considerate and supportive to Mum during the years they cared for her. It was so good that she was able to be cared for in her own home. She regarded them all as friends rather than carers.

Although at the beginning of our journey with Home Instead (Southport) our initial experience has been extremely positive. My mother has been skillfully eased into her carer's frequent visits and they're developing relationship is progressing beyond expectation. I have found the members of the management team, with whom I have had dealings with to be highly professional personable and caring.

The ladies who came were well trained to deal with my mother-in-law, who has dementia. They were very patient and caring, listening to what she wanted but also persuasive to what she needed. I can highly recommend them.

We found the two-week contract quite limiting, and off-putting.

The management was efficient and in contact with me as often as necessary. The staff were friendly but often seemed a bit rushed during the course of an hour. Overall, we were happy with the service and there was a good system in place if there were any problems.

Home Instead provided excellent care to both my aunts and ensured they lived out their days at their home before dying aged 98 and 97 (the latest in December 2019) respectively after approx 15 years of support from their carers, a number of whom came to be looked on as friends.

In summary a professional, organised, friendly and good value for money provider of senior care - on the very rare occasions they fell below their high standards they were quick to rectify. I would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

The office staff were friendly, but at times communication between them and the carers was not ideal.

The care I received was outstanding. All the staff were lovely, and I would highly recommend the Southport branch.

We first needed care about three years ago. Their professionalism was evident on first contact. They transformed my life, knowing that my mother was being cared for by friendly and concerned carers, was wonderful. Anything that they were concerned about was referred to me immediately. They regularly check on paperwork and customer satisfaction - everyone is cheerful and friendly; the caregivers are precisely that. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They are reliable, friendly and flexible - just wonderful!

My cousin was supported by Home Instead earlier this year. Sadly, she passed away unexpectedly only two weeks after support began at the age of just 34. Although she only received support for a very short period of time, Home Instead had a profoundly positive impact on her well-being during this time. My cousin had Aspergers, and we were looking for a provider to support her in increasing her independence and confidence in accessing the community. From start to finish, the staff at Home Instead went the extra mile. The team visited my cousin and I in her own home to discuss what she would like to achieve from their support. They then carefully considered my cousin's likes and interests and selected a member of staff with similar interests. My cousin praised Home Instead during the two weeks of support she received. This was of great reassurance to my family and I, as we don't live locally. After her sudden death, Home Instead showed great kindness to my family and me, it is the genuine sincerity and care for clients and their loved ones that lead me to highly recommend their service to anyone looking for a personalised high standard service.

The care my mother has received has made her final two years pleasant and enjoyable. Knowing her carers well and finding them warm, caring and as she described homely, she was calmer and relaxed in her final months.

Our experience has been very positive of the care given to one of our family - professional, very friendly and a high standard of care as always given.

Very quickly increased mum's care when dad took ill and passed away subsequently. This allowed me to spend valuable time with dad during his last days.

My mum's health deteriorated rapidly earlier in the year, and following a period in hospital, we agreed that she needed help in her home. Having researched a number of providers in Southport I contacted Home Instead as I was particularly keen that my mum had continuity of care.

I was very impressed with the offer and the fact that my mum would see the same carers each week. She now has carers twice a day and has built excellent relationships with them, seeing them as friends. Regular meals, medicines administered correctly and someone to chat to have all contributed to an improvement in her health and, although she still suffers from some memory loss, she's so much better than she was.

I've been particularly impressed with Home Instead's ability to adapt to my mum's changing needs quickly and with their feedback mechanisms. As there is no family locally it's important that I'm alerted immediately if my mum has a problem and Home Instead contact me quickly and efficiently.
