Over the last 2 1/2 years, Home Instead have cared for my partner's parents who are both now deceased. The service started promptly, changes to the service have been agreed in a timely manner. The whole team at Home Instead were excellent. As we live a distance away, being able to read the respite after each visit gave us reassurance. If there were any issues we would be informed promptly. The carers were professional, considerate, well-informed and did all they could to support my partner's parents and also my partner and myself. They provided advice on practical equipment to aid care. The parents appreciated the kindness and compassionate care provided.

They regularly review the care they give, and communicate with family members and health professionals are flexible and responsive when unexpected changes to needs occur. The service my father received from Home Instead (Southport) was life-changing. Since he started receiving a morning visit each day, his physical and mental health has markedly improved, so after two years of care, he seems two years younger. I have enjoyed and benefitted from the Home Instead service. However, the sudden rise in the weekly cost of £2.50 caused me to dispense with the service. If you had raised the cost in increments I would not be complaining about the rise. I suggest maybe 50p, £1 and £1. If I were good at maths I would be able to work out the percentage rise from £18.00 to £20.50 an hour. I hope carers' wages will rise accordingly.

Everything was efficiently managed by the office. We have two lovely caregivers who helped my husband with care and consideration. They were always cheerful and I was enormously appreciative of their help and friendliness.

Dad always wanted to stay in the house that he moved to in 1971 – the home in which he and my Mum raised the family. Even though his eyesight gradually deteriorated and he needed more help, Dad wanted to live in his own home rather than move to a care home. With the support of his lovely CareGivers, Dad managed to do this until the week before he died – aged 98.
Not only were Dad’s CareGivers kind and responsible but the Home Instead office staff were always helpful. The pandemic of the last two years has seen many challenges within the care sector and I can say that all the staff were consistently professional – their administration was spot-on and they always replied to requests promptly. They also listened and gave appropriate advice on the occasions when I was unsure how to manage a particularly tricky situation from my home 170 miles away.
I have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead Southport.

Meet the Team (2)
Leanne’s role is to oversee all operational aspects of our service whilst remaining responsible as Registered Manager. This ensures that along with the management team, all of our clients are cared for in a safe and dignified manner. A lot of Leanne's time is spent ensuring that everything is in place for each client and that where appropriate referrals to other health and social care specialists, are made. Leanne also goes out to meet people who are interested in using the service and spends time with people to ensure that they receive the best possible service, tailored to meet their individual needs and preferences. Having had personal experience of caring for a loved one with Dementia, Leanne understands the challenges faced by family members and is passionate about ensuring that the care provided to every single one of our clients, is consistent, reliable and adaptable to meet peoples changing needs.
Leanne has gained a qualification in care management and leadership and in 2008 Leanne gained a BSc honours in Therapy Radiography. Prior to joining the office team, Leanne worked as a Caregiver for a number of different care agencies, Leanne now feels that at last, she has found a company that has time to care for its clients and provides quality service.
Charlotte joined Home Instead as a Care Professional in 2010 becoming a Senior in 2012 and then swiftly joining the office support team. She soon established a reputation for delivering a first-class service with empathy and care for all.
Promoted to Deputy Care Manager in 2016 and then onto Head of Client Experience Charlotte is often the face of Home Instead when she first meets families to talk about the benefits of homecare with Home Instead.
Charlotte is passionate about delivering on our promises to clients and their families and will stand in for Leanne during holiday periods.
